    Hey Alvin- thanks for making all these vids on bass fly fishing! I've wanted to get into fly fishing but I live outside of Dallas near Lake Ray Hubbard and fish there and Lavon lake with my dad. Bass fishing is a lot different from Trout and Salmon fishing. We Catfish and troll for Bass on his boat and this is something I want to learn to river fish in other parts of the country. Bass are easy to catch by comparison.

    Thanks a lot Alvin. I’m saving this video to up my arsenal for this Springs big bass attack. You’ve helped so much already and it’s much appreciated. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for the New Year! 👍👌✌️🎣🙂

    I think I was one of the people that asked you to show us all those flies one day, if not I meant to. Thanks for following through Alvin! You make great content, keep it up!

    Totally agree with your crayfish choice for fall and winter fishing. I always look forward to the crayfish bite here in east Tennessee in the fall and winter months for Smallmouth in our local rivers. Not only is it a great time for big fish but you'll usually have the water to yourself.

    I live near lake Oconee in Georgia with plenty of Bass and Crappie, just bought a ton of flies that resemble what you’ve tied on your guide fly series and I jumped down the rabbit hole of buying a vice and starter kit which doesn’t have everything but I want to get the hang of just simple techniques of tying. Thanks so much for the inspiration, hope I can shake your hand one day.

    For anyone wondering, the boxes are Plano Prolatch Model #2-3610 for all but the clouser. The clouser one is Plano 2-3601.

    We don’t have bass in my country but what you do seems really similar to how I fish for the small pike and perch in my local man made canals.
    I really enjoy your vids as it’s always good to cross pollinate the ideas. Plenty to get the mind working here.
    Hope to one day get over there to hire you. Greetings from sunny Scotland👍

    Love your videos as I've just started fishing for bass. I've been viewing all of your fly tying videos (I think) and with the exception of the clouser, none of your flies have any weight on them. Have ever tried putting a cone or bead on your Fat Baby, Rabbit Craw or Snake?

    Love the video, been trying to figure out how to organize my bass flies forever. The "snakes" category really filled that gap. Quick question, would you put something like a lunch money with clousers or leeches? Thanks for all the content, its all been great!

    Would love to know your recommendations about fly rods for bass fishing. I’ve recently moved to an area that requires I change from trout to bass. Questioning whether my Orvis Clearwater 5 weight is up to the job.

    • @AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing
      @AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing  2 года назад +1

      You can catch bass on the 5 weight for now. Might have to throw some smaller flies, but it will work. Depends on where you are fishing. On some of our smaller streams we use 5 weights. Bigger rivers and lakes might be better with a 7 weight, good luck!
