After YEARS of frustrated editing and numerous emails and calls over to the folks at MAGIX, this is the solution to my problem. Thank You! I'm finally able to use the software again.
Glad I got a RUclipsr to rely on Vegas Pro fixes. You help me out a lot with understanding Vegas Pro and I appreciate it cause now I'm able to make really good videos for my channel.
I love you dude i’ve been trying to fix this for like an hour now and its midnight and i couldn’t render my school work. You’re a life saver dude thanks so much 🙏🏻
Absolute lifesaver! I used to have consistent crashed that occurred around every 5-10 mins but thanks to YOU, I haven't had to worry anymore! Thank you so much man!
i don't comment on videos often but i just had to drop 1 here, i have been trying to render my video for literally 2 hours well into 3 am & this fix actually worked and exploded my mind. Tytytyty 😄
I have been using Sony Vegas Pro since version 8 and now Magix Vegas Pro 17 and this is the first time I've ever heard of the Internal switch. Thank you so much.
Dude... Thank you so much... Im editing the first episode of my Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough and was editing a 40 minutes video when I imported another video and Vegas 17 would show a black preview screen and kept crashing... I researched and tried things for hours before seeing your video as the last one before giving up.. This fixed the black preview screen and crashing... thank you so much. Liking and subbing is the least I can do. Once again, thank you thank you thank you thank you
UMM THANK YOU LIKE A MILLION TIMES FOR THIS! I almost switched to another editor after 3 years for having the same issue with every upgrade and NO ONE else shared this!
WOW, IT REALLY WORKED FOR ME! I isolated the problem and it was with this "so4 compound reader" thing. But it was not only preventing my videos from rendering, but also slowed down the preview while editing my videos. Now I can watch my heavily edited videos in the preview window without crashing or dropping/skipping frames, and also my rendering time was up to 5x faster! I was trying to render this video and it got stuck every time after about ~2 hours, and after disabling the so4 compound I rendered my entire video in half an hour. THANKS A LOT!!!!
Thanks for this video! Vegas 17 kept crashing every time I tried to open a .veg file - thought I was going to have to start over but this fix got it working again!
What a life saver! I've been putting so much effort into trying to fix this issue and this was what finally worked! I have Vegas Pro 15 and this worked for me!
Life savior! I thought that I needed to start everything from scratch in a different program as vegas was crashing at random percentage while rendering. So simple yet effective! THANK YOU!
This tip IS good!, But, please, on this one, explain why someone may not want to do this, (10 bit) BEFORE you have a million people obeying your every word, and changing it. (Like me! LOL!) Because later, if it needs to be changed back....nobody writes down this info to remind themselves how to do this, and it's gonna be a huge pain to change back. Most of us just open up Vegas on one monitor, and follow along changing things as you speak. Also, keep in mind, most Vegas Pro users, probably will use, or eventually use 10 bit vid! Vegas Pro, is professional. Vegas Movie Studio Platinum users, usually move up to Vegas Pro, when they discover there are limitations to VMS. Your tutorials are appreciated!
@@Dominatycus Yes - all you do is hold down the shift key while you select the Options menu at the top. When the dropdown menu next appears, you will see "Internal" directly underneath the Preferences option WHILE YOU ARE STILL IN THE DROPDOWN. Internal options won't appear in the Preferences menu along with everything else anymore. It's separate now. Hope that helps :)
Damn, I watched another video and it needed to do many times other things before rendering and on top of that it didn't work. This works gooooood and it's only one step and settings stay saved. Thanks a lot bro!
The only question, what if the 10-bit video isn't from an iPhone or even recorded and from a torrent of any kind, would that still be imported or would Vegas have a hard time reading it???
@@ScrapyardFilms So if I want to edit a 10-bit .mkv file, then I have to turn that option shown in this video to TRUE? And when I am done with the editing, I can turn it back to false?

Wow! Thanks. It worked.
I just changed this setting. Hope it works! If so, THANKS! I am used to saving in Vegas after every little thing I do because it freezes up so much.

The autosave is almost useless. The project loads up at the area where you start with no layers ffs
bro crashing isn't my problem my problem is whenever i use a plugin on my clip it says not responding and the option there is only to close the app

thx bro, that did the trick!!!
Went from crashing 3 times in 8 minutes to not crashing in the 10 hours of editing since then, in Vegas Pro 15. Awesome video!

Your video solved even more problems with my Vegas 17 installation. Thank you very much!
