For me storage is the main reason. I understand it’s a cinema camera, but i have 3 cinema cameras from canon and all of them give a lot of options on format and bits per second. I like to have the option of heavier file sizes but a lot of times my clients don’t need them. And a lot of times they do. I have a lot of corporate work and i also do advertising and fiction. So i really need both options. It doesn’t make sense 300gb of space for a corporate work (that’s what i got the last time i worked with bmcp4k)
I'll just echo what somebody else said. I think you bought this camera with unrealistic expectations. This is a CINEMA camera, all the points you made apply to most cinema cameras that you have to rig out to use. It's amazing to me how many people don't understand this.
fair points. But it sounds to me you dont need a cinema camera but a RunNGun cam. which, to be fair, the bmpcc never intended to be.
