    I love that this video was in two parts and we got to see the fly in action.
    I think it would be cool to see you do a fly tying challenge video. Put a bunch of material in a bag and pull three out blind, then you gotta try to catch something with whatever random fly you tie.

      I might have to give that a try. I can make a fly out of anything! 😂

      Would love to see a “revisit” to the “Dedeaux Popper,” and a fishing sample later this Spring!
      Such a great fly…

    I live on a well known largemouth lake on the Oregon coast. I fish both conventional bass tackle and flies. I tied this up in olive with black eyes and fished it the other day. This was the first time a fly outfished my baitcast setups. Will be tying up some of your poppers next. Cheers.

    Love the leech/worm style flies for bass. I’ll have to whip up a few similar and try them out on some northern waters.

    Is there any advantage to the worm hook or could you also use something like a larger B10S?

    • @AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing
      @AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing  5 месяцев назад

      Probably not. I just had them and was trying to make something that resembled a rubber worm.

    You are a much more experienced tyer than I am, but have you tried using schlappen feathers instead of saddle hackle?

    • @AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing
      @AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I have and you are right that would have been better, but I just used what I had at the house.

      @@AlvinDedeauxFlyFishinggood deal, I figured there must have been a reason for not using the schlappen. I’m going to tie some up and fish them up here in middle Tennessee.

    I tied this up and I'm really happy with the result... But I have no idea what kind of technique/speed to use. Do you have any examples of that?

    • @AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing
      @AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing  3 месяца назад +1

      I have had the best luck fishing it deep and really slow. Pretty much dragging it on the bottom.
