Dad passed early summer & apart from some wonderful memories dad was the deepest most amazing & dynamic man which was reflected in his wonderfully eclectic taste in music. TalkTalk has-been a constant throughout my life thanks to dad & I now listen to them without dad but Mark Hollis was.such a divinely gifted man I can listen & feel like dad's with me enjoying his favourite band. Miss you dad & Mark too, thank you for the music that connects so many ❤

Everytime i listen to mark Hollis i get so sad he is no longer here i still love him and the songs he sang. Its so hard to believe he had brain cancer. Doctor's told him he had only five years but managed to live 15 more years until 2019. I think they were more popular on the continent than in England Correct me if I'm wrong. Making songs is not as easy as we may think a lot of pressure. Thankyou Mark Hollis for your hard work we appreciate all of it. 😢😢😢😢😢 ❤❤❤❤❤

I echo all the plaudits for this band. Incredible musicianship. I used to do solo cover gigs and over about 40yrs learned 400 songs. Despite how much I love this band, I haven't ever dared to try cover one. For one, the chord structures are on another level and then Mark's voice is an instrument in itself. Totally inimitable.
Other people and bands have tried...they also said the same thing..they couldn't quite figure it out, a unique sound these guys had. Talk Talk had it nailed down.
Always assumed his vocals were heavily produced, manipulated back when I could only buy the albums/cds and couldn't simply find gold like this on the internet. It's a headrush to see/ hear it coming straight out of him. This band spoke to me when few others did.

Hearing the bass line in the songs is so awesome. So often it is lost in the percussion. Mark's voice is gorgeous. I danced to the extended house version od It's My Life in the early 80's and still love it!!
