After the 1944 New York City La Guardia Marijuana Report refuting marijuana causing violence at all, Anslinger changed his tune before Congress by 1948, when he told Congress that he no longer thought marijuana violence-causing, but "a much more dangerous drug than America than that." He testified that "Marijuana causes its users to become so peaceful and pacifistic that in the future American boys will not want to fight in our wars." Anslinger also warned Congress that "The Communists could use marijuana to sap our will to fight." This represents a reversal of the reasoning which originally produced marijuana's illegalization in this country in 1937. Anslinger retired in 1961. (Omni Magazine, Sept. 1982)

@@user-qn3uh3er2v haha even worse
Ironically, Xanax and all benzos are FAR FAR worse than marijuana. Even coming off a low, doctor prescribed dose of Xanax can be absolute hell on earth. When going through it you would happily accept death instead. Actually the withdrawal can kill you.
Take it off the list
Legalize it and remove it from drug test. It needs to be socially acceptable like alcohol and tobacco, especially since it's far safer.
this should have happened 15 years ago. Nobody deserves credit for this. Better late than never I guess

Long over due.
WHEN?
How many steps?
Come on america its been legal in Canada for years now its not to scary, you can do it 😆😆😆
have you seen Canada lately?
Canada doesn't count.
@@dirtbeard108I can stand before God and tell you any problems with Canada are not even remotely a result of cannabis being legalized, and that there's a good 20% of issues with the prison system of the US (at least) that are a result of cannabis being pointlessly criminalized by pearl clutching witch hunters.
@@dirtbeard108 Weed isn't it's problem lol.
@@dirtbeard108 Don’t blame Marijuana for Justin Arabian Nights Trudeau 😂
Unless it's legalized on a Federal level ... it's a waste of time even taking about it.
Biden already pardoned simple posession. So unless you are not a dealer you should be fine (on a federal level)
Nah rescheduling is a huge step forward
This is massive. Watch the market. You'll see. Obviously you don't own stocks yet.... Now's the time! HURRY! tip: MSOS buy and HOLD!
Nope this is a huge step forward, when in effect it automatically opens medicinal use across 50 states along with research allowed to further study medicinal use
You piss on me and call it rain.
I did not even know this was possible to reschedule a substance
Smoking daily WITHOUT the government 😂😂😂
Where's the apology for the years of persecution and lies?
Biden actualy pardoned everybody for posession.....
Y’all complain about everything!
This just in. Old, out of touch politicians proive they are old and out of touch.
Should have happened in the 80’s …alcohol is a way more destructive way for Americans to relax …..
Smoke weed everyday
Said another pathetic drug addict
I greet my pals with " It's not hi how are you, it's how high are you?"
Hold Up Waaaaait!
Hay hay hay hay
it's not going to do shit for truckers I've been waiting for years. DOT wants to control all we do after hours fuck them.
DOT can’t do anything nor your job if it’s reclassified as a III. You would just need a prescription and that’s easy to get
It'll hurt them when nobody wants to drive.
When is Woodstock happening?
It’s insane that it’s not legal to conduct scientific studies on common substances
It’s about time!
It’s not enough. Should be legal across the board
This is still an injustice
When most of the states have already dealt with this problem seems a little too little too late. But in other news what other documents dropped today?
Fact Check: cocaine is schedule II (it has medical applications)
Right.
I always mix it in myself cause Im always trying to make America Great again type of guy
Should be removed from drug testing
Next thing you know they’ll send billions of pounds of weed to foreign nations as aid for PTSD
Virtually all stocks and bonds were printed on hemp paper until the 1950s. (Jeffries Bank Note Company, Los Angeles, CA).
It's about time
Reschedule tobacco as Schedule I
Tobacco, alcohol & automatic firearms
@@missionman1914No, No, and No...I like all 3 thank you
Need to
❤i know a lot of veterans with PTSD like me who hope this is true ….can’t even get proper pain management 😢
We should be able to by it🌴 at a super market 🌬 👍 🇺🇸
Congratz for this sensible decision 👍
, this has been a bait and switch move in both parties playbook for as long as time, nothing I say again NOTHING ever comes of it, wake up don’t be sheep
theres been so many people put in prison for years over weed like the damage is already done the fact its not legal yet is a slap in the face
We don't understand plants and animals how can we think we know what's best for humanity . All about Greed and Grants
This will still send you to jail without a prescription.
Nope.
I’ve been studying it for decades
How about cannabis through VA pharmacies for veterans?
Yes! Hear here, and agreed Amen, We can all believe and expect for that, high quality with low to no cost and with reliable information and safety procedures, and assured access.
Not too long ago I had to cite multiple sources to someone who refused to believe that Service members would use marijuana because they’re too high speed. I’m like: Bitch the amount of Ex-Marines or I should just say Marines because “Once a Marine always a Marine.” That use Cannabis I’ve met is absurd and just as that motto suggests they’re never not high speed.
