I'll never forget the Bahamut vs Alexander fight in FFIX. It was definitely my favorite Alexander appearance.
Alexander was downright terrifying in Type 0. Probably the most epic version of him to date and the most horrifying....

I LOVED Alexander in FF9. I truly do remember the first time I saw him summoned when I was a kid, it was epic.
Final Fantasy Type 0 be like:
Militas: We have an army...
Akademia: We have an Alexander!
John S Insomnia be like: We have Knights!
Alexander has always been a favorite summon of mine from the series, mostly due to how badass he was in VIII.
In fact, VIII gets way too much hate from people.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Alexander is the most badass one, in my opinion.

IMO; Type 0 Alexander is the most powerful version that I have seen. I love his design and as well as FF9 version of him
To anyone who has played Phantasy Star Online 2, the giant ship boss you can battle that has you taking down its weapons to make it safe to attack its core is a good example of what could be done with an Alexander fight in FF14.
To those who don't know the boss I mentioned, basically it's a giant ship with tons of guns, lasers, flame throwers and rocket launchers. While the core is open to attack periodically, its very hard to do so while the machine has all its weapons and both its arms intact, so some players will take these down first to make fighting the core easier.
Basically I see an Alexander fight in FF14 like this - The fight would be broken into phases, but each phase has us take on a different part of the Primal (assuming he appears as one).
Phase 1 would see the full party split into 2 groups to scale his arms and destroy the core while fending off adds.
Phase 2 would have the groups reach the shoulders, and Phase 3 and onwards would have the 2 groups meet in the middle to take on Alexander's head.
This is just one idea of what could happen. What I DON'T want to see is a FF11 Alexander, where we just fight this tiny little thing.

If you have not played FF IX, go download a ps1 emulator and play it, or just look up the Alexander/Bahamut fight. It was by far one of Final Fantasy's most epic moment.
Type 0 is my favorite Alexander appearance probably.

Hey MrHappy, love watching every single one of your Final Fantasy videos. You videos were the final push for me to get into the game after i tried it back in beta for ARR. Been having a blast leveling my WHM ever since!
i wonder what Alexander looks like on the inside of the meck like outer body like what hes accualy an incredibly powerful angel that could destroy everything in holy light and needs to be in the fortress that we always see so that he doesn't just food for thought
now that the FF14 raid is complete, it's time to update this video, or perhaps he will wait to see what appearance he makes in 15? I'm curious tos ee how he stacks up in mrhappy's mind to the past incarnations.
I would love it if both he and Odin appeared in FF15. In my imagination, Alexander and Odin would be the reality check for the player that "size doesn't matter". Alexander would be a massive moving citadel, controlled from within, much like his appearance in FF14. Divine Judgement would be him nuking the battlefield from afar with holy lasers. Odin would also be there, and although he wouldn't be overtly huge, about the same size as an unusually tall man riding a horse, he would be most certainly a top-tier summon, wiping the battlefield clean with Zantetsuken.

Oh no, I'd take it one step further. in addition to Alexander being an Astral, he would also be a physical location you could visit, almost like a town.
Update, ffxv only has like 4 summons and the game has been released for a few years now and was never completed.

Alexander my favorite summon! Imagine him in FF7 remake part 2!
I wish he appeared in FFX/X-2. I mean, you've got a world backstory based around machine weapons of mass-destruction and you don't include the recurring eidolon that is literally a giant machine of mass-destruction. They don't even make reference to him iirc and they could've replaced Vegnagun with him as an ancient machina of mass-destruction.
+StarfieldDisarray ehhhhhh i'd rather him not be tainted by X-2 lol he wouldn't fit as an aeon i don't think though as a machina weapon he would have fit right in. i'm also surprised they didn't include levihathan

I wish FFXV managed to integrate some of the famous summons this series has to offer , in it's storyline
Like the Old Wall Should've been just the Castle in Insomnia Transforming into Alexander when summoned by the king (or in this case Nyx)
or the Knights of the Round is just the Kings of Lucis summoning themselves to attack a Certain enemy

Alexander is one of my favorites, Leviathan being Numbah 1 in my book. But, one thing I don't understand. Is Alexander a Spirit that possesses Machinery? Is that the concept for his character?
Honestly, it depends on which game you look at. Some of theme he is a machine. Others a being imprisoned within a machine. And in others he is just a normal being with those looks.
at least in FFXI, Alexander and Odin both needed a vessel to manifest in the world, Odin possessed certin character and Alexander possessed the Machine
My main problem with the Alexander in FFXIII was its transformation to fortress mode. How the turrets/towers just kinda drop down from nowhere. Kinda weak.
