    Man Trist, you've got the 3 perfect Rolexes, literally. If I had to choose 3 Rolex watches I'd choose the EXACT references you have. Back in the day when you had the Submariner I thought to myself "I hope Trist gets my personal holy trinity, the 36mm Explorer and the Pepsi GMT (the exact one you own now). The Navi of course, my all-time favorite watch is also a part of your collection. Your collection leaves me speechless! Congrats!

    Hey TGV, just wanted to say that I'm a huge fan of your channel. I've had an interest in watches since I was a kid (maybe 5 years old?) but that interest sat dormant for years until I stumbled onto your channel. I've already purchased 3 pieces this year and am already planning 3-4 more before the end of the year. I don't comment much but I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for all of the work you put into your videos, we all really appreciate it!

    Us watch collectors are a unique bunch - selling the two tone Tudor with day and date functionality to buy a steel time only explorer , logically its inexplicable, its just that connection we feel to different watches, like love

    What an incredible collection you have there. As you were bringing out the watches, I was thinking you'd say something like "the noise you're hearing are my friends jackhammering the Invicta for my review. Please disregard."

  • @ernanijunior7963

    Outstanding collection, TGV! Really stunning. We can see clearly all the love and thoughts you have put on it. It has almost everything: old, new, great colors, basic and busy dials, pilots, divers, dress watches, chronographs... My collection has grown too: I bought a new INOX Professional Diver in a black dial and a super bracelet that transforms completely the watch (this is my fourth INOX). Keep making this channel a jewel for the lovers of horology.

    "Embrace the madness!" - Yes, absolutely. I'm going to steal your idea of having a logbook to track incoming/outgoing watches. I was surprised about your little Tudor DD leaving - thought it was a keeper for you. As for the Tiger - she's in good hands! Love your new Explorer. Isn't it fun to see how our collections morph over the year(s)? Ciao, John

    Love your collection. You have several I plan to add to my collection as well! I enjoyed your comments, and couldn't agree more when you laid out the first 3 of your collection.. The SKX, the Squale, then the Sub! That IS a nice collection on its own. But the collection only gets better as you kept laying them out! Because of you I have added the Squale on my list of future purchases. It's a fantastic watch! Love the look.. Something about that Orange minute hand on the Squale gets me everytime. Much respect and I appreciate all your hard work you do to keep your channel exciting.

    Hi TGV,
    I hope this finds you well my friend. Congrats on your current state of the collection. It was fun to watch.
    I have to smile when you explained, that you failed to consolidate your collection. ;) I'm still trying to keep my core collection small. And my midrange goal is still the Zenith El Primero 1969 Chronograph. I'm going to sacrifice up to three of my other core timepieces. Ending up with five pieces in total: Zenith, Rolex OP, Omega SMP, Nomos Orion and a free slot currently filled with my G-Shock.
    Best regards,
    Claus

      P.s. Do you still have the Skywalker by any chance?

      Tristano I still have Skywalker and it's not going anywhere. First because it's from you and second because I love that piece. I will be wearing it in December when going for Star Wars premiere. Keep up great work you do for horology community. Cheers mate!

    My jaw hung open the entire time you were going down the list on that yellow paper. Baby blue, the tiger, little Henry! Thank God you finished that list with the Charles Frodsham. I would love to hear the minute repeater on that one. I yelled YES when I saw you still have Flighty. I have mine as well and love it. Buying a marathon navigator in the next few days. My favorites of yours are the 1521, the jelly fish, the Rattrapante and most of all the Janeiro. I will be so disappointed if you sell the Janeiro and I am unable to buy it. I'll still watch the channel though lol.

      @myvenusinuranus 7 лет назад

      no, not the Squale or the Breitling or the sub......just the 36mm Explorer
      I have small wrists and 36mm is the perfect size. I like the simplicity of the Explorer. it's always been one of my top favorite watches. I've never found a used one for sale ever

    • @TatzkaTube
      @TatzkaTube 7 лет назад

      Yes, it is an amazing watch. I'm propably going to buy a little more expensive watch for my budget in 1 year or something, but explorer is still quite expensive for me. Tudor black bay 36 is a great cheaper option, which I might want. The case shape is just not as slender as explorer's.

    I am gla you decided to keep the Rattrapante, that's a very special watch!! It's funny to be here since the first STOC: in one, you say you'll be consolidating, because your collection has grown far too big. In the next one, you say you decied to embrace the chaos LOL how not to love this channel??
    Best regards T!!

    Love all your watches. An amazing and Beautiful watch collection and Thanks for sharing. I'd upgrade the Sinn 104 to a U1."Real Sumbmarine metal same Silleta sw 200 movement." "Thought I'd just throw that in."

    Great SOTC vid sir. Such a varied and interesting collection that you clearly put thought into. And more importantly, not a hint of the snobbery that can often be found amongst watch folk. ❤️'ing that Pepsi!

    Hi TGV, great channel, I'm now a subscriber. I've got a collection, which includes Seamaster Planet Ocean 2500, SMPC 41.5, Breitling Transocean, IWC pilot petit prince, Tag Acquaracer and a Frederique constant classics, but I've been hankering after a rolex for a while. Great to see you're still wearing the Explorer 1 as I think it'd complement my collection better than the SubC. Given you have both in your collection I'd be interested in your experience of living with them daily. All the best Adam, from a sunny Sunbury on Thames UK

    That Tissot is one of the most classically beautiful watches I've ever seen. It will be a shame to see it go.

    I love how they went back to the original idea of having one alien/a small amount of aliens in the movies, not hordes of aliens that die like flies as they did before. This is so much more suspenseful and unique.

    Was wondering where you got that Seiko SKX007 Cerakote, I'm trying to find one but it seems kinda rare. Did you get it coated yourself or it came in that way ?

    Hi TGV
    Ohhhh.....must have hurt sacrificing that nice little Tudor Day-Date. But still; in exchange for the Explorer it's very understandable.
    Your collection is somewhat getting more & more perfect, I think. More refined and still with exiting and not too obvious choices.
    Keep up the good work...
