I had a Clug. If your tire loses air, as they often do, the bike falls off the wall. Mine landed on my car! Ouch!
Ugh 😞
Bummer. Thanks for the heads up
I really like Ibera. Thanks for posting👍👍👍👍👍

Gene, you have the cleanest bikes and gear I've ever seen. I like to keep my gear clean also but you're doing a great job. Great videos also as usual.
george k Thx! Well, they're not always this clean but having to record so many videos I need to keep stuff looking good. Thx for the props man!!
Stop using your bikes will do the trick. 😂
I really like that Steady Rack! It’s one of the most sturdy and user-friendly of any vertical swivel (the word you were searching for) bike mount I’ve seen! Thanks for showing us these mounts!
Yeah, I'm a fan and looking to get two more for my office. You can stagger the bikes nicely with these racks.
Great review, love your channel.
I'm just a regular woman who loves to ride mtb and Bmx.
I'm not strong or fast, just regular.
Keep up the good work.
Heather Mckay Thx so much for the kind words! Keep riding!!!
3:23 - Oh Damn, that’s the exact bike I have! AND Looking to buy that Ibera wall mount. Perfect! 👌🏻
I have the Ibera wall mounts for my three bikes. It is a great option. Great flexibility for frame options. However, if I had to choose again I would get the SteadyRack. With the steady rack you’re going to be able to fit a lot more bikes on your wall as opposed to using the Ibera wall mount.
Love all three ideas, I could use a couple of each, LOL 😂 great clip once again!!!
Only The Bold Project Yeah man, you've got a lot of bikes!
Great vid.
Thanks for actually showing us how these work real world. A lot of guys just open a box then play demo from brand website
Very helpful. Thank you
Just found your channel. And I love it
MrStatguy Thx so much!!
Nice to see a Diamondback!!
Thanks mate
Good video dude
Bike hoists are my favorite
Subscribed... thanks!
nice info
The Ibera is a great, sturdy hanger.

That is a good point. So I attached mine into wood for most of my testing. The size of the plate would start to crush most drywall if your bike was heavy over time. Think about putting a piece of wood as a back plate behind the rack and attach both to the wall for safer results. It also comes down to the weight of the bike.
@@MyEyesBled It is ment to go on a stud.

I just lean one bike a giant a wall and other against the back of my sofa, I can't mount any racks anywhere, but these are some great options if you need them, nice vid.
If interested, they have free standing racks that won't mark your walls.
I like the 2nd option, but I wonder if it will accommodate a mtb with fairly wide bars.
Wide bars are tough.
do fluids in bikes change the hanging orientation? hydraulic brakes and suspension forks?
I’m interested in more information about your helmet wall storage
Hi. Nice choices. I would need a steady rack of the three you demonstrated. The specs state for fat tires that they are for no more than 2.8" wide. I have a RadRunner that has 3.3" wide. From your video it looks like it should fit. I wonder why they have the width restriction. Any thoughts?
Tough one. Sometimes tire companies give widths and are not always true to the size. Maybe Steady Rack was trying to play it safe? Either way, I love these things and use them every day for my bikes!
First one to do the poll 😄👍🏻
Tomi Saaranen Right one!
My mtb handlebars are quite wide. Would unscrewing the handlebars and letting them dangle till I use the bike damage anything? Got one spot that will fit will just minus the handle bars but I don't want to have to allign the stem to the fork everytime
Clug What happens if your tire looses pressure? Might be in for a surprise once it does lol
Crap, never thought of that. I wonder if Gene can try that out for us.
I'm really sorry I didn't see this comment. Though I have not had the chance to test this, my guess is the bike would come loss once the tires lost their pressure. That's a very good point and one I should have tested and covered in my review. So hard to think of all this stuff when I'm recording UGH!
I'm not sure what kind of walls your attaching to but I figured I'd have to use a stud finder to screw into so the attachment doesn't pull out. And sure enough the first video I came across was on the Clug and the guy figured out right away that he had to attach the Clug to a cabinet as the wall wouldn't work. So I watch your video and it doesn't seem to be an issue in your case. 'splain please.
Very good question. So here's the deal, I have magic walls..... No, just being a PITA! Normally I will always look for a stud and did for the other two racks. With the clug I used these dry wall things that push through the dry wall and pull apart on the other side. These things are crazy strong! I'm responding via my phone right now so I'll link them to you later. Still, I would rather use a stud. Also, part of this depends how tight the wheel gets clamped in that clug. Road bikes just pop out easy. MTB tired get stuck in there rather tightly.
i know this is old video, but i just saw on it Amazon reviews. Do you think the steady rack would work with a beach cruiser bike?
Sorry for the late reply. Yes it would but if the bike has fenders you might need to get the rack that allows for them. But all in all, you can put any bike on these and be good to go.
The Clug looks like a great inexpensive option. They may want to consider adding Velcro straps on each side to better secure the bike to the wall for longer storage periods.
Great point!
The Clug loosk like it wil break after 2 or 3 uses. Wouldn't like seeing my MTB fall to the ground or even worse on my car.
@@dateacha77 This company did some extensive research on durability during product development. Maybe do your research before you make ignorant comments.
Hey IBERA, you need to vertically lengthen the wall mounting plate to distribute the load more evenly otherwise the drywall eventually crushes...
Did that happen to you? What kind of bike did you have hanging from it? I can understand you point, just wondering how heavy the bike was.
Regular Guy Mountain Biking
you can use a 1x4 or 1x6 behind the mount. mount the piece of wood, then mount the ibera to that wood. that should help with crushing the drywall
Thinking of getting the ibera to hang a couple of bikes in my home, do you think finding a stud in the wall would hold a 25 pound bike ok?
Not a problem at all but yes, you must screw this into a stud or it's not going to hold at all.
I wanted the Clugs, but they don’t make them for 3in tires (yet)
Berms And Brews Yeah man, you're not gonna fit a tire like that in this little guy.
Regular Guy Mountain Biking I DM’d them a few a weeks back, and they said a 3in. one is coming! Can’t wait!
With the steady rack how far apart did you space the racks to accommodate for the swivel of multiple bikes?
I wanted to use studs (which is a must unless you put up some other mounting idea. DO NOT USE DRY WALL MOUNTING OPTIONS!!!!) so mine are 32 inches apart. If you want to go with studs you could get away with 16 inches but you would have to stager the hight to accommodate for handle bars. If you choice this option you will loose some swivel room but be able to mount more bikes. Hope this helps!
Thank you for your response. I would definately use studs in our attatched garage for our three mountain bikes. Just the option to use this type or a style in which the bike is vertical on a movable stand. Such decisions!
Hey man what are the pricked for each model?
Chetjr 84 I have links in the description to prices. Since these videos stay up for such a long time I try not to say prices because that always changes.
Would any of theese be a mountable option on a storage unit wall it would need to be non-invasive or portable with like retract or somthin, got anything that might fit
Out of these three only the CLUG would be an option. Both others are going to need you to drill into the studs of the unit. I've personally not had a chance to test any of the racks that are poll based and press between the floor and ceiling.
To add to my reply, the CLUG still does need to be screwed into the wall but it's the least invasive of the three.
Does the fat bike steady rack fit normal mountain bikes too? Steady rack says to buy both smh.
I've read vertically storing a bicycle with hydraulic brakes will bleed out/dry out the brake limes
I've never had that problem. To be honest, I don't even know how that could happen unless you have a leak? That is a sealed system and there should be no problem at all. The only time you need to worry about stuff like that is with your suspension and that has more to do with the bike sitting around in storage too long.
All you need is 2 shelf brackets screwed to the wall and slide some pipe lagging over each side, so it doesn't scratch the paint, you don't need to spend a fortune to hang a bike on the wall.
With a 1 car cinder block walls garage with a full size SUV, I currently hang my bike upside down off hooks on the ceiling. The Ibera Wall mount sounds like a better option for me. Just have to struggle with the drilling of holes in the block and lead sinkers to hold the bolts.
Jack Adler Yeah man, drilling in block can be tough!
Pretty cool man I wonder if leaving the bike upright like number 1 and 3 will do anything to bike. I know they say not to hang them upside down but don't know about vertical. I have a 6 bike Northshore rack and they fit vertically behind truck and I have never had any problems. As always good job keep up good work.
Thim I've heard mixed opinions on the topic. Since I've seen so many shops and other places store bikes like this, I'm rolling the dice. These bikes get used so they won't be racked like this for very like times. Thx for watching!
I wish the clug would fit 2.6 in tire
That would be cool. Something to let them know about?
What a click bait title!! Lol. Great vid
Jeff Lenosky Maybe a little, hahahaha!
I feel the the second one might not be great for your cables, it might stretch them over time I would think.
It seemed to work OK but I could understand your concern. Having internally routed cables would help with that but not all frames have that option.
Rear tire bracket on Steadyrack doesn’t pivot, too. So you’ll dirty the wall anyway having to take the rear wheel out of the bracket to pivot.
painters tape and plastic sheet (4" x 12"). instant, cheap wall protector.
New subscriber really help me a lots
can i rack that in a drywall?
Suggest a good side stand for fatbike
Side stand? Could you explain a little more?
@@rgmtb I am actually looking to buy a side stand that can withheld the weight of my fatbike while parking
How is that Ibera going to hold a 30 lb bike without drilling into concrete?
I drilled into the studs of the wall.
My such long stem you have there Mr Mountainbiker
truckpilot01 That’s what she said 🎉😂😂🎉
@@rgmtb 😂 savage
In a better nutshell.
1. Takes up too much room
2. Doesnt take up floor real estate, but not great for every geometry or frame
3. Expensive but more versatile
Conclusion: everyone loses
What does bike weigh?
The clug seems really flimsy? Is it still alive?
Still around. It's really not that flimsy but does depend on your bike and tires to dictate how stable it will be. The other racks are not as dependent on things like that. Basically, you just can't compare it to something like a Steady Rack but you are at two totally different price points.
"Hi I'm Gene from reulargimtbikn"
Love this video, very informative! I just did a video on a floor mount for my bike. Feel free to check it out!
I'll check it out!
Do you people in the US actually eat pancakes for breakfast?
Tomi Saaranen Hell yeah!!!! With chocolate chips in them covered in Maple syrup!
Sorry, but that's just weird!
@@th_js When u say pancake do u mean a bar that you at like an oat bar? Cause I've heard them called pancakes in other countries. If so that is nothing like a breakfast pancake in the U.S. here's an emoji of a us pancake. 🥞. Look them up there delicious
Uh yeah it's just bread and whatever u drink it with

I dislike every video that asks me to like & subscribe before they've even given me any content. Just an FYI.
Shame about the verbal diahrrea....explanation description level of a 6 year old...."It moves".
He meant to say pivots. Leave him alone. At least he took the time to make this video and review 3 great options.
Feeling the love! Thank you ;-)
I t swivels?
