The guys a legend. We in New Zealand are lucky enough to be able to get things direct from Hmahli, ive been using the resin reactors and a few of the guys here have the earlier sumps. Amazing products!
Hey Sam, I don’t have your email or contact information. So I am posting a question on lighting here. Currently I am running Kessils A360x on my Cade 1800s2, SPS wall to wall. I am getting growth but don’t have the color pop. Also corrals get greenish. A fellow reefer advise me to change the lights as Kessils don’t have UV spectrum. I am thinking of going with the new Radion G6 xr30 or xr15 blues. Any advise and number of Radions. Thanks
Hey there, I will be setting up a 600 litre reef tank (160 gallons US). So, I plan to use 2 boxes (160 pieces total) of Maxpect bio balls. Do you think that will be enough for a 160 gallon tank? Also instead of adding bacteria, I plan to put these bags of bio media into my cousin’s tank’s sump and keep it there for a month or two before I set up my tank. His tank is a few years old. So um that way I can get a variety of bacteria from his tank and also microorganisms like copepods and amphipods. What are the Chances I can get pests as well? Like bristle works, aptasia, etc. do you think they will be a problem in a sterile tank? Also how can I get all these bacteria to colonise my bio media and also the copepods to stay in it without getting any of the pests into my tank? Is that possible? Please let me know! Also is this a good idea? What do you think? Thank you in advance!
@@ParkersReef Ohk. Will the pods and other microorganisms survive the cycle? Also the bacteria will eventually find its way up to the main display tank right?

As nice of work he does and his claim about shipping world-wide is not quite so in reality. I sent him an email a few months ago about making a sump for myself. Never heard back. And I am in Canada.
@@ParkersReef It is possible but the added cost of duty and shipping to northern Canada makes it prohibitive. I ended up going with a Trigger PLATINUM39 sump. Inferior to Hmali but was available and at my door in 2 weeks.

I’d keep the kessil and add the radion. The combo of both will look amazing
But also, if corals are turning green - check your iron levels

yeah that will work just fine. Little chance of pests, aptasia are always a risk if he has many - but I wouldn't stress too much

The bacteria will colonise everywhere. The pods and other items may or may not survive the cycle though

yeah as mentioned in the video, Eric is pretty flat out at the moment! Is it possible to get BRS stock in Canada?
