Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. The instructions that came with the roof bars were terrible and this really helped to keep me sane!

I appreciate you making this video. The directions that came with it were terrible. I stared at it for a while, trying to figure it out. Watched your video and was able to get it installed in no time.
For reference, i installed it on a Mazda CX-90 with flush mount side rails.

Looking at the directions, I couldn't figure out how to put the protective pads on. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for taking the time to make a video. I wanted to share so that others know too that the rails you have are considered flush rails. The part that you replaced just needs to be pulled down a little so that it grips the underside of the lip on the rail. Not sure what the implication of using the longer part is.
The long flat plastic pieces that you inserted before attaching the towers to the cross can be pulled flush to the towers to cut down on wind noise. If you look VERY closely, you can see a scale on them. It might be helpful for people to use them to ensure both sides are evenly spaced. You could also cut what you don't need and place that excess on the section outboard of the towers. Lots of tedious assembly and disassembly for that though.
The cross bars are extremely beefy much like a more expensive Yakima or Thule type. My main complaints are that the towers are made of plastic, and the two screws holding down the cross bars are pretty small. It's higher quality plastic though.

Great follow through and very helpful suggestions. I have noticed wind noise at about 70 mph so I'll look into blocking the open channels. Thanks so much. David

The instructions that came with the kit were worthless. Yours were perfect. Also can use these instructions to mount on a Santa Fe. Thanks.

The instructions that came with this rack were terrible. I have a 2020 Forester and these were perfect. Thank you!

Glad I helped you. This video was rejected by Amazon with no specific reason given so I posted it on YT. BTW, the only thing about this rack is the small increase in wind noise above 70 mph.

How do you feel about this product now that youve had it for awhile? Is the littke bit of wiggle still a concern? Interested in purchasing as theyre much cheaper than OEM

It's been 6 months and so far no problems. It's very solid, I've carried many items on the rack with no issues. The only thing to mention is the slight wind noise at high speed, like over 70 mph but I guess that is to be expected. There are some open areas on the underside that could be covered with tape to reduce the slight noise I imagine but I have so much else more important to do I haven't looked into that. I also bought this rack because of the super high price of others and have not been disappointed. It is a quality build. David
