West Indies NEVER made it to the final of the World Cup ever again .... and that was not an aberration but a norm.
Whereas India made it to the semi finals of the WC as many as six times thereafter , finals twice and were champions once again.
West Indies made it to the semis only once after 1983 and have never been to the final. This is no aberration.
Immediately after the si called revenge series India won the World Series Championship in Australia and West Indies could not even make it to the final of that competition.
This is the reality of West Indies Cricket that nobody talks about.
