    You think maybe once the next float package release happens, maybe do a tuning video/series? :D

      You trying to get ALLL the way down the rabbit hole, huh? I like the sound of that

    ***IMPORTANT NOTE***
    If you have previously installed a float package, you will have to disable that before running motor setup. Go to Float Config > Specs

    Help please. Adv pro was working for months. Tried to use vesc app to upgrade to refloat. Followed the was able to install it... But sadly I also did the wiki motor set up and imu set up. I must have adjusted some parameters that I shouldn't have. Now I can't get the board to work. I've tried going through the wiki setup well over a half dozen times and also tried installing refloat the same amount of times. How do I start from square one to reset everything and get the board to work again?

    Thanks for filming this! On the motor values, where do you get them from? I'm purchasing a SF2, so I assume they'll come with it from fungineers?

      I’m waiting on my SF2 also and going in blind. I need to go do some reading on PEV.dev

    Do you have listed the specs of this board which battery which motor etc? So we can know if we can follow your values or not?

    Total newb question: are these steps necessary before installing the float package?
    What happens if we just install version 6 without these initial steps?

    • @onedadonewheel
      @onedadonewheel  Год назад +1

      All these initial steps will teach the controller how to treat your motor, and calibrate the IMU (the chip that can tell how the board is tilting and turning). Without these steps, nothing will work right. It is just part of the initial setup, harmonizing all of the parts you used to make your own build. If you start with the float package first, you will have to go into the Float Config settings and "disable float package" before doing motor setup.

      Thank you for the reply! Also thank you for the video! I realized that this was necessary after watching your beginner Vesc videos. Sorry for the newbie question.
      I noticed you changed from an 84v (20s) battery to a 75v (18s) could you educate me as to why you decided this!? Thank you for your time!

      @@hungwensunsure! So the 84v pack I had was made of the smaller cells with a lower current limit. In order for me to accelerate and climb the way I needed for racing, I needed a battery with more current to give me torque and range. I’m faster with a torque pack (75 volt, bigger batteries, p42a) than this CBCSO (84v) pack that was made from the 30q battery. It’s good to have different boards for different purposes. I’m about to build a street board with WTF’s, an 84V speed pack and a Little FOCer. The cells in this one are higher quality and can output three times the current at the same size, so it will feel like a true 84V battery.

      @@onedadonewheel Thank you so much for replying. This helps me so much! I am in the process of converting to VESC. I've been having some difficulty deciding which battery to get! I'm torn between theboardgarage's 84v vs the 75v. I mainly ride streets and I think the 84v should be sufficient(also because it fits in the stock battery box) but the 75v with the extra range seems like a no brainer and I struggle to decide. What's your reasoning for the 84v street board. Thanks again!

      @@hungwensun I went with that speed pack so I could have a lighter weight trick board. The range is between XR and GT, but I wanted stock box size and weight with a snappy battery for racing other boards, while my voltage is still high. Since I already have a torque pack in another board, and I am building a board with an even bigger battery, I didn’t need another range board.

    Could not read firmware version. Make sure that the selected port really belongs to the VESC. If you are using UART, make sure that the port is enabled, connected correctly (rx to tx and tx to rx) and uses the correct baudrate
