    I'm from manitoba where we have alot of polar bears up north, I think the sole reason there isn't more deaths from them is the precautions taken . Like metal enclosed walkways , large lifted trucks and a by law that says your not allowed to lock your car doors or house doors incase someone is being hunted by a bear . I also suspect the number of fatalities is a bit higher in the indigenous communities . I'm only truly scared of two animals polars and tigers because no matter the tools we have it might not matter to those two , they don't have to decide if we're food like a grizzly, we been on the menu . And there's other animals that are extremely intimidating that I wouldn't mess with but those two live rent free in my nightmares lol

    Dude! Milo and Otis was one of my favourite movies as a kid. In my twenties a roommate bought the DVD so we rewatched it.
    Watching that as an adult is entirely different - you start noticing all the horrible things they did to those animals to get footage. They threw a cat off a cliff, stuck a batch of kittens inside a chest of drawers that a bear was ripping apart, had a snake striking at a dog. And then the credits roll- there is no mention of animals not being harmed. We looked it up, it's Japanese footage that's highly questionable.

    • @jacobweaver4523
      @jacobweaver4523 Год назад +8

      It's more than questionable. It was inhumane animal torture. Multiple animals died. It's a horrible story. If you love Milo and Otis don't look up how they filmed it.
      For the record, I loved that movie. I'm not some PETA hippy. What they did to those animals was tragic.

    As a survivor and victor of a pity bill attack I can assure you a 60lb dog is no match for a 6ft 200+lb person who has a desire to live. And multiple mountain lions have been killed by humans pretty much bare handed in a fight for survival. Give the human a spear or knife and show them how to use it, then we’ll we know how that ended up.

And it’s literally only the SECOND deadly attack in both US and Alaska history so calm down. It’s their podcast.. people do their best to get all the facts and research out there if some things falls thru the cracks it’s not necessarily for nefarious reasons. Calm ur mind. Seriously. At 6 ft, 240. Juiced to the gills on gear and HGH, I lost a fight in the water with a Canadian Goose. I jumped of the front of a deck boat, after hours of libations and debauchery, to snatch a Goose by the neck in an attempt to pull it underwater with me and drown it. It was a blur of feathers, wings, beak, and sharp ass Goose feet as the beast rocketed to the surface with my 240 pounds attempting to hold it 12 ft under water. When we breached the surface, entwined in a life or death struggle for the ages, the savage Goose attempted to tear chunks out of my face while flogging me with its powerful wings....instruments of death. They created a scene similar to a Blackhawk helicopter creating a dramatic response to the waters surface with its rotor wash. After several seconds of life and death struggle, I realized that I, not the avian beast, was the one soon to be drowned. I released the savage, winged, assassin and dove as deep as my lungs would allow. I narrowly escaped death that frightful day 20 years ago.....

    I don't worry about bears and mountain lions or anything else for that matter. Sasquatch keeps them away. I'm a Bigfooter and spent years camping outside from Alaska to Maine and Texas to North Dakota. Bears, lol, Even in Alaska they run from me. Woo isn't mainly accepted or considered a possibility that exists. Yes, I've hunted for years in many states. Never filled my deer, elk, and bear tags. No bear ever came closer than 100+ yards from my camp in Alaska. Despite seeing them in the area. One night I chased a 500 lb big ol black bear. I went about a 1/4 mile and he just kept waking away. Then I ran towards it and it ran from me. Running up into the trees and up Mt. Marathon in Seward.

    You have to redesign waste removal and put aside space for composting. The bird, cat, snake system is effective if you concentrate where the rats have to go for resources.

    Still a horrific tragedy though, my heart goes out to the family of the victims as well as the entire community!!!

    Don’t think they understand just how deadly a croc is - those things have been around since the dinosaurs they are the best ambush predator of all time… I live in Australia and visited Darwin. When I arrived was told the story of 3 locals standing in 1 foot/30cm of water, and a croc got one of them.
    I got to meet the owner of crocidilous park Graham and he took me out to collect croc eggs in the wild by helicopter. Scariest and craziest thing I’ve ever done.

    • @eladrio2311
      @eladrio2311 Год назад

      Their reasoning was that the croc could only get you in the water. But the tiger and the bear could get you on land and also chase you on water

    • @huskiefan8950
      @huskiefan8950 Год назад

      @@eladrio2311'm sure I've heard that Crocs can move fast enough to catch up to a human on foot on land, though if you have the room and the focus to run in zig zag or take cover, you should be able to give em the slip. 😂

    Polar Bears have been observed and clocked by biologists and trackers to be able to run for over 30-40 miles in a 18-24 hr period, of course naturally they take short stints of rest in between. I don't know what the average speed is though but that's a long fucking distance in short time haha
