A person that actually got to the point, no slow intro, just straight to the video! Thanks for the guide since I’m switching to this editing software and now I can understand how it works!
I dont care what people say bro,You are by far the person who made me understood this better,u were not boring,You are also going straight to the point which is something that i like I rate this 💯/10
Probably would've suggested adding in a subtitle track, as opposed to just text. Also for the zooms, there should be an option to use 'Dynamic Zoom', saves Keyframing all the time. I'd also counter suggest that you don't add a zoom to each segment, as it then shows that you're reliant on it and takes away the impact/value behind it. Good work though man, definitely super simple and gets people up to speed in 8 minutes! Keep it up
Thanks, I'm a pretty small RUclipsr and was limited from my editing software (Clipchamp) and I really needed to switch to make better content. When I downloaded Davinci and looks at the interface I wanted to give up but due to your video I have a basic understanding of it THANK YOU!
Starting a RUclips channel, this was my first introduction to DR. I actually really liked the pace because it helped me conceptualize all of the things you can do quickly. A really nice diving board into the software. Great job Josh!
You cut right to the point and you are clear. I've watched other RUclipsrs on Davinci resolve and a lot gets buried in language and I lose focus. Good job❤
I downloaded this because i used vegas in the past and i was told it was similar to vegas. I was feeling frustrated because it had been a while since i used any editing program, and this one isn't exactly like any of the ones ive used. I really appreciate how you broke it down and answered the main question i was stuck on...how to cut out the parts i dont want. Thank you.
A little too fast for beginners (even though I slowed you down). No explanations as to why you make certain selections. Some people want to know what's going on before following blindly. Great effort, though.
@@joshyytv_ Great idea! Something for a person who has no previous video editing experience (at all) vs someone who is simply transitioning from another program is quite different. I fall into that second category. I'm just trying to translate how I do something in Premier Pro to Resolve. If you haven't already, any chance along with that "super basic guide" for your true first-time video editors you could do one for folks transitioning from Premier Pro or one of the other common editing programs?
That what would you expect from a 8 min video on a program that need weaks and months to master. I suggest looking more detailed vids Prob like +30mins
This video was absolutely perfect. Very quick, straight to the point, just the way I like it. As a beginner learning to edit this definitely helped. Thank you!
Great video but sometimes you click through things too quickly, its hard to see which tab you have clicked on especially as there is RUclips text at the top of the video where the Davinci tabs are named but overall really great video consise and to the point, thanks for your great work
For example I couldn't see how you got into the Deliver tab, I had to go onto another YT tutorial to discover you had clicked on the little rocket at the bottom of the screen. Never assume knowledge especially when pitching a tutorial for beginners. I'm only giving feedback as I think your're a really great teacher if you just slow down a little and describe where you are clicking as its often hard to see, keep up the great work
Davinci Resolve is so good im going to buy it. Adobe threw everyone under the bus with their forced subscription model and ridiculous creativecloud software. Davinci team is absolutely, i mean absolutely incredible. Shame too, because the devs behind After Effects were legendary. Thank you for your very helpful videos! Straight to the point and helpful.
Thanks for the help man, I am trying to learn to make a graphic design for my besty and this video has already taught me some stuff. Thanks, you've earned the sub.
Thanks for the video, been using premiere pro for the past 7 years and finally deciding to learn Davinci as well. Just needed a quick breakdown and this helped
This really helps out a ton, I've been using filmora to edit for a while now and there's just too many issues, bugs, crashes, etc. that happens whenever i try to export or save the files. Will start using davinci from here on out
Great video, clear straight to the point, very engaging, im going from mobile editing to Davinci resolve 19 so being able to understand the way davincis editing options are set up make it so much easier to get started. Thank you for the great tutorial 👍
Great tutorial. A little fast but I just play it over and over. Found out a new technique. Sliding clips above or below others. I wondered how people got that effect. Thanks! Oh and I subbed and liked.
How would we find the “name” of a particular image in an image sequence on the time line? For example, let’s say the editor shuffled the image sequence on the timeline. Is there a way of clicking on an image in the timeline and finding the “name” of the image in an image sequence on the timeline?

Except for when he taught me how to install it. I'm not gonna be searching a tutorial for something I haven't already installed. Super stupid
