I’ve own my SKX009 now for about 4 years now and just this week received my new old stock SKX011J from Japan 🇯🇵. I own 14 Seiko’s and love them all . To me Seiko makes the best watch that money 💰 can buy 👍🏻💯
Great video! My Orient Ray II has a similar story to tell. It’s been riding on my wrist for the past two years everyday at work (Union Carpenter). Most of that time has been doing form work 50-60 hours per week. It still keeps time at +7 secs a day.
Wow, this is one of my favorite SKX videos, your story is incredible, certified zombie apocalypse watch! I actually like that the older movements don't hack or handwind, it reduces wear and tear so they will last longer! Many Seikos that are over 60 years old
Yep, seikos can run for a very long time even without servicing for a very long time. I got to open some vintage pieces that had never been opened or worked on.

You have one? I hardly ever see them. When I got mine I didn't even know the 007 existed. When I found out about the 007 hype I king of wish I would have gotten that instead. But now I like the dial in the 173 better I glad I got it instead. Thanks for your comment!!
Saw your other channel and watched the state of the collection, you had a lovely Omaga and Seiko turtle, then saw you had started a watch channel, bet you have seen some nice watches seeing that your dad's a watchmaker, cool mate, all the best from the UK
Thanks! Yea I have sometimes I stop by his shop just to look at what he's working on or has repaired. I have tried on some of the most amazing watches. Some watches you don't understand until you try it on. The explorer ii is a great example. I never had intrest in it until a couple of months ago at my dad's shop he had repaired one and I got to try it on for a few... I fell in love with it!!
Great video! I own an skx009. I’ve owned it for almost 7 years now. This was my first Automatic and nice watch as well. I’ve bought many other affordable watches but later get rid of them because I feel guilty because I’m not wearing my skx.

The SKX173 , 007 and 009 have definitely gone up in price. I wear my 009 all the time to work. They are great watches.
Yes they are, I think that even at todays prices they are still well worth the cost for what you get!

If you don’t like the second flap on a traditional nato, you should look into single pass nato straps. Several vendors sell them.
