After being out for a few years they are still hard to come by and STILL being sold over MSRP even with miles on them. Let's see if all the hype and high price point is worth it.

I bought a 2019 civic type r, comes with championship white and I bought it brand new back in 2019 and now I got 27,000 miles on it, I also have another 2018 civic sport hatchback and the 2018 civic sport hatchback is my everyday car, I keep my civic type r in my car's garage 100%, I think the body style of the FK8 looks better than the FL5 but that's me and I know other people liked that FL5 more.
Great video. The FK8 was and will always be something special. I am never selling mine.

Absolutely Not, Cheapest ones in australia is currently listed around 40-43k with around 60k+ miles on them which is crazy considering they were 54k brand new in 2017 which is almost 7 years ago.
Hondas hold their value… and the market will always remain in high demand so, buy new or pay for it, literally
This is a collectors car as well. Think back to ek9. People are willing to pay $$$ for the car

Id say for everyone with the 2020 type r civic they should take the 20 inch rims off and put 19s accord79 had one and within 40 miles of driving off the lot he bent a rim

I like the design but it won’t be a classic like Shelby or other bigger block Japanese cars. 300 hp isn’t much so if you can’t boast it more than there is no market for it. Like older Supera, you can boost the hell out of it so there is a demand for it. Heck they sell for 100k used now.
A new gen came out and it’s better in every way arguably the drive your car enjoy it cause they will go down below 40 for sure
On the 2017-2019 Fk8 is it possible to emulate the steering and damping changes they made in the 2020 car? I assume it is mostly software changes
Saw a 2020 type r for sale online. The picture of the backseat had "sanitized" in a banner at the bottom. Yeah I don't think I want that one.
The front grill was made bigger at the bottom, not the top.
Anything that you want, is always worth buying if you can afford it....

Personally, I’d rather buy a clean C6 corvette grand sport in that price range. Or a not so clean Z06

@@joockson1238I personally think that’s a steal, in todays market that’s a really good price for a sports sedan with low miles. Mine was 30k with 85k miles in my area.

And now their low to mid 30's for similar mileage. Hope people waited. I predict they will further come down to mid 20's before shooting back up when gas powered Type R's become a thing of the past.

Currently have a paid off 2019 Si and theres an fk8 type r with 112k miles for $24k in a local dealership but am skeptical it's clapped to hell. Lower mile examples go for damn near $40k still smh

Fk8 owner here and will never sell it. Fl5 is ok but looks like a normal civic.
I thought the same until I changed the tires on my FL5 into PilotSport s4 tires on volks with hondata flash tune with stage one mods bolt ons.. the FL5 actually produced more trq and looks better imo :) I had a 2017fk8 that I sold for close to 40k in 2022 it had somewhere around 8k miles and all the dealer accessories plus well maintained. I only drove 8k miles in 5 years time. I invested the money in BTC when it was around 20k in 2022.. BTC pumped lets just say I got a FREE FL5.. all because I had the balls to sell the FK8 at the right time and invest in digital currencies. This is not a financial advice ! I am keeping the FL5 for my nephew. he will be 16 in year 2039 and these cars will be rare find in the wild for him to acquire for a affordable price for his age. I am waiting for Acura to release the NSX-R producing 888hp .....droool!

2.0 accord is a legit car. Fun to drive. My buddy who has been a die hard Accord owner just left as he was less than thrilled with the latest offerings.
