I am inclined to agree with you. We now see the justice system being used as a weapon against political candidates. I have to issue a caution that if Democrats can do this to Republicans, then Republicans will be able to do the same thing to us. I think Mooch is right. We see it all the time in politics that the challenging candidate tries to attribute the state of affairs to the incumbent's actions or inactions. Like trying to say that inflation is Biden's fault - it's just not entirely true. Certainly there is a degree of responsibility, but you really can't pin situational outcomes on the individual. To try to do so will fool some of the people some of the time, but you have to calculate if it fools enough of the people at exactly the right time. That's a political strategic calculation.

It would agree with what Scaramucci is saying regarding Covid -19 and Inflation. The difference however is that President Biden is not denying inflation and or making a mockery of it and how it is negatively effecting Americans.
Whereas Trump first said Covid-19 is a Chinese hoax. Then he changed and said people should take bleach. Trump is not responsible for the out brake of Covid-19, but he certainly is responsible/accountable for how he handled it afterwards.
