This is youtube, you'll find some highly edited, scripted videos that are just wonderful and then you'll find a guy like me making raw videos of what is popping in my mind at the moment. I am not a production company making content pretending to be an average Joe, I am just an average Jose (English as a second language) making videos. (dot dot dot)

In my middle age I have understood it is better to buy timeless goods that you never sell. Not fashionable designs, but ones that stand the test of time and can be repaired. A Cartier tank manual wind watch would seem expensive at the time of purchase, but if you only bought it once you would look back and see how inflation had made a mockery of any initial anxiety to buy. You can apply it to a car or clothes. Fashions exploit us to consume, choosing timeless puts you back in control.

I definitely agree with you! I only differ a little on this watch because I really want the quartz version because you just set it and leave it (until the battery dies) I have alot of mechanical watches.

Thanks for sharing. I think many of us have experienced some version of what you described. Some great looking watches you shared, good luck with your upcoming Cartier purchase!

The BB58 is nice! Congratulations! I had the Tudor BB Chrono panda dial. I think it’s one of the best looking watches out there. But it was just too thick, even for my 8.2 inch wrist, so I sold it unfortunately. If they ever release the BB Chrono in a thinner version, I will jump on it. 😊 That Longines of yours is beautiful!

That is definitely a great looking watch. I didn't realize it was that thick though, I can just imagine it would look huge on a 7" wrist.
Thanks, I really do love the bb58. I think for my wrist it fits perfectly. Even though at the end of the day a perfect fitting watch is just subjective because it's what you enjoy and feel comfortable with that matters. Thanks for you comment!!

i have the bb58 and also the tank large.. theyre both amazing watches. one thing i would say that took me by surprise about the tank though.. was actually i preferred the tank solo with the flat surfaces on the top in the end.. it feels slightly more masculine but also reflects light better and makes it feel a bit more premium.. the newer must model seemed more refined to me at the start, bit in practise i preferred the solo. same goes with the rolex batman, i thought i wanted the jubilee, but the oyster was more useful on a day to day basis...strangely, i found the forstner jubilee on the bb58 to be an amazing way to scratch the jubilee itch, because the retro feeling of the pairing just seemed to gel well for me. but in any case, nice choices man, and im sure youll love the tank, its a must (no pun intended)

After I read your comment a few days ago I realized you are completely right!! I didn't even know the solo existed (my inexperience with cartier) and after looking at many picture and comments I realized you are completely right. It is rare that I didn't find a lot of videos on it, when I clearly think it's a better option for what I'm looking for!! Thanks, you comment really opened my eyes!!

Glad to hear that your operation was successful and you recovered fine. Thank God! // Good watch commentaries about watches! I am not familiar with a lot of your watch vernacular. I don't know if you have a video about what "watch parts and descriptions actually mean", something like: "Watch Vernacular for Dummies" (like me, of course). This, of course, is so that when you say "Bezel", or "machine", or other parts, etc; so that I just don't assume, about what you are describing; and also not get distracted by looking up in Google the word you are saying. If you do have such a video, please let me know, because I have not seen it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year '24, Pepe, and to your family. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊
