I am a barca fan but pau cubarsi doesnt give enough of his flowers.Debuting at 16 years on UCL and playing against oshimen and kvaratskhelia and getting MOTM on debut.
Being a starting CB at 17 is a bigger achievement than starting as a forward or midfielder at 17. For a defender if he does one mistake it can cost a whole game but he has been rock solid at the back.

The video title must be Lamine Yamal.
Anyways, Barcelona has the best academy in the world, and Man United, Chelsea, Ajax and in recent seasons Man City, these clubs have the best young players coming through.
When it is about young players, for me, I naturally am much more impressed and awe-struck with defensive players (CBs, FBs, CDM, CM) because they need a lot of maturity. Still, why Yamal stands out is that he is so mature man. While sitting at home and watching, it's easy to say how the player must play, what he must do but the pass I think he should play, when he should go inside or outside, and he plays/does exactly that!! Such a high IQ at this age!!
Ofc, as a Man United fan, happy to have Garnacho, Kobbie and Yoro. They are in the top 10-12.

To me a wonderkid has to be defined as a teenager, you can call the above players "young players" but not wonder kids. Age 14-19 are wonderkids to me, so musiala, wirtz, garnacho, etc are all out of the conversation to me. Heres my top 8 as a Barcelona fan.
    8. Matthys Tel. Tel is a 19 year old footballer who plays for Bayern Munich, last season he got 7 goals and 5 assists, which for me is EXTREMELY impressive. Ppl compare his finishing and dribbling ability to karim benzema, which to me actually seems kinda valid honestly.
    7. Pau Cubarsi: Mentioned many times in the video, and as a barca fan, if you watch his games, this kid defines the word special. Other than Leny Yoro, I have almost never ever heard of a wonderkid defender, he literally got MOTM in his fricking UCL DEBUT. Pau doing this at just 18 baffles me. So for me hes no. 6, I mean this guys gonna be a future captain for sure.
    6. Kenan Yildiz: Bro this man is a star, if u just look at his stats, he looks like a worse version of Antony, but if you watch his game, MY GOD, his goal against Salernintana (idk if i spelled that right) was just insane, tho weahs goal that night was puskas worthy, so it didnt make the headlines as much.
    5. Warren Zaire Emery: Emery impressed me A LOT last season, he was incredible on the ball, could cross and pass in tight positions, he was VITAL to PSG last season, and I think Luis Enrique saw and understood as well, so i cant wait to see how he develops later on during the season.
    4. Kobbie Mainoo: Mainoo was INSANE last season, he was the perfect player, incredible on the ball, incredible vission, stamina, defending, shooting, just an incredibly High IQ footballer, for me he is somewhat the next Paul Scholes, thats how incredible he is.
    3. Arda Guler: As much as I hate real madrid, this guy is a magician, incredible on the ball, creative in making chances, and had an incredible game to goal ratio. What I rlly dont like is the Turkish fans and them overhypeing him, the moment you see him in a video, turkish kids raid the comments and spamming tons of turkish flags and words like: "HANG THE FLAGS HA NG HANG HANG" so thats 1 thing to me that i see somewhat annoying.
    2. Endrick: Hold up, hold up, ppl are gonna call me stupid, but i guarantee you that all this hate is coming from the fact he called Bobby Charlton his idol, or the fact that he made 1 pass against Uruguay. Bruv stop putting pressure on him, let him develop, plus hes a striker, he doesn't get the ball often against a team like uruguay, whos rlly defensive. Anyways, this kid is actually insane when it comes to goalscoring and positioning, like his shot power is INSANE, that goal against stuttgart was just a Ronaldo moment to me, Ancelotti needs to give him more minutes, hes doing and performing so much better than Mbappe rn, and thats a fact.
    1. Lamine Yamal: Do i rlly need to explain myself on this one? I CANT EVEN DESCRIBE HOW GOOD HE IS RN, DEFINETLY TOP 5 WINGERS IN THE WORLD RN, AT JUST 17 YRS OLD BRUV, 17 YRS OLD.. I always wanted to see another messi vs ronaldo debate, and I am soooo badly wanting a Yamal vs Endrick debate, cuz i wanna see it so badly.

I´m curious if and when people gonna be putting Aleksandar Pavlović (20, DM / CM) in these lists.
Debut for Bayern II (4th division) in March 23, debut for Bayern in October 23, debut for Germany in June 24.
Legitimate successor of Toni Kroos, "wipes the floor" with any other U21 midfielder statistically, probably even compared to U23/24. Key player and starter for Bayern and should and will be a starter for Germany at the WC26.
His quick rise (debut 4th division -> German international in under 1,5yrs), Kroos successor and his nasty, insane stats should be positively alarming for everyone already, but weirdly aren´t.

Bruh Barcelona had to be humbled massively to finally understand that their youth system was what made them.
What made in back in the early 2000’s? Some stars, but the background guys that held it down were homegrown.
2007-2012/15, who held it down? Mostly La masia graduates. Obviously they can’t have the best players in every position and you actually do eventually have to splash some money for a star. But not in the panic buying way they did when Neymar left. Those 2021-2023 years that really humbled Barcelona since Messi couldn’t just carry them to a Liga title was needed. They lost their touch, they were also heavily restricted because of their bad spending.
I mean look at all the top young players in the world who have coke out in the last 2-3 years, a lot of them were from La masia. Xavi Simon’s, Dani Olmo, and etc. these guys were in the academy, ready to become good as the last era got too old.
Barcelona have always had immense success with their academy without becoming Ajax, Dortmund, PSV, French teams Portuguese league teams. Those guys some how make hundreds of millions of their youth, yet can barely challenge every year for a league title in the better leagues.
Barcelona managed to make champions league semi final and final type of players, but they said somehow in 2016-2020 that it wasn’t something they needed, they needed big money names. That’s so stupid.
Barcelona should probably make some kind of legally binding rule where they must have constant La masia graduates every 2 years go to the first team.

Bartomeu and rosell really screwed the club. Coincidentally in early 2000's, Barca had financial issues after Gaspart, and it was Laporta who helped integrate the Lamasia squad. He came back with an even worse financial situation and did pretty much the same.

Wtf are you guys talking about Benfica's academy?! I agree João Neves is a good player, still young, but showing he can become a great player. Besides that, Enzo and Darwin didn't come from the academy, João Felix is yet to become a regular starter for any major team, Gonçalo Ramos is playing in the farmers league and is still mediocre. The only one that is for sure a great player is Ruben Dias. Bernardo's from the Benfica academy as well, but you can't compare Benfica's academy to it's rival's, Sporting. CR7, Nani, Pepe, Figo, Ricardo Quaresma, Paulo Futre, Simão Sabrosa, João Palhinha, Rafael Leão, Nuno Mendes and more. Wake up, guys, wake up.
