Ceri, my jaw is on the floor! This has got to be one of the best pulls I’ve seen. I dare say that you just may have surpassed P on this with the addition of the mark making just before the pull layer. This is going to make one heck of a journal cover-I cant wait to see it
Beautifully done! The artist in you can’t be contained, it just bursts out in all your pieces of art. I always enjoy watching your creative process especially when you are challenging yourself.
I watch your videos so I can codify what it is I do--you are ever so helpful in doing that! I just slap paint on and think about the results later...as I watch someone else do it, I can begin to understand what I did and why I did it. I hope that makes sense. The colors you used going with alternating the darks and lights is exactly what needed to be done. Adding the textural bits was an excellent idea--I shall try that--because it is another element that will show up in the pull. Also adding that quick brayer of the light pink is another thing I shall try. The suspense was visceral at the end!!!!!! What a beauty! The extra textures are a marvelous addition and the choice for the final pull was perfect! Well done!!!!!! Thank you for doing this video. It gave me ideas for future "Long Hauls"!
Patricia you’ve inspired me to be brave in my creativity and I thank you your that. By sharing knowledge, techniques, successes and learning experiences we can all grow in our creative souls and help each other develop our own style and art. You are a gem. ❤️
That is absolutely stunning! Combining Patricia's method with your method was brilliant! I'm going to try it next time! Thankyou so much for showing us. I hope your injuries are beginning to feel less painful.❤
❤ Ceri, this is beautiful. The tissue pulls are each lovely in their own way. You are very patient. 🙂 Thank you for taking us on your first long haul on the Gel-Plate. Everything, turned out lovely and your final pull is breath taking. Simply Gorgeous 😍
That was absolutely stunning Ceri, what an incredible artist you are, as you started to pull it off the plate I could feel myself holding my breath, just stunning is all I can say, well done Ceri.
OMG Ceri, you outdid yourself with this one. It’s a great technique with an excellent result. In my opinion, you are absolutely growing in confidence. You have a wonderful “eye” with great intuition. Thank you for sharing with us. 🇦🇺
Wow….I was holding my breath as you did this pull….lol. That was so beautiful and I was afraid it might not pull all in one gorgeous piece but it did and it is so AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! This was a labor of love and I think this print should go in a lovely frame to hang on the wall so you can admire it every time you pass by it. Wonderful job and thank you! 🥰
Magnificent, Ceri! 🎉 Thanks for the detail tip. I think this will really help my prints. 👌 AND "Sometimes the gel plate sits in the corner and sniggers at you" - PRICELESS! 😂
Ceri, Ceri, Ceri, Wow Wow Wow, is this just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, I love this piece you have created. You did it my friend, wow, I just can't talk, I have no word for this piece of beautiful art. You did it!!! I could not ever do any thing this beautiful. Thanks Ceri for such a wonderful video you made for us. You took us on your journey and it was amazing. Thanks Ceri.
I was holding my breath at the end for the final pull! Way to create some drama, Ceri. It's absolutely gorgeous. The little bit of pink just makes it sing and brings in a lovely brightness. Thanks for sharing.
Truly amazing. My words can’t described how gorgeous it is. It looks like examples found in books about gel printing. That will be a wonderful journal cover
Oh Ceri... I fell asleep last night during the copper strictly due to pain meds. I kept trying to watch but I crashed and woke up two hours later. I am back and so thrilled with your outcome!!!! This is so completely incredible. The depth and creativity. I was nervous about the stamped parts, and think they're my favorite parts!!!!
@@CeriGriffiths I'm afraid my knees are completely bone on bone. Replacement is not available because I'm too heavy. And diet alone is a long path. But because of the knees exercise is is too painful. Catch 22 But not every day is as bad. We're in a round of tain this week which does not help with joints. Thanks for your good wishes. They are appreciated very very much!
Ceri, this print is stunning! I was holding my breath while you were doing the last pull. Well done, you! Thanks for bringing us along on this adventure!
@@CeriGriffithsI don’t know if I’d be able to bring myself to cut it up. I would be inclined to leave it as it is as a reminder of a process I was apprehensive about but dove in anyway and ended up with a gorgeous piece of art; to say nothing about the satisfaction of learning (and teaching!) that process!
Thank you so much for sharing this video Ceri. I particularly appreciate you allowing us to see the first time you try a new technique and the thought processes you go through as you work. That is so inspiring as it helps me to understand so many of the decisions artists like you have to make constantly as they go along. I watch lots of artists and crafters on RUclips and you are head and shoulders the best on so many levels, especially the exceptionally high quality of the way you articulate your thought processes as you go. I can’t thank you enough for ‘legitimising’ the time I take to make my own artistic decisions. You mentioned at the end of this video that you ‘procrastinate’, (almost apologising for this) and encouraging viewers to fast forward. However, for me, what you call ‘procrastination’ is extremely interesting and helpful. Unlike so many RUclipsrs, your chat is always relevant to the task and so informative. Thank you so much for Ceri.
Very striking and so special. Cerii you are an amazing artist and the creative colors and textures all come together so magical. Held my breath as you lifted up the edges. It was all worth it!
Hi Ceri, greetings from Maine! You did a fabulous job on this creation. I ‘ve been watching and enjoying your videos all year, and I had to chuckle when I guessed correctly several of the colors you would use next-as I would have done the same. Your tip on thinking through the placement of the individual stencils because the pull would be reversed was a great one to keep in mind. Thanks for taking the challenge after seeing Patricia’s results and sharing your attempt with us. Just goes to show to not give up if you don’t succeed right away. The end result, and many of the pulls are just stunning! Thank you!❤
That may be the best gel print I’ve ever seen. It’s absolutely perfect and totally worth the Simon cowell build up to building it (due to your nervousness, not in a bad way 😂). I actually have goosebumps with it. I think you should frame it rather than cut it up.
Ceri you did such a beautiful job; I had to watch it twice, your are very good at whatever you do, very happy to have found you, really enjoying it. 😄😃
What an absolutely stunning print. It turned out beautiful. I am now inspired to give this a try tomorrow. Thank you so much for trying this new technique for you on video.
Oh, WOW Ceri!!! It's totally fantastic!!! Love it so much. Still can see your style in it. Which I like. I never really see people do texture on their prints the way you do! I always forget to try that! Need to write myself a note!! LOL! It's definitely a successful piece. I'm like you with layout and details. But I think it shows in your work. GREAT VIDEO! I will watch it several times. TFS Austin TX USA
@@CeriGriffiths honestly Ceri, I think this was sooo informative. I figured out about how much time the whole process took,, close to 3 hours. So, if I decide to do something to test my ability to mimic you I will allow for 4 hours, lol.
