Trump decided to run in February 2021. He announced his campaign before Biden's move to white house was complete. His team knew that his actions will have consequences and election interference claim is the only excuse left to escape the justice and they spent a ton of money on delay tactics.

I like that Bill Maher talks about topics that most people are afraid to discuss. He is blunt. He is direct. He is also super smart.
There's _plenty_ I disagree with Bill on. I think on some cultural things he's an old man set in his ways who doesn't realize his own lack of knowledge on certain topics. Despite that....I really like him and find him super valuable in the discourse. I don't need to agree with anyone 100% of the time to respect them. Also...Bill has a knack for speaking to conservatives such that they listen. What other liberal can do that?? Or even tries?

This is why I love Bill. And I am an right leaning libertarian/conservative type. I just love him even if I don't always have to agree with him. I get him, he gets me, and I think I enjoy co-existing with him. We represent all of America and it's nuance. After all, conservative and liberal ideas - even if competing - are equally American, inherently. We need to get back to that understanding. Even as an conservative, I see America as an progressive experiment in which it's citizens free themselves over time. I like Trump, but he's just a guy. Beyond this person, there's a lot to agree upon. We have to get back to a place where we love being Americans again, even if we have our disagreements from time to time on how best to manage our country and help our fellow citizens that we share an planet with. I just want both sides to at least have the same goal of wanting to help their fellow citizen, first and foremost, regardless if there's a debate about how to get there.

And yet everyone loved him during that time. they only started to really hate him when he bombed Syria and told the truth about it: "OIL SECURED". I disagree, my wife and I used to watch it, it was great bad TV. Never thought I was watching a future President though.
I actually like the first part of the first season. When the main goal of the show was to pit everyone against each other, it was a turn off, but this set the stage of how people treat each other today. MAGA politics became a spitting image of that show.
I agree with Bill that diversity strengths us but within reason. There are certain people we should be allowed to hate if they are toxic (engaged in unprovoked murder, kidnappings, sexual abuse, other forms of abuse, and genocide) and if they threaten the state our democracy and the basic American values we all share. I don't hate every Trump supporter unless they attack me for my beliefs and want me to accept their beliefs. I always say respect is earned but you never have to accept someone's beliefs because agreeing with everyone is people-pleasing. People who earn respect deserve kindness, love, and equal rights. People who take advantage of others without showing any form of remorse and continue to do things despite asking people to stop deserve to be treated like garbage because "you get what's coming at you" and "if the shoe fits, wear it" and "we must call a spade a spade".

Compare inner city LA with rural West Virginia and you've got a lot of messed up people stabbing each other in the back, both literally and figuratively, to get drug money. I am a centrist Democrat. I’d never vote for Trump. President Biden has done a good job as president but he has not been able to get that point across in almost four years. Is it his age? I have been a fan his forever as well as George Carlin. I am a liberal in the same sense. In otherwards I am all about the reasons to be liberal in the 1st place. Fighting for the working folks to get a better deal. That includes better pay, affordable healthcare....Preferably Medicare for all at the very least. Housing and education also have to be attainable to the majority. Education is the key to getting out of poverty and it cannot be just something that the well to do can achieve. What is going on in this country today is just complete insanity! DT would not be as popular today if it were not for the hard left whom I would not call true liberals.
