If you pass from natural causes, they don't work, and as previously stated, if he passed away, they don't work. All the same, may he rest in peace. He did what he loved, and I hope that he knows that he was surrounded by everyone that loved him and his work.

Thank you for your passion. This video put me to tears.
In france we had the chance to import japanese anime in the aerly 80's. I was 5 in 1990, when Dragon ball aired for the first time on TF1, one of the most watched tv channel of that time.
Millions of young french boys became instantly hooked to Dragon ball and Dragon ball Z soon after, as well as many others mangas as it was all the rage to intertain kids back then.
Things haven't changed all that much today, France is the biggest manga consumer after Japan, and Dragon ball made it happen.
I can fairly say that Toriyama was like a father to many of us, as his stories impacted us growing up like nothing else.
Goodbye Toriyama Sensei, the magic of the Dragon Balls will shine in our heart for all eternity.

This is so depressing. He was so young too. Why are so many manga artist and game developers in Japan passing away in their early 50s or 60s. The guy who made Berserk and the creator of Phantasy Star also passed away really early. The same for the creator of the anime Lain.

I started rewatching the series for the first tume since at least the 90's literally the day before he passed.
Can't believe it took me so long, the show is still incredible and holds up better than most.
Really sad to see Akira go.

Now THIS is a proper tribute!!!
My very first experience of dragon ball was Tree of Might at 5 in the morning at my cousin's house lol. I woke up to a badass song playing, it was rock the dragon 🐉🐉🐉🐉
RIP Akira Toriyama, thank you for everything

Dragon Ball Z was my childhood. As a kid, Goku was my role model. Its influence made me the person I am today. It inspired me to push myself, be friendly and kind, to never give up, and overtime even helped me to better be intune with my own energy. The loss of Akira Toriyama is a big deal. During this time, I find myself wondering and hoping he was not tied into all this Epstine Island related mess (there was more than 1 island - if you know, you know). Its a shame the world has come to this, and I cant simply morn the loss of a great artist without asking myself these questions.

Never saw the show, didn't know who he was, but I'm tearing up at the outpouring of emotion here. Didn't realize just how deep the love of manga and anime runs in this country. I wish I had DBZ when I was growing up.

Akira Toriyama was to manga what Stan Lee was to comics. An absolute legend. The world has lost one of the greatest creative minds of all time but his legacy lives forever.

Akira Toriyama was such a legend, he didn't need the dragon balls to achieve immortality!
He did it through his work.
Rest in peace, Toriyama-sensei! Thank you for everything!
