This movie really helped me understand more about toxic positivity. Branch was actually smart because he knew being loud and obnoxious attracts the Bergens. Poppy basically bullied him and got all her friends to join in when Branch was literally just trying to protect himself and his species.

Poppy telling Branch to be happy is the equivalent of Joy shaming Sadness for trying to help Rylie express her emotions healthily in inside out
How can you just say be happy and like “EUEGSH DEPRESSION IS SOLVED!!!” Branch is literally probably the most relatable and sensible character in this whole movie. And I just realized how messed up hug time actually seems
Yeah now that I think about it Branch is legit forced into hugging people while he may not consent to it I personally am okay with characters being hugged as long as both sides are comfortable wich Branch clearly isn’t.

10:32 Earlier CinemaSins said that if Gristle could walk, talk, and ride a trike at under a year old, the Bergens should be dead by the time they’re 25. By that logic, (let’s say, for an estimate, Bergens age at about 4 times the rate of the average human) King What’s-His-Face would’ve been (around) 100 years old in Bergen years. If about 20 years have passed, that would make Gristle around 80 in Bergen years, so he technically isn’t under 21. But this raises several questions about why Gristle still looks so young and how Bergens age in general, so I think I made more questions for myself than the movie did. Still food for thought, though.

So plot-wise, this film is basically Attack on Titan for kids!
Think about it: There are these humanoid creatures that are pushed to near extinction by creatures that are basically giant versions of them who eat them; the smaller humanoids proceed to withdraw to a walled off area where they can't be found by the giant creatures. Years later one giant creature finds them, therefore putting the small creatures back on the menu for the giants. The small creatures also grapple onto things and fly around as a method of defence against the giants.

The cage containing the Troll Tree clearly had bars wide enough to walk right out, if the trolls were willing to do a little climbing.
Where did baby Poppy get that cowbell from when it’s the size of her entire body (excluding the hair)?
When Poppy dresses up as a delivery basket, her arms suddenly extend.
Poppy is depressed for at least 2 minutes before she’s all fine and dandy again because of singing.
I didn't see this movie because it looked extremely stupid and I had a feeling I would cringe really badly if I saw it. This video only proved my point.

I saw the movie. in my opinion it wasn't that bad. cliche yes. but animation was nice.
Honestly, videos like this are done based on another's point of view and thus has bias to it. In order to understand a movie and develop your own thoughts, you need to watch it yourself and if possible before another person's opinion gives you a bias opinion of it.
It really wasn't that bad, I thought the same and thought this movie was going to utter garbage; just pure garbage forced down my throat, but it wasn't. It wasn't pure ambrosia or anything, but it could have been worse.
It could have been like the emoji movie that is coming out.

This movie may have had a fart joke, but it was not over done to the point of shoving it down out throats; if you watched the movie, then it would be simple logic.
Whereas the emoji movie, what was in the first joke and one of the first emoji's to be shown?
It was the poop emoji. If you think farting glitter a couple times is the lowest brow joke ever, then emoji movie will prove you wrong.

Once you experience something you still have the memory even if it's vague and with adults like the king having years of eating trolls his face would know when to look happy about their day of being happy. 12:11 - "Singing killed my grandma" could actually be the reason why the trolls know so many 80s songs, and even 60s songs such as Sound of silence. Even though these trolls may've been born after the time those songs came out, they know them because they've been passed down through the generations. I think it shows here that his grandma sang Total eclipse of her the heart, who passed the song to his mom who passed it down to him.
8:32 and 12:21 - Someone knowing dark or deppressing songs doesn't automatically make them unhappy, they can still be happy in spite of knowing those songs exist. The trolls know that the miserable bergens exist but they're still happy. Also, they may've just liked those songs because they like the melodies and rhythm and don't think about or care what the lyrics actually mean. And also, like I said, those songs were passed down to them through the generations.
