  • Relive one of the Ryder Cups greatest shots.
In the most intense of pressure and the implications surrounding his match with Fred Couples, Christy O'Connor Junior struck one of the sweetest long irons into the devilishly long and tricky 18th hole at the Belfry.
But how did he do it?

Best Ryder Cup shot of all time! Under pressure after couples booming drive, over water with a 2 iron to within 4ft, special. God bless you Christy.

I played the course yesterday with a massive paddy. He was obsessed so we all took 2iron from the plaque on the fairway where he hit that shot. I put mine pin high 8ft right and it was one of my best shots ever. How he pulled it off with the pressure is beyond me! Legend.
