Another tip for importing by folder. If you right click on the folder in the master and hit Resync Media Files it'll auto import anything you've added to that folder.

Awesome video man! Thank you for the short cuts. Do you have like a screenshot or anything of the short cuts? I see the .txt file has them labeled but it's not the most intuitive thing to read haha. Might not be a bad idea to have a little graphic to go along with this.
Not a bad idea! When I’m back from honeymoon I can do that and add it to the site! Yea the txt file is just for importing into DaVinci, not much good reading in that file lol
Using Davinci for Work for some Years now and still learned a lot new stuff i want to try. Thank you for sharing it! My Favorite is to change all around wasd on the keyboard so i dont have to move all over the keyboard everytime. for example: A=zoom out S=zoom in D=Delete F=Quick Speed changing Q=one Frame right W=one frame left E=in R=Out T=place etc. i mean, everyone has it like it works best but man, there some really little hidden features that help sooo much speeding up the workflow. really want to know what are the deleted tipps you mentioned!

Good tips. I'm using the Q and W shortcuts already. They're so slick compared to the standard methods. One thing I noticed is that these cuts also perform their magic on other clips on the timeline. I’m sure there’s an online course out there, but there’s so many of them that I just don’t know which to choose. I’m a streamer not a videographer so I care more about the editing side than I do the gear side. Any recommendations on courses or a one stop shop to learn davinci resolve? lol

The info you want is out there for free. and while searching around you may learn even more than you expected.
I still yet to have the studio DaVinci due to it's availability in my country but this was much useful especially the Q&W thing I struggle with in the free version. Is there any faster way to speed and slow clips like we used to in Sony vegas with velocity and after effects? the speed tabs in DaVinci i couldn't use to tbh even though you showcased it with your shortcuts
Hey there! Unfortunately, the fastest way to speed ramp to my knowledge is what I showed in the video. "CMD + R" for creating ramps and just "R" if you want to change the speed of the whole clip. I hope that Davinci makes speed changes a more seamless task soon.
very helpful thank you do you know if theres any way to set up davinci to always have a font you want to be the default it goes to for any titles or lower thirds you need to do instead of having to find it everytime you slap a graphic on?
Kinda! Make the changes you want to a text in the timeline. Then drag it from the timeline into a power bin. Then, instead of having to open the effects panel and get the text there, you can find it under your power bins and it will be saved with all the parameters that it was dragged in there with.
@@ConnerJohn appreciate the reply. Thanks Ya I do the power bins thing just would be awesome to just be able to set a default font in the global preferences so it applies it to any fusion titles or whatever you grab
@@ConnerJohn If you want to do any more - I also find issues with all the options available in the mouse as it hovers over and at the end of every clip.
Hmmm what specific problem are you encountering? Difficult to grab the correct handle when at the cut points for the clip? I might have some tips for ya!
Thank you! And I think I understand your question. Head to the source viewer and select the three dots on the top right of the viewer. Youll see the 2 options "show audio waveform". One is zoomed and one is full audio waveform. Hope that helps!

Great tips, it is useful to me. I come from Vietnam
Much love to Vietnam! Glad you liked it!
@@LastXwitness yea I agree! That would be very useful. I’ll play around with it and see what I can find!
Really useful, SUBSCRIBED 🥰
Thank you!! I'm glad it helped you!
@@ConnerJohn my pleasure sir🖤
Part 2 out now :)
Thank you for your keyboard shortcuts - I have found Resolve not as intuitive at making custom keyboards as Resolve
Happy to help!!
@@ConnerJohn If you want to do any more - I also find issues with all the options available in the mouse as it hovers over and at the end of every clip.
Hmmm what specific problem are you encountering? Difficult to grab the correct handle when at the cut points for the clip? I might have some tips for ya!
@@ConnerJohn All the options to the right of the BLADE tool
( I tried to send a screen grab but I can't in here)
Send me a video explanation on IG and ill see how I can help! @_ConnerJohn
hey, great tutorial
Yes I goofed and forgot to set it to mono! Glad you liked it still!
IOP should give you automatic access to Heaven 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Fantastic tip!
@@maxinfilms8893 ahahaha well thank you!
@@ConnerJohn I'm cutting a reality show right now and this is phucking amazing, literally has me happy! Subbed!!!
Oh thats awesome!!! I'd love to watch it when youre completed with it and its released!
it's a nice tutorial thankyou, btw do we can zoom the waveform from clips that we want to cut? for detail waveform like on premiere pro?
Thank you! And I think I understand your question. Head to the source viewer and select the three dots on the top right of the viewer. Youll see the 2 options "show audio waveform". One is zoomed and one is full audio waveform. Hope that helps!
