Thanks for the levelling hack. Really useful.
I didn't think you were veggie. How come? I can definitely remember you cooking some lovely meat dishes in earlier videos eg chicken, fish, steaks. It was your cooking and tips that improved my outdoor cooking skills. Now I feel that I could cook anything outdoors. Sad that you are not going to be doing those lovely meals any more. Sorry, but they were probably a lot healthier than pasta, imitation meat, sauce out of a jar and tortillas which are all processed foods.

I have been a veggie for just over three years. I had digestion and bowl problems for years. I cut out different foods for ages but i didn't feel any better until i cut out dairy and meat. I fell so much better now i have gotten used to being a veggie and have lost weight in the process.

@@PaulBissekerBushcraft @PaulBissekerBushcraft Oh right ok. Glad you have found a better diet that suits you. Yes you do seem to have lost a bit of weight but it didn't feel right to comment on it although since you have, well done.
Strange as I was a vegetarian for almost 11 years in my 30s + 40's. Gave it up in the end asI just felt constantly run down with little energy. Got a lot of recurring injuries as well. I do a lot of running and cycling. Must be about 10-12 years ago I started eating meat again and it took me about 4-5 years to regain full strength and fitness. Now I feel like I am 16 years old again.
Then last 3 years ago I got on the low carb, intermittent fasting Ketogenic diet wagon and I have never looked back. Wish I had realised it years ago. I have never been over weight but have dropped about 5-6kg. I now have lots of energy, no more brain fog or lethargy, back to being really lean and strong. I eat meat, not the intensively produced stuff, full of chemicals and water, but best quality I can find preferably organic pasture raised. Also free range organic eggs, oily fish, lots of leafy green non starchy veg, broccoli, sprouts, salads, pumpkin seeds, nuts, beetroot, avocados, garlic, etc. Much like a mediterranean diet minus the carbs ie no pasta, no wheat, no gluten.
I cook from fresh every meal using whole foods. I seldom eat anything with an ingredients list out of a jar or packet because processed foods contain nasties preservatives, additives, chemicals, sugars, stabilisers. I have to say I feel fantastic. No longer get hunger cravings basically for sugar or carbs because I eat meat and healthy fats eg organic EVOO, avocados, eggs which are great satiety foods. Don't eat porridge any more which is just carbs which will massively spike blood sugar and raise insulin leading to insulin resistance, but then a few hours later you have a massive blood sugar crash meaning you want more sugar or carbs.
I eat OMAD one meal a day and fast 24-48 hours every other week now. Used to do it every week from last meal sunday to tuesday evening if feeling good. Still drink tea with no sugar during the fast but come the end of it have a nice salad, sardines, mushroom omelette. If ever I do feel the need for carbs I eat a few new potatoes cooked in the microwave or boiled put them in a salad or just eat with meat and veg, but usually no spuds, definitely no pizzas or take aways, nothing like that any more and no alcohol.
I also do high intensity interval training several times each week, but you can just get away with doing a fair amount of walking tbh.
      Life is good.
There are some good YT channels if you are interested. Just search them. They all have a huge following and been going a long time. They all promote a low carb diet.
      Dr Eric Berg
      Dr Sten Ekberg
      Dr Jason Fung
      Rowan Row
      Zuska Light
Anyway glad that you have found what works for you. I was just curious. Just be mindful of carbs and sugar on a vegetarian diet and that you are getting enough high quality protein. I found it very hard.
I think the key is to cook fresh whole foods from scratch and try to avoid processed foods which contain added sugar and starch which is quickly broken down to sugar, which is quite literally a killer as it is addictive which the food industry wants!
      ATB.

Hi Paul, glad to see you uploading again. Years ago I bought a trangia 27 after watching your videos. I take it with me hunting, fishing, and trail walking. The year before last I took it out on the last day deer rifle season when it was 15 degrees Fahrenheit, and a foot of snow on the ground I tell you what, that stove was awesome once I got it lit, hot Brew and food. Thank you for all your videos, have a good one!

Hi Paul. Aldi here use to sell a tortellini pesto salad. I wish they would bring it back. It was delicious. I'll bet that pasta you bought would make an awesome salad too. That balancing app is so cool!!! Funny, when my aunt taught me how to iron she told me I wouldn't be good at ironing until after I got burned. I'm dieting, and I'm hungry. Good thing I have a bit of coffee in my cup. Glad to see you're enjoying the outdoors!!!

Great Trangia cooking Paul but I have to say people please be careful using a trangia on a picnic table. I’ve seen at least 2 people end up with seriously boiled balls and legs when they’ve spilled stuff.

Have the pan rangers never complained about you having a cook out at natural trust site? I know the flame on this thing is concealed so less obvious, which helps. Also thanks for pointing out the Kelly Kettle cups, I’m looking to get 4 cups and 4 plates but pricy but look solid. You tried the plates?
