I'll be honest, that I find it most interesting that Branch in this movie had a lot more screen time and not a lot about poppy. I also want to mention that if the Trolls are usually identified by the music they play or regional, How is it that branch can sing and dance with different trolls when they said that the other music sounds awful to the other trolls? but branch seems not to give a F***?
Lol, I had absolutely no idea a second one was even ever thought about, let alone made. If not for the fact that I was watching the video, I almost could've believed it wasn't real. I had assumed it must've gotten barely any advertising, but I guess I just never saw any.
I thought anyone who wants movie theaters as an industry knew about this. Who knows if this movie will actually be the true beginning of the end of movie theaters
Yeah, but I think that can be attributed to the ol' 'Rona. It was the biggest movie to come out, because it was the only movie to come out. This was released when everything was closed! For parents, it was a choice between Moana/Frozen 2 for the 30th time in a row, or this.
Also, at the end, when she says, “I love you too” she doesn’t say, “And I mean it” and they don’t kiss. So we’re stuck guessing whether or not he is her love interest or if she just said that because she likes everyone 🤷🏿♀️
WAIT A MINUTE! At the beginning of the first movie, the trolls escaped captivity and found a new home. No one was carrying around the big harp thing. Nobody had it in the crowd during the escape.
Also, did the Burgens also chomp on the other troll variants or only the pop trolls? And where the hell are they while all that stuff with Barb was going on?!
But the movie is an allegory for white colonialism and cultural appropriation, so really, Pop is the main antagonist and Rock is trying to unite everybody...by forcing them to assimilate. So Pop is colonists and Rock is Republicans and they're both demonstrably and historically bad guys.
To be fully honest this was probably one of the funniest CinemaSins videos I've seen in a long time thank you for making me laugh you guys are awesome.

This movie is literally just "metal elitist take over the world" and "the ultimate power cord", while extremely well animated and sounding pretty good, isn't a power chord. The funny thing is that punks and metal heads are pretty much the exact opposite of what they are portrayed as in this movie Edit: hey thanks for all the likes, nice too see that people agree
As a baby punker (I'm starting to get into alt and punk culture), yeah this is true, a majority of people that are metalhead, alt or punk fans are more than likely to be some of the sweetest people you know, and if anything, it's the people that like pop or popular songs on your local radio that have been cunts towards me. The truth is Barb was the good guy. She tried to unite the entire trolls world for the first time since it split using the thing she knew best-rock. Which fittingly is the most diverse genre of music. Animated villain/hero of the year.
@@chocotoasties2671 exactly almost anything can be called rock nowadays. From synthesizers to horns to songs made on sound boards to orchestras to only vocal. If it doesn’t quite fit another genre perfectly, it becomes rock. Explain to me how Coldplay, 21 Pilots, The Kinks, CCR, The Ramones, Green Day, Sheryl Crow, Metallica, Tom Petty, David Bowie, Queen, Dagonforce, and Smash Mouth all fit under the same category-rock. In the movie Barb even does a rock version of classical music. Name a more diverse genre. No other genre has as many different sounds and instruments and styles.
@@ToofKilla Bro, have you ever heard of subgenres before? I'll give you some examples like idk, punk rock, emo, alt/indie, hard rock, stadium rock, funk, rap rock, grunge, Britpop, rock and roll, latin, christian rock, riot girl, new wave, and metal(with it's own many separate subgenres)
I watched this movie before the final countdown to 2021 with my parents because my mom wanted to watch a movie about Trolls. Not even two minutes in, she reconsidered her decision, but I insisted that we go through with it. After seeing the movie, I can state with certainty that CinemaSins missed about 80% of the sins this movie committed. And GOD DAMN is it a trip…
As a metal head this movie makes me sad. Metal heads are the kindest and chilliest people I know. You don’t even have to like the same bands but you still have a familial connection. “Metal is for everyone Stronger than the law Our band of steel eternally A union of the strong…” -freedom call
@Sam In fact, here’s a stereotype, people who like rap usually have massive egos and are hotheaded fools. They are also usually very dumb and do not consider school to be important. I didn’t say that, 30 thousand people on reddit did. I do agree with it though.
@Sam You should have said black metal the first time then, instead of categorizing a sub genre into an entire genre. Nothing sounds better because it’s literally a fact that metal and rock get your heart rate higher than any other genre, you can’t “it sounds better” anything when that is a scientific fact. All those hip hop artists stole things from rockers and such. Riffs, rhythms, lyrics, don’t even try defending them.

First: Shouldn't Pop be the bad trolls here? Seeing as Pop music is a plague? Second: The Rock Trolls stole their Dethkopters from Deathclock Third: This movie only exists because somebody took the generic fantasy monster "Rock Troll" a little too out of context
@Harry the Irish lad I grew up with 'old' Disney movies and found this movie was actually not to bad. It has its problems but it is a pretty serviceable movie.
Reason why I hate this movie: After all these times people still think rock is evil and that rock musicians all have crazy make ups and do crazy things. P.S. Evil as in being portrayed as antagonists. Not that they are bad guys
The very first time I saw the trailer and ever since I have thought this. For all the styles of music, they rely on stupid and overblown stereotypes. I'm not trying to whine and say that any sane person believes them-but these are kids movies. Why is rock n roll evil, dark, and scary? I'm pretty sure most adults enjoy it?
@Max Selcow Well they did say they are hard rock trolls so I assume they are going for that earley motley crue/ kiss/ emo look cuz for some reason many people think that's how rock artists look like and all they do is play crazy shit. I am not saying I don't like those things because I grew up listening to emo and got introduced to classic rock bands because of that. However, portraying rock with that is just unacceptable in my opinion. Also now kids are going to hate rock/metal because of this movie
I haven't seen this movie. But I didn't get the impression that Rock was supposed to be evil, just the most aggressive which sort of kind of makes sense. It's like in Avatar the Fire nation was the evil nation, but Fire itself wasn't evil just the Lord of the nation made it that way.

It exists because Trolls is to Dreamworks what Frozen is to Disney and Minions is to Illumination.
@Brandon Caulkins u mean like when they remake a classic film that we don’t need
The fact that the pop trolls didn’t know about the other genders of music but still sings gangnam style without knowing its a kpop song-

Damn ikr
Just get the hell on with it barb!
I mean Branch spent like an entire 2 decades hating music or fun, so at this point he probably doesn’t care anymore
The idea where branch vipes with every music would have been a nice plot
Maybe Branch just likes all kinds of music
"Most of you probably didn't even realize this movie existed"
That's a lie. The product advertising was just as bad if not nearly as bad as Minions.
Lol, I had absolutely no idea a second one was even ever thought about, let alone made. If not for the fact that I was watching the video, I almost could've believed it wasn't real. I had assumed it must've gotten barely any advertising, but I guess I just never saw any.
I work at Barnes and Noble and we had a full display in our toys/games section for this damn movie

@@nolosuperstes1842 I agree. I hate the first one. I will never watch this movie.
I disagree with you all... the worst sin was for the concept and the idea of this actually existing being written, animated, and voice acted
Yeah, but I think that can be attributed to the ol' 'Rona. It was the biggest movie to come out, because it was the only movie to come out. This was released when everything was closed! For parents, it was a choice between Moana/Frozen 2 for the 30th time in a row, or this.
I still find it hilarious how they got amazing artists to sing in this movie.
Im surprised that he did not metion the side story of branch struggling to confess his love to poppy
Also, at the end, when she says, “I love you too” she doesn’t say, “And I mean it” and they don’t kiss. So we’re stuck guessing whether or not he is her love interest or if she just said that because she likes everyone 🤷🏿♀️

Having rock as the main antagonist makes like, no sense. Punk is supposed to be accepting
I mean, punk is pretty much a sub-genre of rock. Sure it's got it's own sub-genres but it still pretty directly derivative from rock.
But I feel like if you make any type of music the Antagonist there will always be someone mentioning it and or being offended ' -- '
Yeah
But the movie is an allegory for white colonialism and cultural appropriation, so really, Pop is the main antagonist and Rock is trying to unite everybody...by forcing them to assimilate. So Pop is colonists and Rock is Republicans and they're both demonstrably and historically bad guys.
@@jaebee1121 colonialism I get, but I don’t think it went as far as Republicans and Democrats

i Know! Finally someone who actually gets me
I think the term is Anti-Hero. But I'm not sure...
Rock really isn't the most diverse. Classical and Jazz are the genres that birthed it
@@chocotoasties2671 exactly almost anything can be called rock nowadays.

As a metal head this movie makes me sad. Metal heads are the kindest and chilliest people I know. You don’t even have to like the same bands but you still have a familial connection. “Metal is for everyone
Stronger than the law
Our band of steel eternally
A union of the strong…” -freedom call
Hell yea brotherhood of steel 🤘🤘
@Sam says the least chill person here loll
@Sam In fact, here’s a stereotype, people who like rap usually have massive egos and are hotheaded fools. They are also usually very dumb and do not consider school to be important. I didn’t say that, 30 thousand people on reddit did. I do agree with it though.
@Sam Metal is not a sub genre.

13:41 it's always so cursed yet so incredible To hear ozzy with an inteligible voice
The saddest thing is that they thought it was okay to use Russian Roulette (one of the greatest songs of all times) in a film like this
Reason why I hate this movie:
After all these times people still think rock is evil and that rock musicians all have crazy make ups and do crazy things.
Idk why people always stereotype rock music as an evil music, it has different genres of rock music, Christian rock, hard rock, alternate, punk.
Its just music
"Your music [classical] doesn't even have wordsss"
