  • Making Poison Swingtail Jigs from Do It Molds That Guy Skimpy
Thank you for watching my video !!! I super appreciate all the views, subs, comments, likes and shares.
This channel is mostly about making all sorts of fishing tackle; Jigs, Chatterbaits, Spinnerbaits, Plastic Baits, Airbrushing Crankbaits,....etc.
Besides bait making videos, I also make fishing videos, underwater videos, videos of the seminars I do, interviews and product reviews. Every now and then I will post a non-fishing related video like wine making videos
I’ve been making my own tackle for a long time now and I am always willing to share the knowledge. If you have any questions or just want to say hello, send me an email.... ThatGuySkimpy@Gmail.com

Enjoy your videos esp those relating to jig & chatter bait construction. It looks like the poison tail swing jig insert positions the hook farther back than it needs to be, thus making the bait longer than desirable.. The Zman Freedom Chatterbait actually positions the hook eye into the back of the head, which seems to work well. Have you fished the poison tail swing bladed set up enough to get a feel for it?
Can you tell me the brand/model of the heat gun you are using? I like it’s wide stable base. Regards, stay well!

Well I must say wow I need a few of those in my arsenal! Question I know you stated that it takes a lot of pressure to pull the part you clip to add a blade! But how about the section the hook attaches onto? Since that section is simply just pinched closed with pliers. When you have a good size bass on possibly on cover and such! Does that joint that's pinched holding the hook hold up great? And secondly do you sell these? And if so do you have a website or anything? These are some of the coolest swing style jigs I've seen. All my local shops just sell the basic football or round ball style swing jigs! Very nice though bro new to the channel so apologize for all the questions..

Where do you get your lead from? I checked the Do-It website, and their cost is $25 for only 10lbs. That seems a little steep to me. Do you "make your own" lead (i.e. re-melts from wheel weights, bullets, etc.) or do you buy the ingots?

First thing you should do is thoroughly clean your new molds with brake clean. I have barely seen any lead casters in the fishing community mention this, and they often complain about the molds. If you really want to know more about mold maintenance, watch some bullet casters talking about it
