This hardware utilization is huge. It is a difference like night and day. I used to started the output render, walk away do something else and then eventually come back and upload the video to RUclips. Now it is so fast that I can just stay there, wait and immediately upload the vid. It is worth the $299. My mileage
This came up at a perfect time, I used to have Davinci Resolve when I started making videos but when I was in HS, I was in a TV Production class and was learning Adobe Premiere Pro. I had a subscription for free by the school but then I graduated and I was paying 20 bucks a month, realized why am I paying for it when DR is free. So I've been back to DR and I definitely will try using the first 2 plugins!
MrAlex Tech and Patrick Sterling have been a godsend for many DR users. Thanks for bringing my attention to the Fairlight sound library; I've had Resolve for a year and never knew about it. It's a fantastic collection of Foley sounds.
Agreed, and the biggest productivity loss is accidentally fat fingering a button for a function I dont understand and spending time googling to figure out whats wrong with Resolve. :P
These are all absolutely amazing! Been creating videos for a year now (9 months consistently) and the amount I have learned on Resolve is crazy. And this just helps me take it to the next level now thank you so much!!!
I found davinci last year when I wanted to start my channel and I'm incredibly impressed with it. For a free video editor I'm legit blown away and does 99% of the things I want and need. Only a few complaints but other than that, definitely the best free video editor.
I have been using Resolve for a while, but seeing some of these plugins is a game changer. I definitely see some uses for them that I plan to implement in upcoming videos.
Firstly: yes please return. 2nd, THANK YOU. I've been dabbling in davinci a bit (former Sony Vegas Pro editor here, made a lot of AMVs) and I've been meaning to wrap my head around Davinci, since I barely have ANY experience, if at all, with AAE, some of the features have intimidated me. So thank you so much for these plugins!
Thanks for the info on the plugins. Just a point, adding the sound library was a bit more involved then advised. After clicking on the "Download" link and agreeing to a usage policy you down load a ".zip" file containing a ".exe" file. You run the ".exe" and chose the folder where you wanted to install the library. I chose the "Audio" folder inside the Divinci Resolvefolder. Then inside the "Fairlight" page simply typing in *** in the search did nothing. I had to click on "Add Library" and then chose the "Fairlight Sound Library" folder inside my "Divinci\audio" folder" and then all the sound effect files are available. I am only starting to play around with video editing as a hobby and cannot believe this software with all these features is available for free. Sound effects are a nice addition also.
I liked hearing from Dustin. I've been bumming my way through learning how to use Davinci Resolve for an embarrassingly long time now. I would love to see more videos like this in the future.
Just bought myself the Studio Packet and I have to say it is a lot better to work with when you have a RTX30/40 and a 12+ core CPU. It reallly helps making content a lot faster and more efficent. Thank you for the Plugins, really helps me out as I also transitioned from AE/Premiere to Davinci Resolve! Keep up the great work!
I'm sitting here with my almost 10 year old laptop and drawing 8 rectangles on the screen runs at 1.5 frames per second for some reason. I really think that they can optimize it to work as well on my old laptop as it does on your PC currently if they optimize the hell out of it. There's no way my laptop can calculate millions of polygons and pixels and not draw 8 mono color rectangles at more than 5 fps.
Do some search on youtube how to do that...Only weakness I found here is that I cannot edit while rendering another video like premeire + media encoder do.

Bruh. BRUH. This video was MAD helpful. I chose Davinci as my go to video editor when I began my RUclips adventure a year and a half ago. I have learned so much and it's been fun as well as challenging. This video is going to make it even more fun and level up my content in that special way that most in my niche do not do. I want to see Dustin come back and give us some more love but even if he doesn't, I'm going over to his site and check out the rest of his stuff because this was super helpful. Now, let me go make this video that is supposed to post on Friday and add some of these elements. Thanks and much love. Peace and hair grease! 👊🏿🙂

This couldn't have come at a better time! My 8 year old MacBook Pro is starting to slow down so I'm using my gaming rig to edit in Davinci as of now. Also, I'm impressed with how quickly I got used to the UI in Resolve over Final Cut Pro which I don't care for as much nowadays 😬

Dustin was great! Been using Resolve from the start. Originally just because it’s free, but later upgraded to studio because I never want to switch!
That Zoom and Text plugins are going to be a GAME CHANGER for me. Thanks!
Both of Alex’s plugins should be a good start. Fun video and presentation. Thanks dude.
Resolve on the iPad did blow my mind! Downloading it now because that's really cool!
This video is a godsend, Ive been using Adobe Premier Elements for the last 2 years and man, DaVinci is so amazing compare to premier. Using premier elements felt like I was back in 7th grade falling asleep in photoshop class. Davinci is so clean, flexible and modern which makes it so easy for beginners.
Having a person who knows about the topic explaining the video? BIG YES
You be in ALL the videos about editing, and what else you knowledge in!
Its for the same reason I like watching Harris do the streaming videos, on how to improve, and what to focus on.
Great info. I've been using Resolve for over a year and am amazed at it's power in a free software.
I started a new channel a few months back, and I use Davinci Resolve. Every video I try to add some new things I learned, and my workflow is getting better and faster.
I cant even miss a single second of this video, all of these plugins are so useful!
gotta say the composition of this video - aka Lighting vs Beard - is just fantastic!
Okay...I am decided! Switching to DR as my full time NLE. I worked in FCP for over a decade and I have done very well working with major brands, as its about the editor not the NLE...BUUUTTTTTT...as I have become a "vet" I see the need to step it up and create a team of DR editors! It just makes sense! Thanks and I am going to dive right in!!!
I’ve had resolve downloaded for years. But finally made the switch at the end of last year. And it’s totally worth it.
This is dope! I plan on using the top 3 plugins for sure. Appreciate the content fellas.
Please return. You were great. Clear, concise and easy to understand! Great job
Bruh.
These are super cool, especially the first two. I love this format and would love more from Dustin.
This video came out at the perfect time, I've been using Resolve for over 2 years for stream VODs, TikToks, and of course RUclips. I've gotten pretty quick with a lot of the editing I do in my videos, but these plugins are insane. I never even touched plugins before😂
I have been editing with Vegas Pro for over 15 years and want to start a few small projects in Davinci to get use to the workflow. These plugins do look useful and I think I will add right away.
Great video.
As a new comer to Davinci Resolve, these plug-ins look like an amazing time saver! I am still learning how to do Text Effects to make my videos pop, and Magic Animate alone looks like a fantastic time saver.
He did a great job on the video! I started using Resolve when my after effects expired and I love it! Finding new ways to make my tiktoks better. I will forsure use magic animate and zoom
yeah already planning on exploring these when I wake up tomorrow. also having Dustin come in and explain the different plugins and how he uses them was extremely valuable
Those sound library at the end gave me goosebump...Gonna try these out soon...🤚🤚
This is the best video I've seen in ages! Totally updating my editing game! Thankyou :D
Great stuff! Yes, do more videos like this one. I'm just breaking into DaVinci Resolve, so this was VERY helpful.
ive been on the hunt for so many presets and plugins omg. It amazing to see this video from you harris!
It took me forever to find a good video editor for gaming content, and with me being only person and not knowing which direction to look, I stumbled upon Davinci Resolve, and with it I have actually started making content! I make sure to watch all the MrAlexTech videos I come across, and YES I would very much like more video editing from Dustin! Thank you for the few plugins I didn't know I needed! 😁😁😁😁😁
I’ve been using Davinci resolve exclusively since creating content and wow these plugins look amazing!
My editing is gonna be so happy after watching this! Thank you! Brilliant stuff
Definitely downloading the magic zoom and the magic animate. Great video! And I think Dustin should do more editing videos.
One of my favourite part of the the mrAlexTech plugins are essentially fusion template and macro tools. So you can still dig into it in fusion and customize it further.
