Yooo Phillip. Yes indeed the price is a roadblock for many. Heard of some student pricing discount but unless you're really into it, some people just look for other good alternatives. Which is fine, but yeah I'm trapped in the Adobe ecosystem :D lol
Yeap you can. Pencil2D is more for hand drawn style of animation. Good to practice and not too hard to use. If you want to add voice or other effects though you may need other software like Adobe Animate or Opentoonz. Depending on your animation style.
Thanks friend. Adobe Animate isn’t free there’s a subscription to it but you can free trial it. Have to download the Adobe Creative Cloud to install Animate. A free to use alternative is Opentoonz or Powtoon. Can try them out :>
Heyya Vianne, for Procreate I typically export the file to Google Drive so I can download it on my Mac or PC. Then from Illustrator I create my tracing and colouring for it. After that it’s just copy pasting into Animate from Illustrator (easy Adobe) and then I fine tune if needed. Google drive for the exporting process from Procreate. Most convenient for me :)
