I would do a franchise where an elephant brings you the food from the kitchen, big back allows for a ton of food, and he can differentiate each dish through smell. to take each guest to their table, I would hire a sifaka lemur for familiarity and flair. to take their orders, I would use a parrot to relay them back to the chef. tip the elephant please.

The comment about the rail tie brain injury resonated. My dad had a stroke about 3 1/2 years ago. He's recovered really well, considering how awful it was for the first week or so. Forrest is right about the excessive AC in the summer and heating in the winter in parts of the Midwest. Both unnecessary and unhealthy. I was living in a wall tent for two years and one summer got sick after spending 3 days in a hotel for a conference in July. The contrast of living in 90s outside to 60oF for the weekend shocked my system. Experienced headaches, nausea, cold shakes, and vomiting when i got back outside after the 3 days. Your blood naturally thins in the summer and thickens in the winter, but constant changes in temp has to throw things out of wack.

He had to have emergency brain surgery to remove the pieces of bone that went into his brain. He made a full recovery except now he really lacks empathy. It was 5 years ago, we have been together almost 20 years so I really see the full effects and it is a struggle. But I am just glad he had very skilled drs and icu staff so he could survive. There was a guy who stepped on one while wading across the mouth of the salt marsh, and it nipped his foot. The cut was so small that he declined the band aid I offered him. For those who haven’t been to FL, the Indian “River” is part of the Intercoastal Water way that’s connected directly to the Atlantic Ocean via dozens of inlets. Salinities range from brackish to full strength seawater depending on location and tidal cycle.

the comment about the railway worker was a but understated, his name was phineas gage and it was a tamping spike, which was flat on one side and had a slow taper towards the tip, it wasnt this thin little rod, it was 3ft long and an inch and a half in diameter, or about a meter long and 3.8cm in diameter which just a little smaller than the hole in a roll of paper towels

We had the McPizza in Canada. I remember, my brother and I would only want the pizza. It go to the point that we stopped going to McDonald's because my parent were so sick of waiting for the pizzas with two kids in the backseat.

I cried my eyes out with the raccoons in Guardians of the Galaxy. Never hold back. Even if it’s made up.. it’s the feeling that somewhere in the world at some point there are or were animals tortured or hurt. Great pod guys. Glad I went down a Forrest rabbit hole and found you guys.

I just like to point out LFG is also a term used by people who play video games “looking for group”. When your looking for people to play with on a mmo

That lake has always been filthy. How a shark could survive there is beyond me.

Lake Merritt is connected to the bay. The water is brackish with saltier water toward the bayside. Leopard sharks probably congregate in or near that area frequently

That lake is directly connected by a short canal to the larger Bay Area and the ocean so I wouldn’t be too surprised to find a shark in there.
