@@jpah8944just saw their fixtures, I genuinely believe if Brighton put their head in it they can get 7 wins from it. Aston Villa may be a struggle though. They honestly did really well vs the top teams.
With Forest, that one goal against Brighton, where Chris Wood dropped into space to receive the ball, laid it off, then that player sending Jota through was literally, in my mind, the most idealistic goal a team could score.
how can JJ have looked at Brighton's first 10 games and put them down a spot lol? Even before the win against City the signs have been very promising, done really well with a pretty hard run of fixtures
Brighton will surely finish above Angeball and Newcastle this year, comfortably, and would be a shout for top 4 but I can’t see Arsenal and Chelsea dropping out of there.
The next 3 games are big for Liverpool. Southampton could be tricky given they have to pick up points some time, and we might take our eye off them with Real Madrid rolling into town before City the following week. However, Liverpool could win all three and if they do I think they have to be favourites for the title. I know it’s still early but the only reasons Joe and JJ could give for Liverpool not being favourites were basically “City are City” and “Vibes man, vibes”. JJ is internally screaming “HE CAN’T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT!” every time Slot gets 3 points, but can’t explain why beyond, “he’s the same as Ten Hag, it shouldn’t work.”
Watching this just after City's Brighton result. Great stuff. However, (as a Liverpool fan) if I'm trying to be reasonable. Think of how Liverpool are being spoken about this season, the papers and pundits can't stop raving about Slot. Now think of how City are being spoken about now they've just lost to Brighton. It's "crisis club" talk. And yet, there's only 5 points difference.
I mean those opinions are moreso talking on an overall scale than purely a premier league one. I doubt people would be this wild over slot if it weren't for scoring 4 goals on leverkusen in one half, and same thing for City flopping if it weren't for losses against sporting in the champions league and spurs in the carabao cup(or was it fa cup idr)
Yes, City usually have a slump. But they usually don't have to go all season without Rodri. Add to that they have a quite aged starting XI with Walker, KDB, Gundogan, Kovacic etc. It might be that Pep have run its course at City. Same thing happened at Liverpool with Klopp in the end. We'll see if Liverpool can rotate and save players better more so there's anything left in the tanks towards the last 8 games. I think Slot's more controlling football is better suited for just that. But we'll see. Liverpool were top of the league at Christmas too. It doesn't mean anything at this stage.
Brighton in 12th! I wonder what they would have said if the video was predicting the PL again after 11 games. The seagulls dominated Liverpool until they fell apart at the end and they played City off the ground. If they don’t make top 6, I’ll be surprised.
I would say less than brighton fell more and more that Liverpool were rejuvenated with Slot's substitutes, I watched that game and I still felt a constant threat from brighton as a Liverpool fan so they definetly didn't fall off! Idunno about top 6 though, I'm predicting them barely missing out on europe as other sides like Aston Villa and Forest have been really suprising for me
FC Noah's manager said they weren't going to "park the bus" which was a joke since he and Mourinho are both Portuguese. They had to take a 55 hour bus ride to play that match and they went for it. UEFA should have paid there plane ticket. They make plenty of $ from the sport and keeps creating more and more games for more and more money.
@@paulquaife7974It really annoys me when somebody states something as an absolute fact when all it is is their own personal opinion. There is nothing on the planet that can prove which manager was better and sticking the word opinion into your opinion would make you look a lot less like a know it all. If you're a Liverpool fan just be grateful that these 2 great leaders of men have been our managers instead of turning it into a completely unnecessary competition that can never be proven anyway.
As a Chelsea fan Very disappointed you guys didn't mention us once and the improvement we've had and your expectations..Kudos to John for predicting 3rd.
Sorry but Chelsea are not finishing above City, Liverpool, Arsenal or Villa. In order to get top four you must replace one of them, and you are neither equal to nor better than any of them. You have a had a good start to the season by beating the teams you were meant to beat, but when faced with equal of better opposition you haven't even looked lucky. You are a 6th to 8th best place team currently.
Its curious to see the skepticism around Liverpool given how much more solid they clearly look defensively under Slot ; once they go into the lead in games they rarely look like conceding. They'd be definite favourite at this point for me.
Palace's drop off and Forest's start have been the biggest surprises for me. Followed by Arsenal/Brighton/Liverpool. Looking at West Ham's recruitment and managerial appointment this summer, it seemed obvious they would drop off given how drastic the transition would be.
3:38 worth mentioning too that as well as just being tall, Milenkovic had the best aerial win percentage of any player in Europe's top 5 leagues with more than 1000 minutes at CB last season (88%). Next best were Maguire (86%) and van Dijk (84%). So he's in good company. Data courtesy of HudlStatsbomb.
18:54 Andersen I think is a huge loss. Everyone talks about Olise, and while he's undoubtedly a massive player the sale of Anderson just seemed bizarre, especially selling to a direct rival who are now performing much better than expected.
Good show again lads. I'm a Forest fan. Whilst your analysis on Forest is sound I would offer that our improved possession stats (up 0.7% according to your data) is largely irrelevant. Look at Southampton as a comparator. Under Cloughie Forest were fantastic in defence. That model will always lead to success and that has been our main change so far this season.
Manchester United have been have been awful this season but to say they are lucky to be 13th is insane….horrendous luck against Brighton, horrible luck/refereeing vs West Ham and unlucky vs palace…it couldn’t have gone any worse…Bruno sent off vs spurs which was recinded
Yeah, I don't even think we've been that bad outside of the Liverpool and Spurs games (and we weren't even *that* bad against Liverpool tbh). And the daylight robbery of two points against West Ham. Those two points would put us ahead of Spurs and 2 points behind 3rd. 😂 "Abysmal"
I’d really appreciate if you guys could provide english subtitles. Non native speaker like me had a hard time trying to catch what you guys are saying and the CC is not that helping. Great analysis as always!
Lopetegui... How he got to manage a team in the premier league it stills blows my mind! just check his work at FC Porto and how he left the club.. I would never want him near my team ever
As a Liverpool fan Slot is getting all the luck Klopp didn't get, including the corrupt ref getting kicked out. Rodri getting injured was the game changer.
It makes sense. Statistically speaking, you can represent a dataset of millions with a sample size of just 100 - 200. Obviously, the higher the sample, the better the data, but that ratio still holds true. In PL terms, 26.3% of the dataset is already complete. So, statistically, 25% of a dataset is actually pretty reliable, especially when you factor in form from previous seasons.
They would need to be well into the end of May 2025 before they might consider the possibility that its worth assuming that there is a slight possibility of it might have happen.
I've only watched two videos from this particular podcast. And unfortunately some of the stuff this Jon says shows he hasn't got a clue, doesn't watch Liverpool games and just gets his information probably from talksport or ESPN . He hasn't got a clue and I would assume he supports a team that doesn't like Liverpool as well .
You know, 95 point (2.5 per match x 38 matches) usually only bring you into contention for maybe possibly, if things stack up right, to be in consideration of being close to maybe daring to say that there is a slight possibility of LFC being worth mentioning when talking about teams that could be at the top at the end of the season.
Think Newcastle are being underestimated and Man Utd/Tottenham overestimated here. Ange has been completely figured out and he's a very one dimensional manager. There's never any plan B with him. People are assuming things will get better at Man Utd under Amorim, but he's going to want them to play an entirely new system and I think they're going to struggle while they're adapting.

Insufferable. "They didn't beat Chelsea their first big big big challenge." Even if he meant Arsenal, that was an away game and neither did ManC beat Arsenal at home. What was the point again?
Have to say, Wolves seem like the Leicester of two years ago where they have the players that make you think "Yeh they can't get relegated" and then they do and a couple of players go to top clubs like Maddison did. They just seem doomed and O'Neil doesn't have any answers to their problems, which I hate to say because they do play good football most seasons
Man Utd jumping 13 to 6? Come off it. Also, Brighton has played phenomenal against a pretty balanced schedule so far. So how do you have them dropping so far? We have lost to Chelsea and Liverpool and that's it. That would be a monumental streak of losses for us to drop that far.
the amount of people that told me "you don't know ball" when I said Glasner and that overrated bang average Wharton weren't the world class talents people assumed they were. They both only stood out when last season was coming to a close. Pretty much every one of Palace's opponents already knew they were safe and had very little to play for, so the new manager bounce really took effect against opponents only putting 50 percent effort in. Same with wharton. Well done mate you stood out against a makeshift united midfield that had no chance of top 4 and were thinking more about the fa cup. He's hardly "a baller blood yo innit fam" for having a lot of the ball against a succession of opponent midfielders that didn't want to pick up an injury for the upcoming euros. Their true level has been visible this season. Glasner will be gone in a couple of weeks and Wharton will be watching Will Hughes from the bench (you know, that other superstar tipped for greatness when he left the championship for the Premier league)
Tbh I don't agree that United has been abysmal. Most clean sheets in the league and the defense has looked pretty solid (tied with Arsenal for 4th lowest goals against). The main problems have been the midfield sometimes getting overrun or making sloppy mistakes that lead to goals, and the entire frontline being unable to score a damn goal. If anything, they've been unlucky to be down in 13th. The only games that felt abysmal were the Spurs spanking and the Villa game where the clear objective was just not to lose. lol And let's not forget how a point was stolen by West Ham over that shambolic penalty. With that point back, they'd be joint 11th with the same points total as Spurs and 3 points behind Chelsea in 3rd. It's really not been that horrible despite being the worst start ever.
Neecastle are a converted Gordon penalty off 3rd place and yet they are put 8th and 9th in these predictions despite now being on the up and no European football. Madness
That's fine - just keep underestimating Newcastle. Every time they turn over a " big " team its how badly the defeated outfit played. Their form level that murdered PSG is back, with no European football mid week, players STILL to come back from injury ( Botman Lascelles and Trippier ) and potentially serious funds available in January, especially if the PSR farce is resolved in Man City's favour.

@@Eldriitchfor city to comeback from here it will be hard. If they make it to January within touching distance maybe they can save their title shot with a couple of signinings in the middle. That's if they make it.
I'm saying this because they look a lot like Liverpool 22/23. The usual star players just seem a tad slower and less sharp. It happens with age and maintaining a full 90 of pressing and staying on top of the opposition gets harder and harder every week.
united 7th brighton 12th is wild :p
I really love this podcast & the trio
I want Brighton content
'Boring,' Farage.
I haven’t watched the full thing- and already I can tell you there will be no praises for Liverpool. Jon’s biased against them is uncanny 😂😂
This weekends results made me laugh at his final prediction
that's not what uncanny means, but ok
His Leeds side always showing. Never change, Jon. Never change.
@@WOOOPdoctorFROGhereyour use of that word is uncanny, cause it’s incorrect. 😭
Bias, not biased. Biased is an adjective, but you've used it as a noun here, and bias is the noun form of the word.
This is the new Soccer AM
I hope that's sarcasm. Soccer AM was puerile blokey rubbish that never focused on actual football analysis. It was to football what top gear was to cars. Utter ladbible tosh. The soccer AM viewers wouldn't understand the level of analysis of these guys and would probably think it's too boring
It's a really interesting season so far. 3 points between Chelsea in 4th and Newcastle in 11th is a cray tight mid-table.
You could make it even wider. 4 points between 3rd and 13th. The table is so congested at the moment as everyone is losing to everyone. lol It's chaos and I kinda like it.
@@CoconutJewce Yeah, now. My comment was written before the Sunday games.
@@SaturnusDK Well-aware. lol Just goes to show how one week (or matchday) can make a massive difference in this table where everyone is losing to each other.
@@CoconutJewce Absolutely. I'm loving how vital every single game is for every club. It's the dream when you have a league where all but a few teams are competing for the top positions.
Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-1. It is Arsenal that they drew with.
JJ trying to save face for his predictions with an excellent Day Man shirt

Why are Brighton so low all of a sudden even though they have had a great start to the season?
Especially given our next 10 games are all very winnable.
@@jpah8944just saw their fixtures, I genuinely believe if Brighton put their head in it they can get 7 wins from it. Aston Villa may be a struggle though.
They honestly did really well vs the top teams.
@@jpah8944which means we will probs drop more points than we would playing top 6 ffs 😂
@@chadpashen348 haha as we always do mate!! We're nothing if not predictable when it comes to bottom of the table teams.
I would put Liverpool at the top, even though I'm not even a Liverpool fan myself
Completely agree!! Brighton have had one of the hardest fixture lists for the start of the season
Brighton will surely finish above Angeball and Newcastle this year, comfortably, and would be a shout for top 4 but I can’t see Arsenal and Chelsea dropping out of there.
So much Brighton disrespect on this channel
1:25 - Nottingham Forest's overperfomance has been insane
They're all just working hard, it's not over performing. This is the standard nuno requires from all his players or they are benched
Having watched a couple of Southampton games, though…I’d be devastated if Liverpool managed to lose that, eye on Madrid or not 😂
John MacKenzie with Numbers 😆 🤣 😂 Always bringing what we don't notice... Great Job! 💯
YNWA. Thanks for not jinxing.
Klopp was a 21st century Shankly
I’m still dreaming that Slot is our 21st century Paisley
Jinxed
and the trophies will flow like water
Klopp was nowhere near Shankly's level

That's what I've noticed too. They only seem to mention Chelsea when we're bad or having a crisis. Same with Tifo and same here with the Athletic.
@@VethoRinga yea they only like Negativity about Chelsea
@@justsean09 you know nothing
@@Royalgreatnessmedia I know a better team when I see one. Chelsea are already looking like the wheels are coming off.
Fair game analysis, bad predictions. Good luck sorting out Rodri's replacement, winding back De Bruyne's age, and poor recruitment.
Its curious to see the skepticism around Liverpool given how much more solid they clearly look defensively under Slot ; once they go into the lead in games they rarely look like conceding. They'd be definite favourite at this point for me.
The dry humour on these is so good
Palace's drop off and Forest's start have been the biggest surprises for me.

The boys! Mark Carey stuck in the data too, sheeesh
Looking forward to the matchweek 37 predictions
So nothing really outrageous then. I'll see you in round 20. Cheers.
I don't know if it is stated enough what a great presenter Joe Devine is.
1:26 - 😂 At least Joe has a few which are in the correct positions, but for JJ it's 0
Also played pretty well until the Liverpool game. I agree it was a poor take
Yeah, I don't even think we've been that bad outside of the Liverpool and Spurs games (and we weren't even *that* bad against Liverpool tbh). And the daylight robbery of two points against West Ham. Those two points would put us ahead of Spurs and 2 points behind 3rd. 😂 "Abysmal"
They've got mid table midfielders, bottom 6 defenders and bottom 4 attackers
@@AndewLLLwhat has that
Got to do with how lucky they have been.
I’d really appreciate if you guys could provide english subtitles. Non native speaker like me had a hard time trying to catch what you guys are saying and the CC is not that helping. Great analysis as always!
Oh boy, they all seem very reluctant to consider Liverpool as realistic challengers
gonna need to hear why JJ has dropped Brighton a place, surely they've been better than expected
Keep waiting for guadola to solve his problem rather than acknowledge Slot Liverpool success 😅😂😊
Interesting.
I think Liverpool finishes 10-12 points clear at the top of the table.
After todays match isn’t it time to switch L’pool and City around
They would need to be well into the end of May 2025 before they might consider the possibility that its worth assuming that there is a slight possibility of it might have happen.

'I'm just not sure that Liverpool are as consistent as their results have been' - 33:55. The results were achieving themselves?
I've only watched two videos from this particular podcast. And unfortunately some of the stuff this Jon says shows he hasn't got a clue, doesn't watch Liverpool games and just gets his information probably from talksport or ESPN . He hasn't got a clue and I would assume he supports a team that doesn't like Liverpool as well .
'If Liverpool continue with this momentum for the rest of the season, they'll be title contenders'
Don't get carried away lads!

We've been there before. Top of the league then City go on a 14 game winning streak. Actually just happened last year.
The hate for liverpool is crazy .... not as consistent as their results every metric there absolutely consistent hahaha it's madness the amount of hate that baldy clown he's been doing this for years

I do feel like these there (and previousiterations helmed by Joe Devine) do have a pretty unique chemistry. If the concern was not having enough to say i wonder if a reduced release schedule would have worked.
do a video on the serie a title race. top 6 all within 2 points, the tightest its been at this stage since the introduction of 3 points for a win in the league
This is the only media outlet that has said United aren't MASSIVELY underperforming thei xG AND it's the only outlet to not show the data....
Do this after every 10 games
I have a good feeling about Amorin going to United. He beats City handsomely and even had some words for United after the game! He's not left Lisbon yet, but he's already giving United team talks!
Heard the same thing about every United manager the last 12 years ..

Insufferable. "They didn't beat Chelsea their first big big big challenge." Even if he meant Arsenal, that was an away game and neither did ManC beat Arsenal at home. What was the point again?
Bruh Wan Bissaka's roast video is amazing
Have to say, Wolves seem like the Leicester of two years ago where they have the players that make you think "Yeh they can't get relegated" and then they do and a couple of players go to top clubs like Maddison did. They just seem doomed and O'Neil doesn't have any answers to their problems, which I hate to say because they do play good football most seasons
I like the thumbnail click-bait. They certainly forgot to Slot someone in. YNWA or You’ll Never Slot Alone😂
Joe Devine - Top man
Man Utd jumping 13 to 6? Come off it. Also, Brighton has played phenomenal against a pretty balanced schedule so far. So how do you have them dropping so far? We have lost to Chelsea and Liverpool and that's it. That would be a monumental streak of losses for us to drop that far.
All 3 waffling about a missing video, yèt all 3 didn't even pick up on the Liverpool didnt beat Chelsea. Real pros 😂
Newcastle are coming for that top 4 spot and I don’t think anyone can stop up us now

Some wonderful hair in that thumbail. And Nuno too.
McKenzie why u hate liverpool? 😢
He’s a sad little Leeds fan. And that point of view permeates all of his supposed analysis. It’s quite amateurish.
the amount of people that told me "you don't know ball" when I said Glasner and that overrated bang average Wharton weren't the world class talents people assumed they were.
Incredible editing to focus on The Big Reaction Faces from... whatshisname, the main one
It's really not been that horrible despite being the worst start ever.
not to mention utd could've won against brighton or even drawn with them

That's fine - just keep underestimating Newcastle. Every time they turn over a " big " team its how badly the defeated outfit played. Their form level that murdered PSG is back, with no European football mid week, players STILL to come back from injury ( Botman Lascelles and Trippier ) and potentially serious funds available in January, especially if the PSR farce is resolved in Man City's favour.
That filling waiting for City to loose their games but still ending up winning those matches is what is happening to Liverpool Hater's 😂😊
