Fenrir was by far my favorite Avatar in XI, it's surprising to know how few people know the stories told about him in the game, and am very happy to see them brought to light here. Personally I'm really hoping for XIV to split SMN into 2 classes, keeping the doting style type class we have now for certain eggi's, and making a more traditional style that would use Fenrir and a few others. Or just having it so that when you summon something like Fenrir it would drain a lot of your power significantly reducing your damage output to make up for that of Fenrir again bringing you closer to the traditional style type SMN.
I hope we get to see Fenrir as another secret boss fight in Kingdom Hearts series. Maybe he will appear in Halloween Town were you and Skellington get to fight Fenrir in the middle of the forest were all of the holiday doors are and Fenrir gets in the way and Sora and Jack have fight him to get to Christmas door.Once you defeat Fenrir, he slump to the ground and you will earn a new keyblade "Wolf Claw".
Learning I could use Fenrir in FFXI was the last bit of encouragement I needed to try out the game back in the day. I always imagined how cool it would be to be a DRK/SMN and fight with Fenrir by my side (though I hadn't comprehended the gimped stats I would have suffered). I never could beat any of the Avatars as a Summoner so my dream died, but I have high hopes for something with Fenrir in FF14:ARR! Thanks for the videos! I find them both fun and informative to watch! :D
Fenrir may reappear in FFXV. They are vague element in the FFXV first trailer that he may be a summon in the game or at least a symbol for the empire attack Ludis.
i reckon he'll most likely appear in FFXV. they could do a really cool interpretation of him as a summon/creature from what they've shown of the world.

what about the no 31 fafnir hunt in 12 that has closer ties to the myth then the cat boss and has closer looks althou not labled as a wolf he still looks close to it also i think for the name change it was to keep a uniqe out look and not get people confised for the people who did not know his story

I get the feeling you're not a fan of 12. I've watched a few of your videos, and your tone for 12 always seems a little distasteful. And that's fine, 12 is the black sheep of the series. But I will point out you got a detail in this wrong, albiet a small one. He appears twice, once as a miniboss for an optional hunt, but also as a main story boss during the climbing of the pharos.
ff12 ruined alot of ff lore. primal airships and shit. People say the battle system in 12 is great but, even that was a rip off from 11 combat. Still dont understand how people think 12 was a good game

Could you do a piece on Biggs and Wedge? Maybe Cid as well? They are all pretty prevalent in the series.
Fenrir is a flower event item from final fantasy 13-2 as well.

I hope he appears in XIV as a primal. I was hoping the same for diabolos but I think he'll get the same treatment as a dungeon boss

Small correction Fenrir is supposed to be slain in Ragnarok i say supposed to be, because Ragnarok is the norse apocalypse hence hasnt happened yet
I believe Fenrir ate Odin( during Ragnarok) and Tye's Right hand I believe when he was bound.
Fenrir was wasted in ARR. He's a dungeon boss and not a particularly good one at that. Here's hoping he appears in 5.X as a Primal

Fenrir is a cheap boss in FF Explorers. FXXX that thing.
