It’s funny how not only did Toriyama inspire generations of manga artists and general artists, but he also inspired so many gyms bros with dragon ball and taught people to always work hard and strive.
The influence of Akira Toriyama affects more than just art and animation... sports, martial arts, mainstream pop culture have changed because of him. He was a once in a lifetime human being, there will never be another like him for at least a long while. Thank you, for everything, Akira Toriyama-sensei.

As a kid, I was raised somewhat poor but watching dragonball made me forget reality. No matter what DB will always live forever and can’t wait to watch it again with my future grand kids

You will do better, maybe one you will be as great as Akira Toriyama. My favorite Part of Dragon Ball is the Frieza Saga, as soon as I heard the news I began looking over his manga. I truly treasure the impact he had on me and my country, may his soul rest in peace.
This is a real tribute video. A lot of people are posting tributes but running ads on their videos which is so heartless. Thank you for being a good person.
Akira toriyama is literally the best thing to ever happen to this world… He’s the king of ANIME! No other anime comes close to dragon ball. Dragon ball is so unique, filled with brilliant ideas, like super saiyans, ki blasts, fusions etc. This man was an absolute GENIUS! 🔥 I have never seen such an anime as unique as dragon ball, and during this whole 100 million years of earth exiting, we were lucky enough to have witnessed something so unique such as dragon ball. Think about that… Something that happens only once in a lifetime. Akira was too good for this world that he had to leave at such a young age. Dragon ball still continues to be my favorite anime/show ever. No other anime comes close to it. You have inspired literally thousands of anime shows, if it weren’t for your brilliant dragon ball creation, naruto or one piece wouldn’t even exist. So thank you akira sensei. You are the true GOAT.
Man, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this sad for loss of someone I’ve never met… truly a legend has been lost. Hands down one of the most influential individuals of all time
He brought so much joy in my childhood, I made many friends from sharing the same hobby thanks to him. His death feels like I just lost a part of my soul.😭😭😭
Dragon Balls can't bring back someone who died of natural causes. At least that was what it said in the English Dub. As much as we wish we could bring back a Manga Legend, we have to take solace in the fact that he had possibly left many notes for his assistants to continue his work.
Akira Toriyama will always be one of the greatest Manga/Anime creators of all time and I have had a love and passion for Japan and Japanese culture ever since I was a little kid in the 90's and been a fan of everything that became popular here in America and around the world globally. Akira Toriyama's creations such as Dragon Ball will always stay with us and always stay with me as much as I'm here living. Hopefully my mother and I will have the opportunity to visit and explore Japan for once in a lifetime. May you rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. 🙏 ✝ 🇯🇵 🐉
Akira Toriyama mentored Toyotaro to eventually take over for Dragon Ball. We don't know what else is going on with Dragon Ball privately. Toriyama Sensei was our hero, a friend, I don't know how to explain it but it was just everything in good faith, good positivity, and to chase dreams, make changes, and grow stronger beyond imaginations.
Akira Toriyama is not gone, he is watching earth with Goku, if anyone know the song we were angels🥰Toyotaro have big shoes to fill in if he is or want to taking up the mantle of Toriyama-sensei🥰
It's amazing that someone we've personally never met left such an amazing impact on our lives. That is just how incredible Akira Toriyama is. He passed away two days before my birthday, so when I found out it hit me really hard. No matter how old I get, Dragonball will always be with me.
We have a HUGE fan following of Dragon Ball and Toriyama sir here in India as well... Its extremely sad and a BIG loss because i think nobody understood dragon ball and its characters and their power more than Toriyama sir himself... He must be in the realm of the Supreme Kais!!
It is so sad I can't believe we lost a childhood hero who had a huge impact I grew up with dragon ball when ever I'm sad I would watch alongside one piece and naruto life is short it really is and we can't really enjoy without him
Akira sensei was one of Japan's many gifts to the world. He'll be dearly missed by all of us... but his legacy lives on. Every time one of us smile because of dragon quest, dragon ball, chrono trigger or any shounen manga since the 90's really... it's in no small part thanks to him. And of course, he'll still live on in all of our memories. Man, I loved that guy. I know heaven does too.

Dragonball first aired in Canada where I live in 1996, I was 6 years old then when I fell in love with the show. It opened up so many more anime to me. I am forever grateful to be able to be around when it came out. Thank you Akira Toriyama, may you forever find peace. You will forever live in our hearts because legends never truly die ❤️🙏
My favorite thing about dragon ball is that I was the perfect age for it when it was new in America. I’ve made friends because of dragon ball, I study martial arts because of dragon ball, and I learned how to draw because of dragon ball. I may not be Japanese but Akira Toriyama is such a huge inspiration to my life. I feel like there is something I should do to honor him, but I don’t know what. Rest in peace sensei 😔
Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. You are loved by so many around the world. You are a the most legendary manga artist to exist and you will never be forgotten. May we meet again in Other World 🕊 🐉 ❤
It was because of Akira Toriyama, when Dragon Ball Z aired in the USA 🇺🇸 for the first time in 1997 that helped Japanese anime gain recognition in the West. Toriyama helped introduce a new generation in a new part of the world to Japanese anime and we wanted more of it. I finally watch Dragon Ball Kai when it aired in the USA 🇺🇸 and I immediately fell in love with the show and everything Toriyama made. Thank you Akira Toriyama. Thank you Japan. 🇯🇵
Growing poor in a house far from civilization without internet, it was experience not like any other. It was show unlike any other... It was most amazing experience of my life, he was like a second father to me, and to many people. How many daydreams I had making up my own stories inspired by this man. No other famous people death had any impact on my but this.
Toriyama-Sensei literally changed the trajectory of my life & gave me a fire inside that motivated me to become a better version of myself. The Warrior-Hero archetype characters he created spurred and motivated me to search for power and strength & to fulfil my potential as a young adolescent & into my early 20s. I reached levels of achievement in the mystical arts and the martial arts because of Toriyama-Sensei’s works on the DragonBall & DragonBall Z franchises. It was me who put in the work but it was Toriyama-Sensei who inspired me and I will always be grateful for what he has given us!🙏🏻
For me it was "Chrono Trigger" that introduced me to his art! Dragon Ball and whatnot, was just a follow-along to that. RIP!! Sayonara, Toriyama-Sensei!! 🤧💌😭😭😇
When I saw this it broke me bc Ik how many people were saved or how many people lives had been changed by this man. I’m glad that media is forever because toriyama will live on and continue to influence and help people until the end of time. I just wanna thank him for that once more.
Thanks for sharing this with us that speak English, we are so saddened by this, he made the anime that changed anime for ever in the west, an anime that so many have shown their brothers and cousins.
The whole world is in mourning. Toriyama has created a living legacy of artist, athletes and people in general who were inspired by him. Toriyama changed the world for the better and will never be forgotten.
There is no amount of thanks that will ever be enough, one of the greatest artists the world will ever see. I'm very grateful but also sad, R.I.P. Akira Toriyama you will be missed.
In Poland manga and anime boom was started at the second half of 90's. First was Sailor Moon series, and shortly after that, Dragon Ball was shown to us - french version (license and translation costs). That started great snowball, which turns on till today. And now going to clou of my post: Since i was akid i always draw and draw. Till today i'm really good at it. And when Drgon Ball showed up, i was always asked by my friends to draw some Goku and the others for them. And i made it countless times. And that's why i will be always paying my respect for many mangakas, but special to mr. Toriyama: Thank You for all your work.
You have to remember that you can't bring someone back to life with the dragon balls if they die of natural causes. But it is still very unfortunate that this happened to Mr. Toriyama.
#thankyouakiratoriyama he made my childhood epic. teen gohan+goku vs perfect cell and genkidama goku vs super boo was the most iconic moments of DBZ. T__T
I just started watching Dragon Ball a year ago and finished all seasons of Dragon Ball and Dragon, Ball, Z, and all movies. Although I don’t understand its allure or why it’s so popular because I didn’t think it was any good…I do understand why Akira is popular. His cartoons were shown on tv to so many of you when you were children. R.I.P. Akira 🙏🏼
In norway we never saw or got eps of db. But we knew of it. But it was very mysterious. All we had was ovas and clips and mods from wc3. We also found a few eps or few mins of a few eps on dailywire and some torrent/dl sites. Manga came to norway in like maybe 2000-2006 and could finally get hands on something. But dbz was still far away and we knew something happened there. The blonde hair and transforms. We knew it was a thing but not what and thats what intrigued us at first. Then tpb came. Full movies full show. It spread like wildfire and could finally see all eps. We were blown away finally got answers and loved it. And in my late 20s i saw it again 4th time with my gf who didnt have any interest in anime, but now she want to rewatch it all and loves the characters. Her fav was piccolo and now piccolo and vegeta and loved his growth. That was the power of akira. Thanks toriyama. You made my childhood amazing. Rest well
Just like George Lucas did with Star Wars, Toriyama created his world for everyone to play in, which makes him a genius. . For a lot of Americans around 45 years and younger, we didn't know or care about the past in regards to the Empire of Japan or Pearl Harbor, because it was so long ago. The younger generations of American knew Japan through its vibrant and unique culture in entertainment, especially with manga and anime. I've always loved Dragon Ball like many people around the world, and its made me appreciate the Japan's history and culture beyond just entertainment, I don't think I'm the only one. For that, Toriyama shall forever be a legend for Japan and the world.
I'm glad you made this as a foreigner I wanted to know what Japan felt obviously gaijins made a ton of nice videos shout out to them but its good to hear it from the source.
My mom doesn't really send me articles on this stuff. She didn't with Yu-Gi-Oh she didn't with Berserk. However, with Toriyama and Dragon Ball and Z was something we both watched together every night on Toonami. This is what Goku must feel like wearing these weighted clothes.
Toriyama sensei inspired me to train, inspired my love of art, inspired me to be better person. Rest in paradise. He was the best to ever do it

My favorite part about Dragon ball was definitely the transformations. Rest in Peace and Power Toriyama-Sensei.
Growing poor in a house far from civilization without internet, it was experience not like any other. It was show unlike any other... It was most amazing experience of my life, he was like a second father to me, and to many people. How many daydreams I had making up my own stories inspired by this man. No other famous people death had any impact on my but this.
RIP Sensey toriyama thanks all dragon ball and take my childhood is happy your legency is forever ❤
In high school i got bullied but when ghan turn super sayian 2 for the first time gave me courage to fight back thank you Akira Toriyama.
Thanks for sharing this with us that speak English, we are so saddened by this, he made the anime that changed anime for ever in the west, an anime that so many have shown their brothers and cousins.
The idea of AT walking down Snake Way is both beautiful and sad.
The whole world is in mourning. Toriyama has created a living legacy of artist, athletes and people in general who were inspired by him. Toriyama changed the world for the better and will never be forgotten.
Thank-you, Toriyama San...
There is no amount of thanks that will ever be enough, one of the greatest artists the world will ever see. I'm very grateful but also sad, R.I.P. Akira Toriyama you will be missed.
The whole world is mourning this man. Rip. I love everything dragonball
gohan going ssj 2
He's like Stan Lee. Gone but heis legacy stay with everyone.
It made me cry what Edo said..
R.I.P. Akira 🙏🏼
It shocked me at first too... now I feel so sad. I know it's even more difficult in Japan. Toriyama is gone far too early.
R.i.p and Condolences Legend🙏🕯️
Beautiful message. Truly a heavy loss. Rip Akira Toriyama
Rest well
I’m still heartbroken…
Much Love brotha from New Zealand
Rest in peace hero 😢
Thank you and thank your culture for giving the rest of the world so many gifts.
I never expected this. 😔
RIP Toriyama
6:49 スーパーに界王の星を生き返りた。
確かにそうだったか
I hope the best for Akira and his close love ones. He was such a legend to the world and history
He has become divine !
It has been a week and I still feel so sad about it. 😢
I think Toriyama Sensei himself has no idea how many lives he has actually saved through son Goku and DBZ. RIP Toriyama Sensei.
