The BFR is actually short for Big Frame Revolver, though honestly, given how absurd the production of that thing was, they should've gone with the alternative.
It's also referred to as the "Biggest, Finest Revolver" on their website. They really like putting emphasis on how big it is. It also shows 45 LC and .410 as an option and it would be cool to see a shotgun as a handgun option.
Some weapons you didn't cover but do exist as mods. Gauss Pistol: there's a port of FO76 Gauss weapons on gunnetwork, including the gauss pistol. Granted it has been ripped from that game, so I don't think you can cover it..idk maybe actually. Microwave emitter: it's in the point lookout mod for fallout 4 pulse gun: there's a mod on nexus called the LAER which is basically the pulse gun and if you add the pistol grip.
The fallout one c96 Mauser animation is correct. The original models did indeed load from the top via stripper clips but later models featured selector switches for full auto and detachable magazines that were inserted in the bottom of the gun foward of the trigger guard.

Dude I had no idea that the original pistols were so well thought out, they not only had such unique story’s and history but they’re all so grounded and realistic, wish the newer games were more like this.
I'm pretty sure that it has the same pistols we've seen already. So far I've only seen Homemade Pistol, Beretta and Desert Eagle in there, and Homemade Pistol is basically a pipegun.

I understand the concern for quality content, but fnv had 11 hand guns. Compared to 8 from 11, that isn’t as bad. And TBF I’m only counting the ranger sequoia as a seperate weapon out of respect since it’s just a hunting revolver without a scope. That isn’t bad. Considering you can take any weapon you want in F4 and make it almost any version of its base form to fit your desires.

I think the 12mm pistol loading into the grip looks bad and there's no physical way for the rounds to make it to the chamber, I prefer the original design from fallout 1 and 2

I love adding lorefriendly weapons to my game. However, the truth is that most of them end up hanging on a wall, or forgotten somewhere in my load list.
The .44 Magnum is technically in Fallout 4 as the .44 Pistol, though at that point, you should really just use the 44 Pistol Realistic Sound and Damage mod by STheGamer, and maybe if you want a better weapon damage system in general, then also possibly combine it with the True Damage mod by eclix so that the damage is attached to the ammo type rather than the gun itself.
Yeah, the detachable mags are honestly more common in video games than the stripper clips. The detachable mag version shows up in things like COD; you only really see the one with the fixed mag in games like Battlefield or Resident Evil and even then, Battlefield has both. Honestly I think Fallout's weapon customization system is versatile enough for both: I should be able to start out with the C.96 and upgrade it into one of the carbine or machine pistol variants.

While the Plasma Defender from New Vegas does appear to be a modern take on the Glock 86, it's never actually explicitly stated to be such and I would argue that the differences in design are enough to justify it as its own weapon. That said, it's still not actually available in FO4, but you know. I can dream...

Is there a mod on ps4 that removes the stolen item mechanic so that it stops screwing up the fact that settlers attack you out of the blue for taking stolen power armor from some RANGERS. And some mod so that the settlers can always use power armor without taking it off.
I broke the lore by installing a lot of non lore mods in Skyrim and had fun with it. Somehow, it doesn't work in fallout 4. I mean, installing tactical weapons and outfit from Call of Duty or real life modern army doesn't get all the fun i used to have back in skyrim. Ever since I installed all lore weapons and wore ugly looking leather and metal armour, it made me play Fallout 4 with a full smile on my face.
I feel like a traitor saying this in front of the modding community but in my opinion, all the fan mods of the classic 10 mm pistol from the original to fall games, not my cup of tea. So to satisfy my thirst for a classic 10 mm pistol I downloaded the creation club 10 mm. (feel free to over-exaggerate your disgust)

The recharger pistol is amazing, and an absolute necessity in the Mojave. Keep it on your hip and you can conserve ammo for your more powerful weapons.
But they’re all retro m4s and m16s. When you bring in models and animations from call of duty that look ridiculously tactical for a fallout game, that ruins it.

You can get the Wattz 1000 Pistol from Wattz Electronics Weaponry mod from Nexus alongside the Classic Wattz 2000 Laser Rifle

Because that's a rifle round, not a pistol round. Far Cry 5 made the same mistake by assuming .50 AE is the same as .50 BMG.

People always complain about people modding in “tacticool” guns, and while I do get that, M16s and M4s do canonically exist.
SREP remains my favorite weapon mod, and the Colt 6520 is second.
