Bugners fight record was 83 fights, 69 wins ( 43 BY KNOCKOUTS ) 13 losses and 1 draw. Most of his losses came in the later days of his career when he made several comebacks. Very underestimated fighter and one of the very best defensive boxers of all time, not many people went 15 rounds with Ali.

Going 15 rounds with Ali is a huge achievement. Even bigger, though, was that he looked like he was having fun!

Bugner was tough. But, I don't think he had KILLER in him. Despite Ali's great defensive skills, and despite his style, he had killer in him. And you NEED that in that game.

one of Bugner's opponents had died in the ring during or just after their bout. Supposedly Bugner was never the same afterwards and was very cautious afterwards. I think that's the reason he no longer had the killer instinct, because in his earlier fights he did.

Funny. When you search for Bugner knockouts theres nothing there. Surely the most boring fighter ever?
