@@SuperBumblebee86 It doesn't matter. Had cops illegally searched it the same way, that dead body would not be admissible in court as evidence. The entire case would have to be thrown out. It's not one of those cases where they have no evidence, so they interrogate the person in an attempt to get them to confess or get them to make a mistake and incriminate themselves unintentionally or to lead them to more evidence, etc... This seems like a kind of BS back and forth "let's mess with him and see what we get" kind of interview.
The way that guy sat up when he understood that the body had been in the freezer he helped move. You can see how horrified pretty much all the third parties are in this. The number of innocent people this guy harmed. Starting with the victim and her family, and then all the innocent people he traumatized by getting them involved; not least of which the old couple who found the body.
The way he was slumped down before makes him kind of sus. $100/week to store a freezer with a lock on it should have set off some alarms too. They may have all thought he was storing drugs but everybody knew something was up.
He was slumped down because he knew he had no choice but waste his time being interrogated because he knew he didnt commit any crime so he probably deduced that police needed some information he could have to solve some case he knew he wasnt directly involved. But he pictured himself moving that freezer with a dismembered body inside very recently and that shocked him... he changed his posture when he got informed that he was moving a dead body without knowing it... with is normal. When someone asks to place a small freezer with a lock in their basement for $100 / week, mind you he’s on dishwasher’s wages raises a thousand red flags !
Red flags or not, she should have said no... but should never have broke into his property. It was a crime and it would be BS if she wasn't charged for it. The fact that it led to a psychopathic killers arrest don't matter.
The guy who agreed to hold onto the freezer likely helped Arturo get caught, and not just for the obvious reason that he discovered the body. Arturo was desperate in the days after the victim's disappearance. We know this from his friend's description of his behavior regarding the bonfire. We also know he was desperate from the fact that a guy working as a dishwasher is offering to pay $100 a week. He probably was planning on wrapping things up quickly. But after the $100/week offer, the guy said he'd take just a few bucks a month. This financial break might've prompted Arturo to relax a bit and take his foot off the gas. For four months, he left her in that freezer in someone else's home, padlocked but with a screwed-on hasp. He hadn't disposed of or destroyed key evidence, including the hammer, the bracelet, and the not-quite-clean-enough murder scene. He and his girlfriend didn't get their story straight. He put off taking care of this. If the guy had agreed to $100 a week, Arturo the dishwasher likely would have come back to retrieve the freezer and endgame this within a month. His friend's generosity really screwed him over. That's justice.
Wow. What a really good point. I didn't think about it but you're right. Had he not offered a suspicious amount for storing a freezer, which is suspicious anyways, he might have gotten away with it.
@@nightshadehelis9821 Like, how much money's worth of meat could that freezer even hold? He was four months into what was going to be $100 a week. By my math, that would have been around $1,700. At some point, you've got to be thinking, "There's no way this part-timer who is always asking for favors has more than two grand in meat in this freezer in our home." And even if he did, wouldn't he be coming back once in a while to pick up a roast and cook it? Although I guess meat has been appreciating in value lately, but not at this rate. Like dang.
Alturo was the type of guy that says thing like I'll give you 100 dollars a week and would never give anything but a song and a dance. Judging from the intro, I'm sure his friends knew that right away and it was not unusual for him. I think the wife's intuition kicked in and she said f-it I need to know why he put a lock on it while her husband was away.
Four months though? That's just being lazy and irresponsible. Everyone knows that you never hold on to a dead body in a locked freezer at a friend's house for more than 3 months and 23 days. Joking aside, I do wonder if the wife was charged with breaking into his freezer. It was locked and it was a crime for her to break into it. He had permission for it to be there and it had a lock on it, so she can't say she just opened it. She literally had to get a screwdriver and take off the door to see what was inside, which is no different than breaking into another person's safe or locked tool box (or gun box/lock box, etc...).
If they didn't know, then they can't be charged with crimes. By definition, to be guilty of committing a crime you have to have knowing committed the crime. You can't charge a garbage man with "destroying evidence" every time he throws a garbage bag into the back of the garbage truck that has some kind of evidence of a crime in it. I know what you mean though. I'd be pissed if one of my friends used/abused me like that and drug me into something like that. Would be better for him to not tell you than for him to tell you though. At least then you have plausible deniability.
“You’re gonna lose your job? Did you hear what I said? This ain’t about your outback dishwasher job anymore dude. There’s a body in a feeezer and a guy’s saying you brought it to his house. It doesn’t matter, your dishwashing job at outback is fucked” 🗣️ 🔥🔥🔥

No. Lawyering up is NEVER incriminating. Its my personal policy. Just like questioning people is their department policy. You better lawyer up wether you did or didn't do the crime to keep the detectives from overstepping their legal boundaries.
@@chrislancaster1982 Legally, it can't be looked at as incriminating or suspicious. It's a RIGHT!!! Guilty or innocent, only a fool would not have a lawyer present when answering questions... and in most cases, the person should remain silent, even if he/she is innocent. Truly innocent people end up in jail/prison all the time, because they talked to cops and the cops twisted their words and used them to make the person look guilty. I can't even count how many cases I've studied where innocent people got out of jail after years, because they were stupid and talked to cops... and then had to fight and fight and fight to finally prove their innocence. Although the presumption of innocence is a RIGHT, many cops/DA's, judges and juries assume guilt and sometimes it's impossible for innocent people to be able to prove their innocence. That's why the burden of proof is on the court and not the defendant. They have to prove guilt and not the suspect/defendant having to prove his innocence. It's just messed up that some people are too ignorant to understand the law and the Rights of suspects/defendants (like why they're so important and why they should never be violated).
@@chrislancaster1982 It’s never suspicious. It’s our god given right. We should be suspicious of government who thinks it’s suspicious for us to exercise our rights.
I’ve seen too many instances of innocent people spending decades in jail to know that the cops don’t always get it right. I’d lawyer up instantly if I was falsely accused of a crime. People make false confessions, circumstantial evidence can be wrong, and a person can lose their lives over an overzealous cop trying to make a name for himself.

@nathanaeldavid6238 I know men like that too. In any case though it's complete BS. It was breaking and entering. He even had permission for it to be there and was paying rent for it. It is no different than breaking into someone else's safe or any other locked container.
Dude there was a dead body in there lol @deucedeuce1572
@@SuperBumblebee86 It doesn't matter. Had cops illegally searched it the same way, that dead body would not be admissible in court as evidence. The entire case would have to be thrown out. The ends don't justify the means and people have Rights. If you have a lock on something that you own, you have the RIGHT to not have people break into it. That is why breaking and entering laws exist. What she/they did was a crime. Finding a dead body does not excuse that. It doesn't magically stop being a crime.
@@deucedeuce1572Sorry that's not how the law works. You're protected by the fourth amendment from the government. That fridge was on private property you can look at anything you want inside it. Storage units can also check to make sure you're not doing anything illegal without telling you as well.

@@vatechie21 I thought he did a good job with Anthony though. He really didn't need to worry too much about it though, because they already had all the evidence they needed to arrest/convict him.
@@vatechie21I liked it bc it was obvious the people were shocked and not involved. He got them all to give info.

@@brunomartinello1114 --Are you a relative of this guy? The mother bought the freezer on Arturo's behalf and then the son helped move it into someone else's house. There's nothing normal about that.
Okay, so you can kill, and dismember the body of someone, try to throw it off on your friends, then get a few years in prison. He should’ve been given life. That’s just grotesque.
Ooh! Yeah, you've provided a rational explanation! I really couldn't think of one. He might have been able to frame someone like that.

But yeah, that’s still a long time. You should watch her interrogation too if you have the time!
@@TimmyTandThePainTrain I'm okay with 18 years for her. She was probably more involved, but didn't directly commit the murder. She probably only got 18 years because she decided to take a plea deal and testify against the guy. Otherwise, it would be harder to prove their guilt.
Jesus, that one guy with his mom was so uninterested in the whole situation until he heard that girl was found in that freezer.
Bothered me from the get go. Makes me think he knows more. I'm not done the video yet tho aha
Sat up Real Quick when he heard that though. Hard to say if it was natural or not or if he was just acting.
He probably wasn't told anything about the situation other than they wanted to ask about him moving a freezer. His mom wanted to come because she wanted to make sure he talked to the cops right. He likely thought it was something that didn't matter as much like drugs or something. I would be pretty annoyed if I had to take time out of my day because I moved a fridge and my idiot friend got caught with drugs or something.
I thought they were a couple, must not have been paying attention very well; and no I think his reaction was genuine, although the weight of the freezer makes me not think that way completely

@@deucedeuce1572lmao you serious?😂😂
@@deucedeuce1572Damn. How many freezers you got stashed around town?
That sounds spot on.
Arturo looks like a real charmer. I can see what drew her to him. A kind of homeless serial killer mental institution escapee vibe to him.

It looks like there were giant red flags flying and these friends were clueless. People need to learn to use their innate discernment.

No. Lawyering up is NEVER incriminating. Its my personal policy. Just like questioning people is their department policy. You better lawyer up wether you did or didn't do the crime to keep the detectives from overstepping their legal boundaries.
It's not incriminating, however, it is usually suspicious...
@@chrislancaster1982I’d rather look suspicious with legal representation rather than talk to police. Even if I didn’t do the crime.
@@chrislancaster1982
It’s never suspicious.
