This fight took place under a canopy in 100+ degrees in the middle of the day. It took place at this time of day because of time considerations for US Closed Circuit TV. The intense heat contributed greatly to the fight basically being a dud, flop, probably the most boring World Title fight in heavyweight history. Ali was used to training in Miami but Bugner was not used to it and just couldn't get going. Not saying Bugner would have beaten Ali otherwise but it would have been a better fight.

Bugner was a huge guy who makes All look quite small. I reckon Bugner would have destroyed any of the heavyweights of today.
