Très belle musique. Une pensée pour Ali. L'espoir et le plaisir continuent avec vieux. Mes respects ❤❤❤ de Tunisie.

À besançon ce 29 Mars @@alyaais8929
Seems to me that everybody in our world should listen to this music and just chill out . . .
I saw him and his band live when he opened for Khruangbin on their recent Space Walk tour. The experience in-person was hypnotic, the whole crowd was in a deep groove. That drum-type instrument (Larry called it a kalabash? - excuse my ignorance on the name) kicks out deep bass when amped and really punches you in the chest. Highly recommended if you get a chance to see him. Also, check out that collab album with Khruangbin - good stuff.
P.S. to Larry Mizell Jr. - I've seen quite a few of your videos and you host a good show. Keep up the good work!
kalabash is a plant/seed grown in Africa, they dry it in the sun & use it as an instrument, checkout the KORA, part of it is from a huge kalabash!
@@sheilahope603 Awesome, I love learning interesting new tidbits! Thanks!
@@VoxDaddy If you listen to SONA JOBARTEH, you will discover wonderful african music sounds, and alot of info, regarding how the Kora instrument is made & played, check her bbc 60 minutes, she has created music accadamies in Gambia to teach hundreds of young musicians! She is an outstandigly talented musician & sucha giving person!
Agreed. I as well was hypnotized
It’s called Calabash it’s carved out of African pumpkin,it can be use as a bowl for food, water and music.
Yeah, there you have it. Ali Farka Toure's legacy lives on!
Every time I listen to this I love the songs more.
Beautiful and an amazing back story here, thanks again to the host Larry Mizell Jr. for another amazing show!
Appreciate
You All
El alma de Ali sigue despierta!!🏜❤🎸
Love Vieux, respect for having an absolute legend on. Just saw him in Northampton MA
this sound.... just love Vieux Farka Touré;
These guys should have done the intro for "Vikings"
Ali Farka Toure + his son + spanish classical + the sitar master(Ravi Shankar) + fake throat singing in the mongolian and/or afrikaans style?
Did I miss anything? Mali. The ivory coast. Morocco. Francois. Egypt. Algeria. Tunisia. Libya. The Nile river.
What else?
Edit: I hear some american jazz as well. And perhaps even some Django Reinhardt(gypsy jazz?)...
This sound is in someways a universal language if you speak music.
Check Mathias Duplessi from Mongolia
@ Does he do that epic 2 tonality throat singing? Yeah tho. I'll check that out literally right now.
@ That is some fire music.
Ai love ali farka toure
Ali Farka Toure, bless
Saw him in Manchester last week, just unreal
Simplemente hermoso!✨ Beso al corazón🫀
Such a lovely discovery! Beautiful.

Paix à ton âme Boureima Ali TOURÉ 🇲🇱 😭
❤Vie fakatoute❤ ta musique me faire réveiller❤
Fantastic.
Saw him last weekend, such insane talent from both him and his father.
Amazing music!
Absolutely lovely and fills your soul!
Incredible, just saw him play at Austin Psych Fest!
Very nice
The mother of the world renowned bassist Victor Wooten said something like: "The world has many great musicians. What the world needs is more good people."
That idea seems to be relevant. Also, this music is awesome.
absolutely beautiful
Saw this guy live a few weeks ago, pretty dope
So beautiful ❤
I wish you had a translator for the interview, to let the artist express himself more freely in his language, or even french perhaps. Thanks for the show!
was thinking the exact same
He's beautiful
Guitare t’appartient champion ❤
Vieux harga sê dê à ma dangaï a ma fur yêrsê ha-nga 👂
don't understand the lyrics, but i still love it.
Just like the father ❤
What a trip!
🙏🙏🙏
wow
Oh my, he has never resolved the sequence in the first track...that's the difference between the European and African music. Very nice guitar sound.
what do you mean?
@@WeraroaWizard that the harmony has not been resolved
Beautiful music! Saw him live in Colorado a month ago. Wondering about the calabash and shakers. Does anyone know the shakers that are used? They don't look traditional...LP egg shakers?
This is great :)
@13:45 🔥🔥🔥
Душевно!
Mali psychedelic rock !
🔥
Tu es digne de ton pere courage
Does anyone know what tuning his guitar is in?
Ali Hala is in Open G. Diarabi is in standard (just Am to Em)
Awesome performance. Why is it that most bass players are lanky…? Lol. With the kinds of sounds I’m hearing, I’m grateful to God for the gift of hearing❤
i wouldnt call this guy lanky at all
@@mtrisi perhaps you are a slim person…?
Ovo nije običan gitarista, ovaj čovek je zmaj.
Copado
Why it's good to get some charts or practice the songs first when you get invited to play bass for a legend.
the guy on bass is just gonna play A...that is funny as shit
Generation Y overshadowed the normal everything
