(not only the movie) and this show was her fantastic directorial debut that sparked the gradual growth of her style in order to eventually direct A Silent Voice and Liz and the blue bird!

I mean it is really not that good. The music is fantastic and it's very cute and stuff but the story doesn't really go anywhere, the jokes repeat themselves all the time and the characters are so cliché.

It’s amazing that the SOS Bros is getting around to one of the first few modern classic anime. K-ON is a milestone one can pinpoint as the foreshadowing for the moe boom. I can’t wait to rewatch the series with the bros getting so attached to the light music club’s hijinks of drinking tea and eating cake.
Its a bit of more dumber reason they where thinking she's great because there is a famous vocal/guitarist named Hirasawa Susumu, so its like her name was Yui Hendricks and they where like, "wow you must be great at guitars."
K-On is really fun. Just expect a vibey and chill show and you'll have fun with this one. People who've been disappointed in this show come into it expecting something else. So just enjoy it as it is and you'll have a good time with it.

Oh damn K-on! I was in tokyo to watch a new 4piece all girls band called NEK!. Check them out! They had a really strong Kessoku Band vibe to them, their vocalist/guitar player reminded me a lot of Bocchi and Yui
Also to notice, the song they are performing, by hear of how it goes, seems to be the school Himn and that would make sense and be pretty common for a starters to play, the 3 girls should know it this far and can improvise to play it even whit little practice
