At the time I wasn't that familiar with their music and don't remember even being aware that they were playing there. Now, given what I know and how much I love this band, I would pay obscene amounts of money to see them. So sad that Mark is no longer with us. His music touches my soul like none other.

Unglaublich.
This music so defines a certain period in my life. I discovered them through their single and wasn't expecting how deep and majestic they actually were. I didn't know anyone else who listened to them, so I'm glad they have an audience now.

I recorded this on VHS when it was on t.v many years ago. Fortunately a friend converted it to DVD for me, so I’ve seen it a few times, but awesome that it’s now been uploaded for everyone to watch. I’m 57 now, I only really regret not seeing two bands in my time, Talk Talk are one of them. Mark Hollis was undoubtedly not only a vocal genius but a fantastic performer.
unbelievable...how I miss this...how I miss a such great band and music. It belongs to a great generation os 80's where you can find great artists and real music players. Talk Talk, Mark Hollis, were part of my youth, my playlist songs and still are. My parties at the attic...they still are amazing, because their sound and music will stay with us while we can hear them. thank you Mark for so much. you were a genius. And we are simply lucky to listen, dance and profit such a great sounds from TT band. Cheers to all fans, from Porto, Portugal! Obrigado!
Thanks for this nice gift. It is always a honour and a pleasure to hear the memorable Mark Hollis' voice and to see his humilty on the stage. Simply one of the greatest singer and musician ever seen in Britain, who rest in peace already.
Absolutely a rare gem! Favorite live last gig was so special! Love & miss Mark so still always will!........🙏rip Mark u did music the best! No one else compares to Mark!........ 👍
Talk Talk were not in my listening radar when they started, but when Gary Davis played a track from Spirit of Eden on Radio 1 whilst I was at work, (my first job after college), I was mesmerised. Went and bought the album. Spirit of Eden, Laughing Stock and Mark's solo album are three masterpieces that I never tire of listening to. I've since completed my back catalogue of their albums and have a dvd of Live at Montreaux, so I've caught up! It's such a shame that Mark died so young. I know he had departed from the music business, but he may have come back. That we will never know. I've also purchased some solo Tim Friese Green albums, which are interesting.
i was 15 that time, and God Thanks TALK TALK had been invented, with my young age i had figured that listening them on my SONY SPORT/ VOL 10 side A side B, the exceptional time i was living , almost 40 years passed and i discover this live.
What a sensitive, and sensual, singer Mark David Hollis was! For the last time performing in his home town, and he probably knew. His closest loved ones must have been there, and who knows even Caroline and Renée, somewhere in that ecstatic crowd. Awesome. Thank you very much for "sharing this film with the world" and with coming generations, indeed!
An entire orchestra of talented musicians and instruments, wrapped around a gorgeous soulful voice. So much more to Mark Hollis and this "band" than the casual 80s music admirer could ever hope to relive !
I was lucky enough to see them on this tour in 1986 at Redcar Coatham Bowl, of all places. To this day, the greatest gig I ever went to. They were just very special!
Don't wish to rub it in, I got to see them three times, not that great, they were fricking awesome. The first time was the Genesis reunion gig at Milton Keynes, not so good, but by 1985 and 86, out of this world.
Amazing how each instrument and voice cuts through so perfectly … brilliant sound balance and mixing … true artisans of sound at work here … Sculptured, emotive, elevating. No drugs needed to get TOTALLY HIGH on this performance!

As a teenager you should have not have ignored anything. You should have assessed it all, given all a good hearing, found gems and weeds.
Its always cool to be able to reassess what you may have previously not had a taste for. That seems like growth to me. We come to things in our own time. I certainly wouldn't judge someone based on what they did or didn't like as a teenager.

Completely agree! I was able to see some of the bands from that time, it would have been another highlight in my life to have seen them.
Mark Hollis was pure genius shame the music industry ridiculed and underrated shame on them, they missed a master of his trade 😢😢❤❤ r i p Mark Hollis
The sheer energy coursing through Mark as he’s singing. Amazing musicians the whole band. They were a combined creative force.
unbelievable...how I miss this...how I miss a such great band and music.
💔💔💔💔
Paul Webb is one of my favorite bassist all-time ... and I have very high standards.
Genius Mark Hollis!
Also the Band is Fantastic
My Favourite Band in the 80's
One of the most underappreciated groups ever. Glorious voice.

Pure art! Sensible and touching all the heart and soul chords. Mark come back!!! 😢
i was 15 that time, and God Thanks TALK TALK had been invented, with my young age i had figured that listening them on my SONY SPORT/ VOL 10 side A side B, the exceptional time i was living , almost 40 years passed and i discover this live.
simply brilliant... can't believe this was 1986...
Sophisticated Pop with Jazz and R&B influences plus his unique voice! Instantly recognizable ! Music that will last.
Thanks Mark!
RIP
Never ever have I been so gutted in not seeing a band live , they were incredible R.I.P Mark ❤️
SAME
I only lived up the road in Shepherds Bush so could easily have gone but didn't, also gutted. Then again I think I'd appreciate it more now.
Don't wish to rub it in, I got to see them three times, not that great, they were fricking awesome. The first time was the Genesis reunion gig at Milton Keynes, not so good, but by 1985 and 86, out of this world.
Talk talk and the smiths😢
Wow - such a beautiful comment. Merci.
Touchée par votre joli message ! Émouvant et un peu nostalgique.
Tout pareil. Merci. Il y a des voix qui manquent... Mark, Alain, Jeff... ça fait du bien de les retrouver :)
"Give it Up" is just glorious here. A clue of what was to come on those final two albums. Masterpieces both...
Unbelievable, underrated, awesome. Thank u talk talk and wonderful mark hollis for the fantastic music . It will live forever. Rip mark ❤
Spirit of Eden is my number one album of all time. Thanks for sharing this gem! You made the world a little better.
Amazing how each instrument and voice cuts through so perfectly … brilliant sound balance and mixing … true artisans of sound at work here … Sculptured, emotive, elevating.
No drugs needed to get TOTALLY HIGH on this performance!
