I found this channel from heavenly delusion, I checked the playlist and you have CYBPUNK, PARASITE, INVINCIBLE, what else can I ask for… I’ll look for evangelion and cowboy bebop but I doubt it :( they are too popular
@@dediualex3554 It was unpolished, but story is great and gameplay is decent so it couldn't be shit no matter what state it was in. It was a buggy mess, but otherwise-it was a great game.
The combination of under-delivering on things it promised and a near unplayable amount of bugs left a bad impression for many, especially players who got in early.
Oh god the comment section is already turning into a sub vs dub war with both sides already waving their flags. Both options are pretty damn solid here, like most of the time, so stop being petty about it. -- I prefer the Japanese dub tbh tho haha
I'm still gonna watch the vids to support the boys but I wish they'd given both sub and dub a chance before making a decision. I understand the sentiment of "the game is in english so the anime should be in english" and I'll admit It's nice to hear the future slang but my problem with that argument is the voice acting here sounds nothing like 2077 😅. The Edgerunners dub has the same cartoonish overacting you'd expect from most dubbed anime and I know a lot of people prefer that and that's fine I won't talk down to anyone for harmlessly enjoying a show, but seeing people use the game as a talking point in these sub vs dub debates when the two are like night and day is just weird. It's okay to prefer dubbed anime you don't have to justify it to anyone but you can choose to enjoy the dub while still acknowledging the vocal performances are total opposites
@@AlexanderArtsThere are definitely some good performances in the dub and I love hearing them say choom but other than that the game and anime sound totally different in english
The official subs suck really bad though. Tons of errors, it’s like the translators had never looked at any of the source material. Plus it just is weird to hear the Japanese VA’s just speak totally normal Japanese in this fucked-up Californian dystopia. They could’ve at least tried to adapt some of the slang, but they went with the most banal and basic translations. Also Rebecca’s English VA does a waaaay better job imo.
Well, to each their own, but Edgerunners was one of the rare cases in anime in which I preferred the dubbed version. It doesn't feel like the voice acting in 2077, but it still feels 10x more natural than hearing the characters speaking japanese.
@@danielbueno8474 I will give credit where credit is do and I like the Edgerunners dub a lot more than some other modern dubs but personally I still think the sub is a cut above the rest not just against dubs I think it's a good sub in general, but as long as more people get to enjoy the show then it doesnt really matter which you prefer
@@fugosfork7907 all about preferences I guess. Personally I couldn't stand how jp voices seemed to be mismatched to characters, not to mention the slang terms feeling just wrong.

While 2077 is absolutely a pile of half realized potential, I maintain that as a single player cyberpunk story it's still pretty damn good. Also the sad irony of Edgerunner's being a one and done is that it actually has the perfect set up within the framework of Nightcity for a multi season show.
LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I found this channel from heavenly delusion, I checked the playlist and you have CYBPUNK, PARASITE, INVINCIBLE, what else can I ask for… I’ll look for evangelion and cowboy bebop but I doubt it :( they are too popular
Oh man, here we go again, choom.
Game was amazing, what are they talking about?
at launch game was dogshit
@@dediualex3554 It was unpolished, but story is great and gameplay is decent so it couldn't be shit no matter what state it was in. It was a buggy mess, but otherwise-it was a great game.
True
The combination of under-delivering on things it promised and a near unplayable amount of bugs left a bad impression for many, especially players who got in early.
No, subtitles! He said "MMA freeware, not anime freeware!"
Oh, boy...
OMGGG LEZ GOOOOO JACOB CALEB AHABWHAHAHAU
Oh god the comment section is already turning into a sub vs dub war with both sides already waving their flags. Both options are pretty damn solid here, like most of the time, so stop being petty about it.

I prefer the Japanese dub tbh tho haha
Lol it soo good it made a bunch of people play the game.
I agree, the English VO is a lot more corny than the game's VA and the Japanese VA feels more on point, though they don't use any of the slang.
@@danielbueno8474 I will give credit where credit is do and I like the Edgerunners dub a lot more than some other modern dubs but personally I still think the sub is a cut above the rest not just against dubs I think it's a good sub in general, but as long as more people get to enjoy the show then it doesnt really matter which you prefer
the game is great now just fyi
It was great back then too. As long as you didnt play on old consoles. I played on pc and only had like 2 small bugs.
20:40
Let's go!!! The Dub is the best way to watch this show!
I disagree, I watched a few episodes in dub first but just had to switch to sub after hearing both
@@fugosfork7907 all about preferences I guess. Personally I couldn't stand how jp voices seemed to be mismatched to characters, not to mention the slang terms feeling just wrong.
@@pyron4913 i definitely dont think the jp voices are mismatched, I'd even say they're a better fit. The slang terms are really cringe to me so i didnt mind them being left out for most part. It is preference for most part though so yeah
@@fugosfork7907 Honestly fair enough. Weirdly enough it seems like the biggest dealbreaker for people for both is just choosing getting imersed in the series itself (jp) or the world (eng) which at least isn't a bad problem to have.
@@pyron4913 that's an interesting point. It's not like i think the english dub is shit or anything, i just strongly prefer the japanese one. My brother watched the show in both and he didn't mind either
it's sandevistan time

NICE
This whole anime was a beautiful piece of art
I'm glad I never played the game, I don't want to associate the characters In this with anyone from the game
Your loss I guess ?
@@Tacticaviator7 my loss? Lmao the game is trash and that's a majority opinion.
@@アキコ2003 it had problems, but it wasn't trash

Great animation, but by the end it feel pretty pointless. I could see it coming from a mile away.
A mess, but a pretty mess.
