I read somewhere that Williams was in 5 episodes while Pernell Roberts hemmed and hawed on staying or quitting the show. I think that Williams brings a lot more life into his role as 'Will Cartwright' than Roberts seems to put into the bland 'Adam Cartwright'. I love these old shows from my childhood. Lessons of right and wrong, honor, values etc.
I recognized the actress that played Emma right away. That's Julie Sommars. She had a very distinct voice. She was in some Disney movies in the 1960s and 1970s. She was also in some other shows. She was in "The Love Bug in Monte Carlo" with Dean Jones.
A memorable TV Show. And one of the most recognizable theme songs.
