I was a huge Berlin fan at the time of this US Festival and I was there. I was so proud of them , they took over that stage and had the audience in the palm of their hands. There were some incredible performances performances that day and Berlin stood way out there.
The US festival ws on Memorial weekend at Glen Helen park. Ther ws no grass just dirt! It ws super hot in the day and cold as heck at nighttime… Berlin ws great! I believ that U2 followed them. It ws a fabulous concert! David Bowie closed the show. It ws past midnight and i had school on Tuesday… it ws fabulous concert…
I was there. They were opening act. All 500,000 of us were all already trippin balls. I was 17. Nothing like it since. Times have changed. Coachella not even close….
I’m envious! I was 16 living in the Midwest. I’m not exactly sure how I became aware of Berlin, but for a while, I was trying to dress like those guys. 😂 Duran Duran too. 😂 If I could build a time machine, I’d go back!
How many views this awesome priceless concert footage has not and never will receive, proves that we are devolving within a musically delusional world.
I'm alone, sitting with my empty glass My four walls follow me through my past I was on a Paris train, I emerged in London rain And you were waiting there, swimming through apologies I remember searching for the perfect words I was hoping you might change your mind I remember a soldier sleeping next to me Riding on the Metro You wore white, smiling as you took my hand So removed, we spoke of wintertime in France Minutes passed with shallow words Years have passed and still the hurt Oh, I can see you now, smiling as I pulled away I remember the letter wrinkled in my hand "I'll love you always" filled my eyes I remember a night we walked along the Seine Riding on the Metro I remember a feeling coming over me The soldier turned, then looked away I remember hating you for loving me Riding on the Metro I'm alone, sitting with my broken glass My four walls follow me through my past I was on a Paris train, I emerged in London rain And you were waiting there, swimming through apologies, sorry I remember searching for the perfect words I was hoping you might change your mind I remember a soldier sleeping next to me Riding on the Metro
En este video la cantante parece una loca .pero se ve que con el tiempo ella mejoró mucho- tambien. la puesta en escena esta muy bien gracias.. es una capsula del tiempo que nos devora
This is a great song, but it must have been hard for those keyboard players. Looks like they really wanted to rock out, but they're keyboard players. :-)
The 80's. No better time for me. Magical decade.
May 2023. That makes it exactly 40 years ago this was performed. A remake of this song would be nostalgic.
This song will be good forever, and that performance, holy 80s.

I'm alone, sitting with my empty glass

I remember a soldier sleeping next to me
Riding on the Metro
You wore white, smiling as you took my hand
So removed, we spoke of wintertime in France
Minutes passed with shallow words
Years have passed and still the hurt
Oh, I can see you now, smiling as I pulled away
I remember the letter wrinkled in my hand
"I'll love you always" filled my eyes
I remember a night we walked along the Seine
Riding on the Metro
I remember a feeling coming over me
The soldier turned, then looked away
I remember hating you for loving me
Riding on the Metro
I'm alone, sitting with my broken glass
My four walls follow me through my past
I was on a Paris train, I emerged in London rain
And you were waiting there, swimming through apologies, sorry

This channel has comments "ON"....that's a like off the rip
See what the air looked like in LA in the 80s? This is why not to complain about smog laws.
Summer 84' Mar del tuyu
Thank you so much for posting this! What was the signal source SVHS/VHS recording? I must say amazing quality with no video artifacts . . .
Copied it from the dvd I bought. Not sure of the source they used.
Su voz en vivo

Prophet-5.
@@scorpionsblackout8290 Gracias por la informacion.
For those who think the wannabe band who calls themselves Berlin is actually Berlin, wrong! This is Berlin!
Yes it is. Even Rod is here
Is that Linwood Boomer on the drums?😂
I love this song, but I'm guessing it must have been pretty difficult to rock out as a keyboard player :-)
Ok see if anyone responds to my comment....If im not mistaken exactly at the 0:43 the drummer yells (you can see him on camera).
This is a great song, but it must have been hard for those keyboard players. Looks like they really wanted to rock out, but they're keyboard players. :-)
I wonder if there was any cocaine at this concert lol
