Hi! This smoothie was the start to my diet to fight cancer. I was only stage one of a non aggressive cancer, thankfully! Once diagnosed, I began paying more attention to what I was eating and how I managed my diet and overall health. These smoothies helped me recover from my surgery and have a new beginning. 3 things I love about this: 1) The timer. No guess-work and very simple! 2) You can place everything inside all at once. Not piecemeal. 3) And finally, the durability. It just looks and sounds solid. Thank you for the opportunity.

Thank you so much! Yes, this Beginner's Luck is delicious. This is particularly great for someone who is just starting to drink green smoothies because it has a pleasant taste, not too sweet and just the right combination and the right choices of veggies and fruit, so a "beginner" is more likely to enjoy green smoothies., because it's so tasty. I sometimes replace mango for pineapple.

This is very small, but I love how you added little tips to help with the smoothie making: like the suggestions for people who don't like bananas (either substituting the banana for avocado or even just cutting down on the banana) and what it does for the recipe (makes it creamier) and also how you can add all ingredients if you have a high powered blender. Those small tips helped!

I love this recipe...I tried it many years ago answered used a Magic Bullet at the time. The tip of blending the liquid with the greens was extremely helpful with the magic bullet and the nutribullet. I look forward to the day I have a high powered blender so I can dump and blend all ingredients at once. Thanks for sharing this in video form. I'm a visual learner and watchimg this in action takes out any guesswork!

You are very natural in front of the camera! You are able to get across the basics of making this smoothie in a short period of time. Timing is so important in doing something like this. You offered many easy and quick tips, especially for those just starting making delicious smoothies! I would have added that freezing bananas also helps in thickening the smoothie and making it extra cold which I really like! Great job Jen!

Jen, I loved the video! I especially like that you have a bowl of fruit on the counter from which you effortlessly grab a substitute for bananas and that you used your glass to measure the water. Such great little time saving tips! I have had "Beginner's Luck" many times and, of course, I love it!

The Beginner's Luck Smoothie is what got me into green smoothies over 2 years ago! I forgot how much I love it and I'm off to make one for myself now. I love that this Vitamix has a smoothie function. Takes care of the guess work! My favorite part is that you showed your family and how they are a part of this. I'd love to get mine into it too!

We have beginner's luck at least twice a week in our house. It's also the one I make when I introduce new people to the wonderful benefits of having a green smoothie every day. I would love to see more videos. Simple plant based dinners or lunches to take to work would be great! Thanks for showing us how easy and yummy it is to add healthy foods to our daily lives.

Loved the fact that you used water. Out of pure habit, I always add a nut milk to mine. It makes it creamy, but it looks like with the extra banana, water would do just fine in its place. Great tip to blend the greens and water/ liquid before adding other ingredients. I find that with my blender, this is typically necessary to avoid the greens-clumps!
