      PTSD.
Left to rot in a civilian world he doesn't fit into anymore.
      THAT IS LORE!!!
From there he gets his life back and while helping other vets heal he helps a superhero heal AND BECOMES A HERO HIMSELF.
And then they rip it all off him and make him a second rate clone of someone else.

That would have been the plot for what I would have done for a Falcon film. Where new super soldiers are appearing as mercenaries and Wilson investigates, discovering that someone had manages to recreate the formula of Abraham Erskine. In order to stop the new super soldiers, Wilson takes the formula and takes down the person responsible, along with help from Bucky and Hawkeye. By the end, Nick Fury recruits the three to join his new organization and to become official members of the new Avengers, which would lead up to a new Avengers movie (probably Secret Invasion or something else).
But that's living in a perfect world.

I feel bad for Mackie with all of this. He has to know it’s just Disney marvel clinging to the message as hard as they can still. And it feels insulting the way a lot of the promotions and such talk about him and his character. A lot of verbiage and weight being thrown into this “oh he’s so much more than he ever was before” type language just feels like another round of the racists pretending to be inclusive letting the subtlety completely slip. Falcon was a great hero on his own, without needing the mantle or justification to exist with larping as the Captain. The whole thing just feels pathetic and gross from the Disney side.

If there's one real problem is we never saw Sam act as a leader in any previous MCU movies. He was always following Steve. At least the comics had decades of history with the character and a very long time connection to Steve before making him Captain America. Still didn't work.
One thing I noticed that's a big difference between most "hero replacement" stories of the past and the more recent ones is the message. If you look at Death of Superman, Knightfall, or the Cap gets fired arcs, they were done to show that slapping a costume and label on someone doesn't mean they have what it takes to be Superman, Batman, or Captain America. They can still become valuable heroes in some cases, but taking these iconic roles requires certain personality traits. Conversely, today they're treated like soldier uniforms. One dies, draft another one from wherever.

Quoting your ancient Assyrian ancestors is also a big FU here, given Gilgamesh was king of Ur, a Sumerian city. Sumerians were not Assyrians, different people and different languages that were not related. The Semite people were the northern neighbors to the Sumerian people. If you are from that region, you may have Sumerian ancestors as well, but the myth doesn’t originate from Assyrians.

The trouble with these interconntected movie series and TV shows that, to make the audience care about this franchise you need to address the things that happen within that series, which currently they do address some but ignore really major events that really need to be addressed. This started at th end of phase 3 with the blip with so many questions unanswered and has got steadly worse from there, with every movie wanting their moment of increasing world altering spectacle, then that is ignored in the next movie or TV series.
Disney oversturated the superhero genre and has effectively killed it making it non profitable. Disney are popularity vampires, taking a popular franchise and sucking it dry for profit and then animating the dead corpse to try make more money.

Why Steve chose Sam as his successor NOT Bucky:
    (1) ... Bucky's Emotional Baggage:
Bucky's experiences as the Winter Soldier and his subsequent struggles with PTSD make it challenging for him to take on the responsibility of being Captain America. The weight of his past actions and the guilt he carries would be a heavy burden. Steve Rogers did want that on him and also it does NOT set him as "ready" to be the symbol for an entire nation and the world.
    (2).... Lack of symbolic Morality:
Although Bucky has made significant progress in redeeming himself, he still struggles with the moral implications of his past actions as the Winter Soldier. Captain America's mantle requires a strong moral compass, which Steve Rogers embodied and Steve saw that more in Sam.
    (3) ... Steve familiarity to Sam's Volunteer manner:
In Captain America 1:The First Avenger (2011), Bucky Barnes was actually AGAINST Steve Rogers joining the army. When Steve expressed his desire to enlist, Bucky tried to dissuade him, citing concerns about Steve's physical limitations and the dangers of war but Steve still volunteered to join the army even after knowing how much of a weakling he was (before the serum). And even when he was chosen, he was told the experiment might NOT be successful but Steve still VOLUNTEERED to proceed.
Dr. Abraham Erskine warns Steve Rogers (Captain America: The First Avenger, 2011).... "We've had... problems with the serum. Unstable results. One subject grew too aggressive. Another... didn't survive."
Sam Wilson is the FIRST person who is NOT connected or affiliated to SHIELD or any of the superheroes in any way to VOLUNTEER his help into active missions with Captain America and the Avengers. I repeat Sam VOLUNTEERED (Captain America 2: Winter Soldier movie 2014). Sam was NOT recruited like Nick Fury did to Tony Stark/ Ironman and he was not given command order like Nick Fury did to Black Widow for her to spy on Ironman/ Tony. Sam put his life on the line LITERALLY several times just to aid Steve.
Dialogue between Steve and Sam (Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)....
Sam Wilson: "You need help, Cap?"
    Steve Rogers: "I'm not asking."
Sam Wilson: "Didn't think you were. When do we start?"
Sam VOLUNTEERED the same way Steve did to join the super serum experiments and when Steve volunteered to join the army AGAINST Bucky's advise and when Steve Volunteered to save Allied forces POWs in Captain America 1 movie 2011.
(4)... Dialogue: Dr.Abraham Erkine to Steve Rogers (Captain America 1: First Avenger, 2011).
Dr.Abraham Erskine= "Yeah, but... there were other... effects. The serum was not ready. But MORE IMPORTANT, THE MAN. The serum amplifies everything that is inside, so good becomes great; bad becomes worse. This is why you were CHOSEN. Because the strong man who has known power all his life, may lose respect for that power, but a weak man knows the value of strength, and knows... COMPASSION."
Dr.Abraham Erskine= "Whatever happens tomorrow, you must promise me one thing. THAT YOU WILL STAY WHO YOU ARE, NOT A PERFECT SOLDIER BUT A GOOD MAN."
👆This is the criteria Abraham Erskine (creator of the serum) set as the foundation for a Captain America when he CHOSE Steve Rogers by saying being a good man is "MORE IMPORTANT" than being a "Perfect soldier" (super strength, speed, etc like Bucky) whereby the serum only amplifies the good or bad in a person but it (the serum) is not the foundational requirement that defines who or what Captain America is and should be "A GOOD MAN" first and always. Basically an unshakable moral compass, pro-ethics and champion of optimism seeking to see the good in others first over how hard he can punch or how fast he can run.
In the source material/ comics, Sam became Captain America in 2014 (TEN YEARS AGO) and is still Captain America today.
(5)... Steve familiarity to Sam's bravery:
Sam has shown bravery and resilience willing to engage physically stronger opponents like against mind tranced Bucky in CA2: Winnter Soldier movie AND in FATW tv series against terrorists who juiced up on super soldier serum AND will also face off against Red Hulk in upcoming CA4: Brave New World. The same heroic fearlessness Steve Rogers always had even BEFORE he became Captain America.... Remember the scene when scrawny tiny Steve was being attacked by multiple bigger stronger bullies in CA1 when he said "I can do this all day." line when he had no super soldier serum enhancement?
Steve recognizes THAT in Sam. That courage to face off against greater opposition without any extra powers or abilities just like when Steve was still a smaller weakling (before the serum enhancement) but he never cowered against far bigger stronger bullies.
Evidently, Sam focused his time, efforts and skills to doing good even in war he trained to RESCUE. Steve took an instant liking to Sam from the moment they met and that was BEFORE he even knew any details about Sam. Steve's instincts were right.
    (6)... Public Perception of Bucky:
The world's perception of Bucky Barnes is still complex, given his past as the Winter Soldier. It would be challenging for him to gain the same level of trust and admiration as Steve Rogers, who was widely respected and admired. Sam Wilson does NOT have this problem.
    (7) ... Different Values at the time of choosing:
When Steve Rogers was making his choice, Bucky's values and motivations are different from Steve Rogers. While Steve was driven by a strong sense of optimism, ethics, honor, and morality, Bucky's head was guided by a desire for redemption and personal justice and frankly the brainwash coding was not yet removed in Avengers Endgame so Steve knew Bucky was NOT ready to be the next Captain America making Sam the default logical choice.
The removal of Bucky's brainwash coding occurred AFTER Avengers Endgame in Wakanda as shown in Falcon and Winter Soldier tv series (2021).
(8).... Steve familiarity to Sam regarding military RESCUES:
8a) ... Steve Rogers performed several military rescues saving soldiers and hostages during WW2.
Sam was an U.S military paraRESCUEmen unit (this is a real military division). This unit is also known as "Guardian Angels" in American military (yes, this is for REAL) who are the combat forces specifically organized, trained and equipped to conduct full spectrum conventional and unconventional combat RESCUE operations across during all phases of joint, coalition, and combined operations. as well as helping allies in all terrain including severely hostile situations. Basically a specializes unit performing rescues.
This is more heroic and closer to Rogers experience than being a trained assassin like Bucky even though it was not Bucky's intention.
8b) ... Additionally, the U.S military pararescue unit was created during WW2 which is the same time Rogers became Captain America.
8c)... It's also crazy amazing that the American military pararescue division are called "Guardian Angels" and Sam Wilson is literary a military pararesuemen aka a "Guardian Angel" who is now Captain America.... A Guardian Angel Captain America is awesome AF in my humble opinion.
In FATW ep1(Falcon and Winter Soldier tv series, episode One), we see Sam doing a military pararescue mission to rescue and extract a hostage.

1:25 Yeah, that's what I thought I saw from some of the background graphics on these trailers. But it just doesn't jibe with the adamantium of the comics, so it didn't/doesn't make sense. The thing about adamantium is that it is just flat-out immutable once you combine the resins and it forms up. If now in the MCU you can just hack bits off of a dead Celestial and, I guess, re-form it for other uses, what makes it better than the MCU version of vibranium, which again in the comics wasn't super-duper tough but could absorb and re-direct vibrational energy.
That's one of the flaws in "Black Panther" when they didn't go all out with Klaw, or rather "Klau," as they put it. I read a re-print of a Fantastic Four comic from back in the Lee/Kirby run where KLAW had transmuted himself into a being of "solidified" sound! Okay, maybe that was too much for credulity, but at least he could have been the main heavy instead of a throwaway side villain.
6:12 Yeah, he got HANDED the shield. He didn't EARN the shield. This is the DEI Captain America. Captain DEI? 🤷‍♀
7:10 They should have gotten Sam Elliot. He was the pre-MCU Thunderbolt Ross and he was better in the role than Hurt. And what the hell is Ford still acting for, anyway? Doesn't he have enough money yet? Doesn't he always seem pissed that he's in yet ANOTHER movie? Hang it up, Harry, if that's your attitude!
9:32 Does he have his hair? Is that the same way Shatner has his hair? The man pays top dollar for it, I'm sure!

Regarding Super Soldier serum and Captain America:
    (1) Dialogue: Doctor Abraham Erskine talking to Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger movie , 2011 (below):
Doctor Abraham Erskine (creator of the serum) = "Yeah, but... there were other...
Doctor Abraham Erskine= "Whatever happens tomorrow, you must promise me one thing. THAT YOU WILL STAY WHO YOU ARE, NOT A PERFECT SOLDIER BUT A GOOD MAN."
Dr.Abraham Erskine (his final moment after getting shot)= "Stop him!"... NOTE: Said before being shot by Heinz Kruger. Before dying from his injuries, Erskine points at Steve Rogers' heart, silently reminding Steve of his promise to remain a good man priority over being a perfect soldier.
In the source material/ comics, Sam became Captain America in 2014 (TEN YEARS AGO) and is still Captain America today ALONGSIDE Steve Rogers (like Peter Parker + Miles Morales BOTH = Spiderman).
    (2) ...New Captain does NOT NEED THE SERUM...
2a) Because he does NOT need super-strength to make him a good fighter and/or tactical combat. This is dependent on skill and training especially when he also has the strongest materials on earth (VIBRANIUM and possibly Adamantium) in his combat arsenal. This is sufficient to battle against superior strength opponents.
2b) All the feats of strength or durability New Captain America has done came AFTER he got the VIBRANIUM upgrades towards the end of FaTW/ Falcon and the Winter Soldier tv series (2019) meaning it is the vibranium doing the work of strength and durability. New Captain America is simply making application of those tools.
Here is a hint, look at the strength feats Bucky/ Winter Soldier did in FATW tv series and the recent THUNDERBOLTS special look trailer.... He uses his VIBRANIUM ARM to do those feats yet he also has super-serum so ask yourself why he never uses his natural super soldier serum/sss arm. And guess what?.... Bucky's Vibranium arm is performing far much stronger feats than his biological sss arm.
There is NO serum inside the vibranium arm and yet see what Bucky is doing with it.... It is basically application of tools into action just like what New Captain America is doing. Bucky may have the serum, can run faster and physically stronger due to the serum BUT THE VIBRANIUM DOES NOT NEED SERUM TO WORK.
2c) It is actually a cool idea that New Captain America does NOT take the serum because.....
    i) ..... It teaches that skill and talent when applied well with the right tools can pay off even against greater odds. A good work ethic.
ii)..... It also shows that just because you are not enhanced on steroids or don't have superpowers does NOT mean that you can not be a superhero or do good especially when the superhero name has a COUNTRY in the name.... Captain AMERICA.
iii)..... It also teaches that ANY AMERICAN with the heart for a better America and a better safer world can be worthy of Captain America. That is why the superhero name is "Captain AMERICA" NOT Captain White American or Captain Arab American or Captain Catholic American or Captain Buddhist American, etc.
iv) ... Sam's wings hint at the American Eagle on the American Coat of Arms which is genius and very fitting for anyone labelled "Captain America". Steve Rogers initially hard 'wings' on his helmet to symbolize the American Eagle but ACTUALLY having wings to fly like the eagle is more fitting in my opinion.
v).... If Sam took the super soldier serum, he would become a cheap copy n paste of Steve Rogers like the terrible one in FATW who chosen by the gov't then unchosen. That dude thought just having a flag on his chest + a shield + + serum automatically makes him worthy yet he did NOT have the morality that Steve saw in Sam which he why Steve chose same as his successor. If Sam took the serum it would severely diminish his individuality and uniqueness he brings to the mantle and legacy of captain america. This would be EXACTLY the complaint y'all would be ranting about if Sam took the serum.
All this is NOT knocking on the brilliance of Steve Rogers but rather exalting the morals and beliefs he stands for. He was willing to sacrifice himself to save others BEFORE he got enhanced and he was told that he could die if the experiment failed but that did NOT phase him because he believed he was doing it for the betterment of humanity
    (3) .... Lastly, our smart self professed science nerd himself Spiderman said the VIBRANIUM shield "does NOT obey the laws of physics" in Captain America 3: Civil War. That line was not placed there by mistake. It is an outta-jail-free-card to say you do NOT need super-strength to be able to use the shield. Besides, we have seen several NORMAL PEOPLE WITH NO SUPERPOWERS carrying around the shield easily because the vibranium shield VERY light-weight despite its grandiose durability and it's bouncy freesbie-like properties. I bet a normal human freesbie champion can also use the shield very well
    (4) .... Oh. Just one more. New Captain VS Rulk is directly inspired from the several themes of Man vs Monster in several myths and legends which gave birth to the "underdog" when the hero is stacked against superior odds but still finds some cool way with the aid of a handy POWERFUL tool or clever trick to achieve victory so i am eagerly fascinated looking forward to see how New Captain VS Rulk will be resolved. Either way, i am hyped for that fight and for the movie in general.
    (5) MCU is NOT 1=1 with Marvel Comics and have never been. That has been pretty OBVIOUS from day one from the MCU started.
    (6) In the comics, Sam Wilson is able to handle himself just fine with NO super soldier serum even when battling physically stronger opponents so why be inauthentic when adapting the character to the big screen.

I get Iron Man did the landing pose to highlight the armor is heavy. Makes sense. I've always preferred the Christopher Reeves soft landing. It shows he's in total control of this awesome power.

When in my team I have people removed for any reason, I don't tell people "here's the replacement for Pedro", because people are not assets that you can flip without expecting people to not notice. Just imagine they expecting us to think switching Crhis Evans for however the guy playing the Falcon is without batting an eye.
    Don't they hire consultants?

General Ross becoming Red Hulk sounds like General Eiling becoming The General (a hulking monster) in Justice League: Unlimited.
Also... a Vibranium Suit means there's little to no stakes. Vibranium is super special awesome-ium and it stops almost everything except plot mandated injuries for dramorz.

  • @shadowone01x99
    @shadowone01x99 2 дня назад

    For the uninformed.....
    (1) Red Hulk's weakness:
Red Hulk generates heat the angrier he gets. It is also his weakness if he generates too much it overwhelms him. New Cap has vibranium suit + wings + shield (possibly rumored adamantium) which is plenty for him to drag out the fight long enough for Red Hulk/ RULK to overheat.
    (2) Steve Rogers leaving or passing in the mantle
In the source material/ comics, Steve Rogers has died (at least twice) and retired from being Captain America (at least twice) whereby in all these scenarios someone else became the new Captain America. After one of Rogers retirement from being Captain America, he became a different superhero named NOMAD. There is speculation (unconfirmed) that Chris Evans returning MCU might be to play as NORMAD while in another (after he super soldier serum from drained from him) he became Chief of SHIELDs civilian oversight committee".
    (3) Legacy characters/ mantles:
3a) > Superheroes lore has a tradition of sidekicks and LEGACY characters for OVER 60 YEARS so superheroes can and have transfered and/or given and/or shared and/or picked-up their mantle with other characters. There are an abundance in superhero-dom from Blue Beetle, Flash, Green Lantern, Spiderman, Batman, Superman, ANTMAN, Hulk, Human Torch, Spawn, Robin, The Question, Solar/ Doctor Solar, The Atom, Hawkgirl, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Zorro, The Spectre, Mister Miracle, Doctor Midnite, GHOST RIDER, etc and so on. They are VERY many legacy characters.
3b) > Other than Sam Wilson becoming Captain America, there have been at least FIVE other Captain Americas other than Steve Rogers* like William Naslund, Jeffrey Mace, John Walker (currently U.S Agent in MCU after his failed Captain America stint on Falcon and Winter Soldier tv series), William Burnside and James "Bucky" Barnes/ Winter Soldier.
3c) > Notice grifters only focus on legacy characters who are NOT White inherently implying only non-whites become legacy characters which is definitively NOT true. They make it sound like Sam Wilson is the first ever legacy character to have the mantle in order to conflate this to "DEI" Rwwaaar🤣. They *NEVER* mention the other characters who also became Captain America. Lol
3d)> Notice the same grifters demand that only the original character superhero should matter yet many of the popular superheroes are NOT the originals like....
    i) > GHOST RIDER- Johnny Blaze is NOT the original Ghost Rider (Carter Slade, currently named Phantom Rider) followed by MANY other legacy characters who are Ghost Riders from Danny Ketch, Alejandra Jones, Robbie Reyes, Kenshiro Cochrane, etc.
ii) > ROBIN- Damian Wayne is NOT the original ROBIN (Dick Grayson, currently Nightwing and has been Batman a couple of times) and there
iii)> FLASH- Barry Allen is NOT the original Flash (Jay Garrick) + MANY other legacy Flashes by Wally West, Wallace West, Bart Allen, Avery Ho, etc.
iv) > GREEN LANTERN- Hal Jordan is NOT the original Green Lantern (Alan Scott) + MANY other GL characters like John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner, Jade (Alan Scott's daughter), Simon Baz, Sojourner, etc all sharing the same title as GREEN Lanterns.
    v) .... ANTMAN- The MCU Antman protagonist/ Scott Lang is NOT the original Antman (Hank Pym) who is also in the MCU as the father to Scott Lang's love interest/ Hope Van Dyne/ WASP. Additionally, there are OTHER Antman Legacy characters like Eric O'Grady, Zayn Asghar and Raz Malhotra.
vi) > HUMAN TORCH- Johnny Storm of FANTASTIC FOUR is NOT the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond).
vii) > SPAWN/ Al Simmons- This is an original black superhero/ anti-hero character who has several NON-black legacy characters like Gunslinger Spawn, She-Spawn and Medieval Spawn who all came much later and now co-exist alongside original Spawn just like the different Spidermen, Flashes, Ghost Riders, Blue Beetles, etc. Additionally, Al Simmons original Spawn himself was REPLACED by a WHITE legacy character Jim Downing for a some years before Al Simmons returned. This has also happened to Superman, Spiderman, Captain America, etc.
viii) > BLUE BEETLE-Ted Kord is NOT the original Blue Beetle (Dan Garrett) and yet the MOST POPULAR is hispanic Latino legacy character Jaime Reyes.
ix) SPIDERMAN- There was Miguel Ohara, Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker where also "Spiderman" over a decade BEFORE Miles Morales was created in 2011 and sharing the Spiderman mantle with Peter Parker compared to before (in the 90s) when Reilly and Kaine REPLACED Peter Parker as Spiderman. They shared the mantle (Peter, Ben and Kaine) then LATER Ben Reilly became SCARLET SPIDER then + Kaine Parker joined him SHARING the mantle of SCARLET SPIDER.
However, there is also another character Joe Wade who was a villain also named Scarlet Spider and a separate team of characters called the Scarlet Spiders. And all these are in Marvel comics.
    X) SPIDER-GIRL- This title is shared between TWO main characters Anya Corazon (aka Arana) and Mayday Parker but there are also several others like April Parker, Gwen Warren, Charlotte Morales, etc.
Xi) HAWKEYE- Clint Barton (original) shares the mantle with teenage Kate Bishop and there is another new
Xii) MISTER MIRACLE: Mantle shared between THREE characters... Scott Free (the 2nd and most used), Shilo Norman and Thaddeus Brown (the original). Characters created by JACK KIRBY himself in the 1970s.
Xiii) MISTER TERRIFIC: The original is Terry Sloane but the most popular and beloved is the legacy character Michael Holt who will be in James Gunn's Superman movie releasing this year in July 2025.
Xiv) WONDER GIRL: A title/ mantle shared between
Donna Troy, Cassandra Sandsmark and Yara Flor. In recent years, Donna does not use the title as often compared to the other two characters who share the mantle.
.... etc and so on. There are incredibly very VERY many across superhero lore and mythos spanning at LEAST 60 years (if not earlier) which is why it is an ongoing tradition in and across superhero history.
    (4) > In the source material/ comics, Sam became Captain America in 2014 (TEN YEARS AGO) and is still Captain America today alongside Steve Rogers in the comics.
    (5) > Sam has vibranium SUIT + Vibranium WINGS + Vibranium SHIELD + Adamantium also inside this movie (according to rumors). All these enhancements with such powerful materials are much STRONGER than IRONMAN's Hulkbuster armor made from ordinary materials which had NO vibranium and NO Adamantium yet Tony Stark used that to defeat an ENRAGED Hulk in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron including cracking Hulk's jaw and even tanked some hits from Hulk AND knocked a tooth out of Hulk's mouth.
With those upgrades (vibranium + possible adamantium), Sam has a better chance fighting any Hulk in a dragged out combat against Red Hulk/ RULK as long as he fights smart and tactical just long enough for Sam and/or bis colleagues to to find a way to incapacitate Red Hulk/ Rulk.
They have shown in the trailer how Sam's wings and suit and shield TANKING direct missiles hits without flinching and NO DAMAGE.
Sam is shown using that vibranium enhancements to move FASTER THAN SOUND, making a heavy landing and TANKING sonic boom still NO DAMAGE because of the vibranium.
Trailer also shows the wings can be used offensively to cut/ slice stuff like he did to the burning vehicle.
They are not showing us all that in the trailer by accident. Go watch the THUNDERBOLTS trailers and see what Bucky is doing WITH HIS VIBRANIUM ARM which he can NOT do with his super soldier serum enhanced biological arm.
    (6) > Steve Rogers is about 185 years old now. He got very old and elderly and chose Sam to be his successor as the New Captain America in AVENGERS ENDGAME movie 2019.
6a)> Steve Rogers aging rapidly was also a plot also occurred in the comics/ source material in 2014 (TEN YEARS AGO) when the super soldier serum from drained from him then he chose Sam Wilson as his successor and Rogers became "Chief of SHIELDs civilian oversight committee". Thus circumstance is obviously different from the MCU but the result is the same. Steve Rogers was revitalized with his super soldier youthfulness by a sentient cosmic cube and returned to being Captain America ....but decided to share the mantle with Sam Wilson as BOTH being Captains America (like Peter Parker + Miles Morales both being Spiderman amongst many other examples (as detailed in point (2))
6b) > Steve Rogers was about 90years old when he defrosted from the ice at the end of Captain America : First Avenger movie which brought him into the modern era in 2011 then when you add Steve's modern era time in Captain America 2+3 and Avengers 1,2,3 + 4 (9 years, 2011-2019) AND when Steve time travelled back to the mid-1940s to return to his lover PEGGY CARTER then lived through 1940s to 2019 (additional 70s years at least) AND Steve's age (about mid-20s) in Captain America 1 before he got stuck in suspended animation in the ice. All adds up to about 180 years old.
This is because Steve went through about 73 years 1946 to 2019 TWICE = 146 years
ADD His years in modern era (2011-2019)= 9 years
ADD His initial age before he got stuck in ice in mid-1940s= mid-20s perhaps 25 years old (estimate)
ADD 5 year time jump: This occurred between Infinity War and Endgame.
    Therefore....
... Estimated TOTAL age (in the end of AVENGERS ENDGAME movie, 2019) = 185 years old.
Hmmm.... Y'all let me know if this calculation is correct.🤔🤔🤔

The Winter Soldier having the shield would have made more sense, because of his arm, it would explain how he could throw the shield and catch it. He's still human but he's strong enough to fight off opponents that are tough, like Iron Man or Black Panther.

You can't "pass the mantle" to a character who already has his own legit mantle. As if "Captain America" is somehow a promotion or something. Imagine offering it to Thor or Vision. It just doesn't work like that. There's only one Iron Man...only one Captain America.
