- This 15-minute indoor walking and dancing workout will help improve your cardiovascular health by getting your heart rate up, burn calories to help with fat loss, and increase strength with exercises that work your legs, glutes, core and upper body. The fun and easy exercises and dance moves are perfect for seniors and beginner exercisers. If you like Zumba for seniors, try this one out!
Join my 80-year-old mom, our cat Mochi, and me as we walk, dance and say yes to next steps to good health.
Marching or walking in place is the foundation for the workout. The weight-shifting dance moves will also work on your balance and coordination, which is important to prevent falls, the leading cause of non-fatal and fatal injuries among seniors.

I love all your videos. I was really sick for a year with asthma and anemia. I was unable to do hardly anything. I started respiratory rehab once I was better and found your videos. I started at the short ones and have worked up to the 30-40 ones. I have established a routine of exercising every day to your videos. It has been only 3 weeks now and I can see a difference in my muscle mass and endurance in all levels of daily living. Each one is very well done and there is something paced for whatever level the viewer is on. I have recommended your site to so many people. THANK YOU for all you are doing in creating your videos. I like the variety which prevents boredom. Please keep it up. I think you are both amazing and inspiring.

You have a large variety of walkouts of varying length. They're a godsend given that walking now where I live would be hazardous (93 degrees and oh so humid!). These walkout routines are actually more demanding than walking (and I don't mean strolling or ambling along). I''m slowly working toward the longer ones you offer and plan on integrating them into my strength routines. This one was just wonderful which offered me the opportunity to add some dance flourishes which I so love to do. Thank you, thank you! Your Mom had me laughing out loud with her rye asides while I was trying to keep rhythm. You two are a delight.

I counted 1815 steps on this video. These mother/daughter workouts are fantastic. I have been on large doses of prednisone for PMR since last April 2023 and these workouts have helped me to stave off the weight that comes with prednisone and in fact have lost 3 lbs in 2 months. Wonderful is this mom and daughter team ❤ Thank you, Mom, daughter and Kitty 🐈⬛PS I will be 80 this coming July 2024.😊

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I started dealing with grand mal seizures in May of 2020 (I was 55). Before then, I was very fit; but for over a year, I couldn't do much of anything. My balance and stamina became so poor. A few months ago, my doctor said to start exercising. All the RUclips videos I found were too boring or too difficult... my brain was so messed up I couldn't follow directions quickly enough. You two make these exercises a delight and keep me from feeling like I'm stupid! You're wonderful!

I started working out with you guys about 2 months ago. I am 65 years old and recently retired. I have been a type 2 diabetic for over 20 years. When I stopped working I was sitting more my diabetes was getting worse and my mood was really changing far the worse. I decided I needed to do something to help myself so I began looking for low impact exercises. What a great find I came across with you and your encouraging mom! Since I’ve started your program at the 10 minute walk, I am now doing the pyramid workouts and just yesterday I did the 20 minute Hitt. My diabetes in now in range. My mind is so much better and I just wanted to thank you.

First off....your mother is absolutely stunning! Glad I found your video. I'm 55 and used to be very active til I got a back injury 8 years ago. I try to keep active walking but I have to use a cane outside of the house. I haven't done an exercise video in ages but wanted to try again and found yours. The fact that you had a cat running around your feet and mine was doing the same is a good sign hahaha. So far so good but I did have a problem figuring out the cha cha. I'm pretty clumsy. If I can't get it after a couple of tries I'll ask my daughter to help me. If I'm not wrong I thought I heard a voice encouraging grandma. If so that's fantastic that 3 generations are involved. This made me miss my mom a bit but the interaction between you and your mother was very nice to see. Hope I am able to keep on doing this and get a bit healthier. ❤
First of all, bravo to you for making the commitment to exercise! It's important to move as much as you can to build muscle and keep both your muscles and joints limber. If you can't do the cha-cha moves, not problem -- just march in place. Also, we invite you to try our other walking and cardio workouts. It's a wonderful sign your kitty was running around with you! cannot tell you how much I've come to enjoy working out with you and your mom (and the kitty), Today was unsure if I had stamina and did a different one hour yoga first but still felt like dancing with music after and this was the perfect add on. I’ve just completed this, I’ve said before, but I’m so pleased to have found this, I’m not able to keep up with the walking workouts I was doing since re-injuring my back, this helps me feel like I’m doing something still. It’s annoying every time i was trying to exercise it set the sciatic pain off down my leg, but this is more gentle, and thank you for saying Well Done for showing up. That really helps. I’m 45 going on 75 I think but I’m still trying!! 😉

Aww thank you! I will just keep moving!! I have a spinal cord stimulator for pain management, but I’ve also been doing physio and yoga moves for a 1.5 hours every morning since my first back surgery when I was 15. The neuromodulation physiotherapist said I had made my own luck by keeping up with core strength exercises and stretching daily. So I’m doing better than most in my situation! I’ve just got to keep moving 😊 thank you. When my motivation is down and the pain is high, you’ve helped me keep going. x

I just did this one for the first time in a long time, and I was amazed to realize how much smaller Mochi was back then! Fun workout! I'm building back up to daily workouts, I hope. I managed 4 last week and hope to work out 6 days out of 7 this week. I am enjoying revisiting older workouts as well as trying out some that I haven't tried before. 🙂

I like the new warm up workout for seniors. Then I do the 15 minute walk dance cardio for fat loss/seniors and beginners . I've also completed the 25 minute walk and strength workout as well as 10 minute cardio/strength workout. but not all at same time. I vary my workouts. Thanks for the variety.

I think these work outs can also help begginers....I have just started working out and honestly these are exercises that I need as I try to adapt to other intense vigorous routines.... And I'm not even elderly....🥰
