I remember this exact car leaving our dealership when we were still open. Special FK8 plates and all. Such fond memories! Not sure if it's the same owner or not, but cars looking great.

I love that they made this car quite..I would love to own this car because of that reason...specially if it your daily driver....loud exhaust are fun for a while or every now and then...not an everyday experience.
This car is growing on me , when it first came I thought it was ugly. I think I might get one end 2022.

I've actually thought as a Honda enthusiast just getting a gear knob collection from the type R's and putting them in a display cabinet. I know doing just that wouldn't be cheap. 😅

The best things about the Type R are the performance capability, chassis balance, low maintenance cost, consumables are pretty cheap (besides tires and brake pads... because my track driving), timing chain instead of timing belt with basically nothing than oil changes and air filter changes that need to be done for the first 100k miles. Track driving warrants more frequent brake fluid changes (but I can do that annually before the start of track season because I use RF-650 Brake Fluid and that stuff is incredible and I was able to run it for the entire year. Are there faster track cars? absolutely... but can you take an FK8 throw some good tires & brakes on and still run with the best of them? ABSOLUTELY. I am only 2 seconds off the lap time of a Porsche GT3RS... a car that obviously cost ALOT more than mine and they are on Cup 2s with alot more power than me. I do have additional things planned like a roll bar and racing seat (mainly for safety)... but when I am done it will be like an OEM plus GT special. I have very mild aero mods planned, nothing flashy (the Type R already looks the part). Then I may consider additional cooling mods and more power... after that that's it.

Honda: The car is overheating, what could we possibly do? Could we make the fake vents real? Nah.

Having the 2021 type r for about 3 months. They are not meant for daily driving. Paint on it was cheap, stock wheels and tires are meant for track not streets. Keep that in mind when buying it. Had to sell mine. Too good of a market to not sell it. Miata ftw.
finally someone else who knows! the FK8 is NOT the ultimate daily driver but it does have a lot of space.
Currently dailying mine, actually thinking about selling mine come the new year. And yeas the market for them is crazy right now.

I daily drive mine & absolutely love every second of it! A quick rim & tire swap with some PPF for the front, it's made the car perfect.

Mk3 Megane RS 95% of the CTR drive experience and 200% of the aesthetics for 40% of the price.

@@danyalag3366 higher maintenance expenses and frequency of replacement of some items than a Honda, sure. There is no leave you stranded type reliability issues with a Mk3 however.

Mk3 megane has got more rawness in handling, clutch feeling and steering.
Short of asking you to get off my lawn, this is way too loud. Drone is coming thought the speakers for F's sake. Totally unneeded for power mods at this level. I need to talk to this guys parents and question what sort of son they're raising.

I had one since 2018, earlier this year I traded it for a 2019 mustang gt and couldn't be happier, Fk8 is a extremely capable track car it sounds horrible even with a aftermarket exhaust !!!! Fwd isn't great either no matter how much honda mask it with their technology.

The honda looks good but that’s as far as it goes. There’s absolutely nothing exciting about an over priced front wheel drive car. This is just my opinion. If they made it awd it would be the ultimate weapon.
You are wrong and I disliked the video because of it. 2019 is the best year!!!! 2018< didn't have a volume knob. 2020 and up have added features you don't need that just make the car more expensive for nothing. You know, like a sensor on your windshield.
I don’t even know why this guy even compared the “4 door family sedan” Civic Type R to the DC2 “2 door” Integra Type R. The DC2 is a legendary “2 door” as this car is another “family 4 door sedan” with a turbo engine in it. All these Civic fans are always comparing this 4 door family sedan to the Legendary, iconic Integra Type R. I wouldn’t even compare this car to the Acura RSX Type S. This 4 door family sedan has a turbo engine take out the turbo and it probably won’t even be that fast. I don’t see RSX Type S nor Integra Type R owners selling their cars nowadays. Civic Type R owners buy the car new and they’re already selling them. Goes to show Civic Type R sedans are not that hot. Even the new Supra is a sports car. The 4 door Civic Type R is “not a sports car”. I’ll be fair though the CTR looks pretty fast but that’s as fast as it’ll get as it’s another “4 "heavy" door family sedan” with a turbo engine. A Honda dealer tried to get me to trade my RSX Type S for one of their “4 door family sedans” and that only tells me that RSX and Integra cars are still that fucking hot! Civics are not. I wouldn't trade any RSX/Integra for this heavy "4 door family sedan" Civic Type R with a turbo engine in it.
I realised my younger JDM days are far behind me the first day i owned this car.
Sold mine and got a vf clubby lol. Cars a piece of crap and humilating to drive, buzz box dressed like a wanabe transformer.
