      Very clean hit, surprised it knocked him out plus it was a smaller DB that hit him....see far more severe helmet to helmet illegal hits where both players get right up.

    THIS HIT started the run IMHO! THIS was the start of the feeling we could beat anyone!

  • @threat_en
    @threat_en 7 лет назад +99

    Even though that was a beautiful, clean hit, if it was done in 2016, it would've been targeting :/ refs see a big hit and always automatically think targeting. It sucks.

    • @chrisriker8186
      @chrisriker8186 7 лет назад +14

      Even if it was called as targeting it wouldn't have been upheld.

    • @johnbs199
      @johnbs199 7 лет назад +13

      Keith this isn't anywhere close to targeting lol

    • @threat_en
      @threat_en 7 лет назад +15

      that's the point... refs today see a big hit and automatically think it's targeting and throw the flag anyway, then you could have bad camera angles and not be able to reverse the call.

    • @kddog88
      @kddog88 6 лет назад

      I disagree. Event hough targeting is widely over used in college football , this doesn't meet the criteria. It is not above the neck, nor did he launch and used his helmet as a weapon.

    If they came together a thousand more times this likely wouldn't happen. Lattimore might even knock the other guy out. It doesn't really mean Reid was that superior to the other guy, it's just on this one particular play he got in a solid, hard, and clean lick. Furthest thing from his mind was knocking Lattimore out. Elsewhere, we've all seen little guys knock the clock out of bigger guys. It's just how it comes together on certain plays.

    As a Gamecock Fan,i would like to congratulate FSU for beating our asses,i thought it would have been a much better game for us,but our QB decided to get drunk the night before this game.He even set up Marcus for this big hit delivered by Greg Reid.Our QB has got one year left to prove somethin of himself,cause that shows a lot of immaturity on his part,getting drunk before a huge game.But FSU Will be a force to be reckoned with just dont hate on Lattimore anymore, hes a great RB, he got set up.

The West is the far superior division right now in the SEC, so SC better take advantage while Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee are down.

    @BlindEyeStudio Lattimore might have been a FRESHMAN but he is a freshman that rushed for 1100+ yards and 17 touchdowns in the SEC, not to mention 93 yards 2td, 1Rec vs then #1 Bama. This was the last game of the season so both were 'veterans'. This was Greg Reid's first year as a starter, same as Lattimore. So your argument from freshman vs veteran player falls apart under further examination. Thanks for playing though. Reid at 5'8 175 vs a 6'0 219 pound Lattimore.......

The Gamecocks don't have history, but they have the best RB in the country behind Montee Ball in the backfield, a duel threat smart quarterback, an SEC grade defense, and a top 10 ranking they earned. Look at Arkansas, they don't have much history, but I guarantee they would smack the shit out of FSU. FSU would not even be able to compete in the SEC.

If South Carolina didn't go to Atlanta in 2010, and finish as one of the top teams in the conference this year, and be projected to win the SEC next year then my argument would be pointless. South Carolina isn't the bottom feeder of the SEC, they are a power. Just about every sensible analyst acknowledges that .
